It's exactly what it claims to be, a mystery box of mystery lures or accessories for Ice Fishing, although one draw back is that its more than the normal Mystery Tackle Box' by about 5 dollars, still happy with it.

bjwiener
I only use Sufix brand line. I use braided line on my walleye rods and mono on my panfish rods. I have had very good luck with this product in the cold water. It does n't get brittle when in the water and there is less coil in the line unlike other brands of ice fishing line. I would recommend this product to anybody who is considering changing line.

Large mouth, small mouth, pickerel, perch, and stripers love these lures, particularly the gold color in fish- appropriate sizes. Fishermen must love them too as they fly off the shelves. I buy them when available and resist the urge to hoard them. The weight and aerodynamic shape allow them to cast farther than most lures their size.

Bought it about a couple months ago. Nothing has broken. Takes the abuse of a heavy chatter bait with trailer. nothing has broken on it. I put 20lb braid on it. Overall I 'd say give it a shot for the price

This reel was purchased for use on an ice fishing rod. It was purchased too late in the season to be tested but I have over 40 years experience with Daiwa Reels and Rods so there is little doubt it will live up to the Daiwa repuration. It is very smooth reeling and fits and feels perfect on the Berkley ice rod.

When selecting ice fishing gear, beginners should consider the type of fish they plan to catch, the local ice conditions, and their level of experience. It's important to choose gear that is user-friendly and suited for the specific fishing environment. Lightweight and portable options are often ideal for those just starting out.
Yes, beginners may benefit from using gear that is designed for ease of use, such as simple rod and reel combos and basic tackle. These options typically come with everything needed to get started, making it easier for newcomers to focus on learning the basics of ice fishing without being overwhelmed by complex setups.
Ice fishing gear is often made from durable materials that can withstand cold temperatures and harsh conditions. Common materials include fiberglass or graphite for rods, and corrosion-resistant metals for reels. Additionally, tackle and lures may be made from various plastics and metals designed to attract fish effectively.
The style of ice fishing gear can significantly impact performance, as different designs cater to various fishing techniques and species. For instance, some gear is optimized for catching larger fish, while others are tailored for panfish. Understanding the intended use of each style can help beginners make informed choices.
In addition to basic fishing gear, beginners should consider essential accessories such as an ice auger for drilling holes, a sled for transporting gear, and safety equipment like ice picks. A good tackle box for organizing lures and bait is also important, as well as warm clothing to ensure comfort during long hours on the ice.
While regular fishing gear can be used for ice fishing, specialized ice fishing gear is recommended for optimal performance and safety. Ice fishing gear is designed to function effectively in cold conditions and is often more portable and easier to handle on the ice. Using the right gear can enhance the overall fishing experience.
