I purchased this seat in hopes that it would give me a little more support than the original seat in my kayak. I did n't even remove the old seat. I just inflated the lumbar back( fabulous) I must say and sat it in the kayak over the original seat. The new seat is a little higher on my back and the lumbar area gives me the support for a very comfortable ride. I have had back surgery in the low back area and when I would spend time on the water, I always had back pain. I tried flotation cushions to raise me up higher or behind me to give additional support. Now that I have this particular seat I no longer have to put any additional padding anywhere. I am so glad to have found this seat. Now I can kayak for any amount of time I want. Great buy, great price, for such a remarkable cushion.

I have a regular seat and later on learnt about this lumbar support seat. I ordered one and was glad I did cause after a few hours on the water the lumbar seat definitely helps prevent a sore lower back. I use it in my Advanced Elements Convertible( 2 person) kayak. I 've had this kayak for a few years now and we absolutely love it!! I weigh almost 300 lbs and it is very stable. My daughter has a pink youth kayak and we lay down the seats in our Honda CRV( 2008) put mine in nose first, seatbelt through the hand grip, then put hers in upside down and backwards, attaching her hand grip at the nose of her kayak to the back hand grip of my kayak. They both fit perfectly with all our camping stuff underneath. The seat back is so comfortable and worth it!! I got a lifevest that's shorter in the back specifically for kayaking and we can be on the lake all day. Tracking straight takes some time to master, it will seem impossible at first, and even then, it is never great, but it is incredibly stable, you can stand up in it and fish, and easy to transport. I coupled with a MinnKota 45 lb. thrust trolling motor and it moves me around well. I ’ m 5 ’ 10 ” and weigh 200. I carry a 10 lb anchor which I store under the battery cover to distribute the weight. The 360 swivel works well for me. I am 70 and do not stand up while fishing but I know much younger people could. I ’ ve landed several 5 lb. bass on an ultralight rod in it.

This isnt an inexpensive kayak but you get more than what you pay for in a stabile one person fishing craft that is packed with good features. Are the flaws? Sure there are some things they might want to consider such as the raised track handles put quit a bit on leverage on the hull but having those tracks there opens up all kinds of possibilities. This was my first yak and I ca n't imagine I could have bought any better this boat is as much fun as it is functional. One suggestion for future models is a sucken battery well to lower the center of gravity a bit and to help keep the battery in place.

I bought a 8ft lifetime kayak for my daughters birthday( larger one, she grew out of her lifetime kid kayak) and only a display kayak was available, except a hook plug was missing for attaching the seat( water was getting into the inner kayak).. Great product for general purpose use such as lakes, slow rivers and calm bays. The rod holders are too shallow but with some ingenuity they are useable.

Overall, this is a really nice kayak for the price point... especially on sale. It's solid and durable, which also makes it a bit heavy. I do have a handful of complaints. First of all, the rod holders behind the seat are huge. The diameter is quite large, which increases the chance of losing a rod. I find it ridiculous that Perception sells inserts for these. The second complaint is the side handles. Aesthetically they are great. They are streamlined and sleek. Functionally, they 're less than perfect. You can only grip them one way. The cavity is on the inside of the boat so you 're fingers can only grip that side. It makes it more difficult to load on top of a vehicle. The front rod holder is n't great either. There's a RAM mount, but's it's a 1- 1/2 '' ball, which limits your options. You could get a 1 '' ball, but it's$ 20+. A small deck hatch, right in front of the seat would have been nice for phone/keys/etc. The seats not bad. I would still recommend as no boat in this range is going to be perfect.

I really like that I have options to choose from a sit in to sit on top. Transitioning between the two was really easy and I could do by myself. It handled really well in the water better than my other sit on top kayaks. It balances really nicely so if you ’ re not sure of your skills you will be comfortable giving kayaking a try on this. It did take 2 of us to move it. I ’ m sure a taller stronger person would have no trouble. I am 5 ’ 4 ” and used the foot rest at the very top, so there is definitely plenty of room for a taller person. But it also was a nice fit for me. The sit in top does have a lip so you could put a skirt on it, but I wouldn ’ t as there ’s is nothing on the side connection that would stop water from coming in like a rubber seal. For the small details it has a curve in the top side and strap for your paddle holder. A small cubby you could put your phone and stuff in with easy access and it ’s not on the floor. There is a lay down cup holder, which held my drink but I didn ’ t like as my bottle got wet. And sometimes I have a drink that the lid is open so I would have nowhere to put it. All together though this is a great option if you want the best of both worlds. I plan on taking this instead of my other kayaks so I can transition and enjoy the best of both!

Wow! What a great idea. Many kayakers want a sit on top for the warmer months of the year, while they might also want a sit inside for the cooler months of the year. Or, they might want a sit inside on a summer day to keep the sun off their legs. The Cabrio 11- does both! It ’s a convertible! Pull it ’s top off for an open air sit on top experience, or put it ’s top on for a sit inside experience. It ’s your choice! My favorite feature is the little cubby hole storage area for my phone that is in easy reach just under the sit inside cover, really cool idea! This seems like a very durable kayak with its HDPE construction and I really like how Lifetime has treated the kayak to resist UV damage, like they do all of their other outdoor products! Check out the Cabrio 11- it ’s worth your time and money!

I was given the opportunity to test this kayak for Lifetime. I used to kayak a lot, both whitewater and recreational. Now I have 4 kids and I have not been able to be as active as I would have liked. This kayak caught our eye because for our kids the sit on top feature is really nice, they do not feel trapped and they like to jump on and off. For me, it was nice to have the ability to put the cover on and stay a little drier. If. I get a chance to take it on a river the cover is nice to avoid all the water coming over the edge. I really like the storage area on the back, there is a little storage at the front as well and even a small place in the cover for small items that would stay dry. the kayak is very large and stable, great for beginners, though it is very large. It is also heavy, definitely a two person job to move it and load it most of the time. The handles seem durable and are convenient for carrying the kayak to the shore. The cover comes on and off easily, my eleven year old had no problem taking it off then putting it back on. This is a great family recreation boat!

Very stable, tracks well, and the seat is fairly comfortable. I think I need to get myself a set of wheels for the back end because it is a little tough to carry by myself. Also want to get a dry bag for my keys and wallet.( Ziplock bags worked ok, but something more sturdy might be good.) I am pleased with my Quest Canyon 100 and am so glad I got it on sale.

This is an absolutely excellent kayak for beginners and seasoned kayakers alike. The width of the Passage offers exceptional stability, while its shorter length makes it easy to maneuver through both large and small bodies of water. The seat is surprisingly comfortable even when sitting for 3+ hours. Although this is not classed as an angler kayak, the built- in paddle keeper makes it easy to bring a rod and reel along if desired. The back scupper holes also fit my poles perfectly, so they may as well be flush mounted rod holders! My only qualm with this yak is the lack of storage/a dry well- if it had that, it would be the perfect yak. This has been a great purchase, and I love that it fits both myself( 5' 1 '') and my 30lb pup. It's also fairly light and not as much of a pain to lug around as I expected, which is a big bonus!

Review: Great First Experience with the Quest Passage 100 I recently took my Quest Passage 100 out on my local neighborhood pond for the first time, and it performed beautifully. The kayak felt incredibly stable, even sitting on top, and paddling was smooth and easy. The departure was seamless, and the back support was very comfortable throughout my time on the water. There ’s plenty of legroom, which is a big plus, and the cup holder and fishing pole spots are well- placed and convenient. I especially love the storage area in the back—it ’s perfect for a cooler or any gear you need, and the bungee cords keep everything secure. Overall, I ’ m really happy with this kayak and can ’ t wait to take it out again!

I love all the features this kayak has, they have thought about everything an avid kayaker needs. I love how comfortable the seat is. You can tell it ’s made with high quality materials. Would definitely recommend this for any type of kayaker.

I first tried out this kayak about a month about and was so surprised by how comfortable it was! I ’ ve used other kayaks previously and left the experience feeling sore and stiff, but not with this one. I spent over an hour in it and felt great when I was done kayaking!
