[ We purchased the Beach Sport kayak for the ability to bring Tippi, our Golden Doodle along with us! We had our maiden voyage in Alamitos Bay, and paddled around Naples Canals in Long Beach California! Tippi loved it and got her sea legs going fine! We love to include her in our adventures, and the other Kayaks did not have room for her. The boat felt stable and solid for paddling in the nice calm bay. My husband paddled Mombo( the name for the new black kayak). I paddled his Coast xt— that one is a pain to assemble,( compared to my Bay ST), but the paddle is sweet and fast. My Bay St started leaking, which is also what spurred the new purchase. I paddled much more than my husband, so the Coast is in pretty good shape— but I noticed a little compromise on one of the folding corners! I might need to repair it before it leaks. Being 6 ’ 4 ”( 170 lbs) with 36 ” inseam legs and size 14 feet, I was worried. But after trying the Beach LT out on a lake for 2 hours( 5- 6 miles), I ’ m happy with the comfortable fit with plenty of room and adjustment range left for taller people. Compared to my similar sized conventional kayak( Wilderness Systems Tarpon 120) the Beach LT is a bit faster. But it also tracks less well and is more tippy due to the more v- shaped bottom. Small prices to pay for the easy transport advantages.

The Inlet is great fun to paddle on small inland lakes and rivers. It takes up very little space when folded, and is quick and easy for one person to set up. One tiny nit to pick: the bulkheads are a little tricky to position. I ’ ve marked the bottoms of mine with dots to help align them, and it would be helpful for the setup instructions to be clearer about where the tops of the bulkheads should line up. Perhaps alignment marks could be added to the skin at both top and bottom. I am very happy with this boat.

After a few years of looking and thinking and being a bit concerned about the price, I finally decided which kayak I wanted- and then which Oru model made the most sense. I had originally thought I wanted the Bay for the closed sitting area, but went with the Inlet. My use will be less `` sporty '' and more recreational and the open area seemed fine. I have now taken her on her maiden voyage at a small lake near me. I first spent the time needed to figure out how to put her together in my living room. When I did it for the first time on the beach, it took under 5 minutes and less than that to take it apart. My 30 minute paddle on the lake was fun. The Inlet was very stable. I did drip water into the boat when paddling, but it was a warm day and felt good and was not enough that my seat got wet. I 'm excited to do more paddling. I can see that the cost is what one pays for light weight, portability, and ease of assembly. I 'm ok with that. I 'll be able to play with this model for many years to come.

We love these kayaks! They are the first ones we have ever had and we like the features that they have. Waterproof storage comes in handy for our phones and keys. The straps on the back hold our life vests nicely. The reclining seatbacks are nice as well, except one of straps sometimes breaks free if you lean back to hard. Might have to fix that one. Otherwise we are very happy with them!

I coupled with a MinnKota 45 lb. thrust trolling motor and it moves me around well. I ’ m 5 ’ 10 ” and weigh 200. I carry a 10 lb anchor which I store under the battery cover to distribute the weight. The 360 swivel works well for me. I am 70 and do not stand up while fishing but I know much younger people could. I ’ ve landed several 5 lb. bass on an ultralight rod in it.

This isnt an inexpensive kayak but you get more than what you pay for in a stabile one person fishing craft that is packed with good features. Are the flaws? Sure there are some things they might want to consider such as the raised track handles put quit a bit on leverage on the hull but having those tracks there opens up all kinds of possibilities. This was my first yak and I ca n't imagine I could have bought any better this boat is as much fun as it is functional. One suggestion for future models is a sucken battery well to lower the center of gravity a bit and to help keep the battery in place.

I am not new to paddle sports, but this is my first kayak( at age 62!). Just had my maiden voyage( on a lake with very little wind) and it was so nice! Very stable, tracks well, and the seat is fairly comfortable. I think I need to get myself a set of wheels for the back end because it is a little tough to carry by myself. Also want to get a dry bag for my keys and wallet.( Ziplock bags worked ok, but something more sturdy might be good.) I am pleased with my Quest Canyon 100 and am so glad I got it on sale.

Overall, this is a really nice kayak for the price point... especially on sale. It's solid and durable, which also makes it a bit heavy. I do have a handful of complaints. First of all, the rod holders behind the seat are huge. The diameter is quite large, which increases the chance of losing a rod. I find it ridiculous that Perception sells inserts for these. The second complaint is the side handles. Aesthetically they are great. They are streamlined and sleek. Functionally, they 're less than perfect. You can only grip them one way. The cavity is on the inside of the boat so you 're fingers can only grip that side. It makes it more difficult to load on top of a vehicle. The front rod holder is n't great either. There's a RAM mount, but's it's a 1- 1/2 '' ball, which limits your options. You could get a 1 '' ball, but it's$ 20+. A small deck hatch, right in front of the seat would have been nice for phone/keys/etc. The seats not bad. I would still recommend as no boat in this range is going to be perfect.

You can ’ t beat it. It trails amazing. Turning is a bit hard than the 10 XT. So many accessories and options on the kayak and a very comfortable seat. Very stable kayak and a large cockpit. It is so relaxing to have your legs out over the kayak and seat all the way back. Also, if you ’ re like me that likes to do overnight camping, kayak will supply you with all that room. And it ’s not only perfect for that, it perfect for just an hour on the water. You get what you paid for. So If you ’ re looking for a kayak that is easy to paddle, vapor is way to go. Was walleye fishing on a large bowl shaped lake known for rough water. I paddled out to a point and started catching walleye. The wind came up and the 14- 16 ’ v bottom aluminum boats headed for the marina. I paddled out for another drift. I didn ’ t head in until I took a wave over the side and thought maybe that was enough. Great, stable kayaks! I have a Vapor 10 as well. Building a farm pond on my property this fall. They will see heavy use from here on out.

First time trying out my new Vapor 12 Angler that I actually bought for my 12 YO Grandson on a local lake to see how it handled in the 20 mph wind. Funny thing, side wind wanted to push the stern and not the high profile bow. Tracked well with a tail wind and into the wind. Slides easily through the water reasonably fast with no fatigue. He likes over night Kayak camping on the quiet slow to medium flow streams in the area and I see this as having plenty of room for his gear. His take on it, He loves it and had no trouble with the side wind pushing the stern, might be because of his lighter weight Ample room for my 6' 2 '' 185 lb frame. Seat adjust, modest thigh/knee pads plus moving the drain plug to the bow rather than the gunnel are very good. Very nice kayak for the money. Four stars for the stern slipping in the wind. I got this double kayak for my two boys that absolutely love to fish, swim and be on the water. It took us about 10 minutes to pump up which is not bad to be on the water paddling around and/or fishing out in the open water for the day. The seats were surprisingly comfortable for a long paddle session and the it was a sturdy ride. It was super easy to maneuver through the water. We ’ ve always wanted kayaks but didn ’ t have the room to store them. This comes with a storage bag that is easy to put the folded kayak back once dry that fits the oars and pump with ease. Amazing!

This inflatable kayak has worked well to paddle in our creek and out to the river with my son or daughter. I am careful to avoid downed trees or anything that could puncture it. We also plan to use it in the ocean and intracoastal. My 9yr old son fully inflated and assembled it by himself. It comes with 2 seats, 2 paddles, pump, repair kit, fins, and a nice zippered storage bag. While it is easy to setup, it does take some time and should be noted that there are a lot of parts to keep up with and the once inside the bag it is quite heavy and large to store or transport. For one person, it takes about 15 minutes to deflate and packup and bw 30- 45min to set up the first few times.

Bought this as a second kayak to our 13. 5 rambler. We are a family of 4 and kids are getting bigger. One of us uses this while the other three go in the big kayak. Got this kayak a couple months ago and I have used it twice. It is the best bang for your buck when it comes to the accessories( rod holders, built in tracks) plus having the comfortable seat. Little tippy at first but after getting out for a while it tracks well. I would recommend this to anyone who wants the best bang for your buck. I am going to try to put a trolling motor on it this summer. I am 6' 2 '' 230 lb so I might be over the weight capacity. No problems with the dry storage like other reviews. Ca n't find a better deal, plus the purple is nice.

This is an absolutely excellent kayak for beginners and seasoned kayakers alike. The width of the Passage offers exceptional stability, while its shorter length makes it easy to maneuver through both large and small bodies of water. The seat is surprisingly comfortable even when sitting for 3+ hours. Although this is not classed as an angler kayak, the built- in paddle keeper makes it easy to bring a rod and reel along if desired. The back scupper holes also fit my poles perfectly, so they may as well be flush mounted rod holders! My only qualm with this yak is the lack of storage/a dry well- if it had that, it would be the perfect yak. This has been a great purchase, and I love that it fits both myself( 5' 1 '') and my 30lb pup. It's also fairly light and not as much of a pain to lug around as I expected, which is a big bonus!

There ’s plenty of legroom, which is a big plus, and the cup holder and fishing pole spots are well- placed and convenient. My husband and I purchased this after experiencing a tandem kayak for the first time while on a cruise. At first I thought it would be difficult to paddle as a team but it was the most fun we 've had in awhile! The Perception Rambler has a bit of weight to it but between the two of us we can easily carry it to the water. This is my first real kayak and I was torn between a sit in or a sit on option and then I found this! Super unique design and I ’ m very impressed with the quality of the product. I feel like I ’ ll have it forever. If you are thinking of using a kayak on bumpy choppy waters or just lounge on a lake it works for both. My favorite feature is the skipper plugs which allow you to drain the kayak while you are in it!

I really like that I have options to choose from a sit in to sit on top. Transitioning between the two was really easy and I could do by myself. It handled really well in the water better than my other sit on top kayaks. It balances really nicely so if you ’ re not sure of your skills you will be comfortable giving kayaking a try on this. It did take 2 of us to move it. I ’ m sure a taller stronger person would have no trouble. I am 5 ’ 4 ” and used the foot rest at the very top, so there is definitely plenty of room for a taller person. But it also was a nice fit for me. The sit in top does have a lip so you could put a skirt on it, but I wouldn ’ t as there ’s is nothing on the side connection that would stop water from coming in like a rubber seal. For the small details it has a curve in the top side and strap for your paddle holder. A small cubby you could put your phone and stuff in with easy access and it ’s not on the floor. There is a lay down cup holder, which held my drink but I didn ’ t like as my bottle got wet. And sometimes I have a drink that the lid is open so I would have nowhere to put it. All together though this is a great option if you want the best of both worlds. I plan on taking this instead of my other kayaks so I can transition and enjoy the best of both!

Wow! What a great idea. Many kayakers want a sit on top for the warmer months of the year, while they might also want a sit inside for the cooler months of the year. Or, they might want a sit inside on a summer day to keep the sun off their legs. The Cabrio 11- does both! It ’s a convertible! Pull it ’s top off for an open air sit on top experience, or put it ’s top on for a sit inside experience. It ’s your choice! My favorite feature is the little cubby hole storage area for my phone that is in easy reach just under the sit inside cover, really cool idea! More time to fish
I had an old aluminum canoe that had been a great fishing canoe, but at 86 pounds I could no longer handle it. The Pelican Catch Classic 100 weighs only 58 pounds and slides easily on and off my truck. Plus, I 've already caught a lot of fish. I use a seat cushion that adds about 3 inches to the chair of the kayak and puts me up a bit higher. The kayak is great for about 2- 2. 5 hours of fishing. I have n't had it out in much wind yet, but it handles pretty well.

This is the second boat I have purchased after buying one last year for my son. The boat is highly rated and did a lot of homework before buying. We use this to fish back bay fishing and crabbing. It's a great stable boat and you get a lot for the price point. It's also easy to load since it's only 10 feet long making it a lot lighter than larger boats.

I bought a 8ft lifetime kayak for my daughters birthday( larger one, she grew out of her lifetime kid kayak) and only a display kayak was available, except a hook plug was missing for attaching the seat( water was getting into the inner kayak)..
