More time to fish
I had an old aluminum canoe that had been a great fishing canoe, but at 86 pounds I could no longer handle it. The Pelican Catch Classic 100 weighs only 58 pounds and slides easily on and off my truck. Plus, I 've already caught a lot of fish. I use a seat cushion that adds about 3 inches to the chair of the kayak and puts me up a bit higher. The kayak is great for about 2- 2. 5 hours of fishing. I have n't had it out in much wind yet, but it handles pretty well.

This is the second boat I have purchased after buying one last year for my son. The boat is highly rated and did a lot of homework before buying. We use this to fish back bay fishing and crabbing. It's a great stable boat and you get a lot for the price point. It's also easy to load since it's only 10 feet long making it a lot lighter than larger boats.

I bought this kayak last spring and have used it so many times, primarily upstream on the river. Its comfortable and has been from when I began kayaking at 260 lbs and still today at 170lbs:) highly recommend, this thing has become my best friend.

I bought this at the store, the employees were very helpful and knowledgeable. This is my first kayak, and I could n't have been happier on my first outing. I 'm 65, and bigger than the average lady, so I wanted to be sure I got a stable, easy to use kayak. Launching and getting out were easy, I felt very secure. I recommend this to anyone who wants a sit- in kayak with several bells and whistles.
