I do purchase an insole from a local shoe store for my plantar fasciitis which I have to use in all my lace up shoes. I have not found another shoe that fils my foot as well as this one for work and would recommend it to anyone who does similar work. I run around a lot with my job and turn many blind corners. So the lace up style of the shoe is better than kitchen rubber clogs. Also I work in a super humid environment on cement floors. So the waterproofing exterior and no slip sole is essential. Worn for 12+ hour days with almost no break in period and they never hurt my feet. Very comfortable and breathable for being waterproof and steel toed. Most important- the steel toe did its job, protecting my foot when it could 've been crushed by a literal ton of weight. Extremely satisfied by and thankful for these boots.

I ordered Oxford dress shoes I saw my order confirmed for Oxford PTC. I liked how the PTC looked so I did not complain about it. When I get new shoe I usually have to buy a thicker foam insoles. I had to do that with this pair of shoes as well. I like how well I can walk all day in these shoes. Usually I buy hard toe shoes, but I am experimenting with the bumper toe. I already slammed my toes into a cart wheel, the bumper toe protected my toes, no pain. I am a nurse, moving fast, making turns. These shoes stay on and perform very well.

The shoes are well made and I can already tell they will be very durable in a greasy, dirty environment.( Transmission mechanic). The oil resistant does have a more open tread pattern so they wo n't collect the oil and dirt and cake up with it. However, these are not what I would call comfortable. The leather on the upper is very stiff and hard on your feet, the insoles are kind of hard. They are getting better as I break them in, but still not great. I 'm not sure I would buy a second pair after this one.

I bought my first pair of Targhee II mid boots in 2012, and have bought at least 4 more pair over the years. These just fit my feet so well. When the Targhee III came out I tried them, but Keen had changed the last and they did n't agree with my feet. I was so thankful that Keen kept the II version. Although, color choices were no longer updated each year. When I saw the Leave no Trace collaboration color I had to have them. These are the most comfortable Targhee IIs I 've had. The cushion and arch support are great for my feet as I do n't need a high, hard arch. The boot collar is soft and molded to my ankle in short order. The tongue is padded, yet soft and pliable- not stiff and irritating. I 'm seriously thinking about ordering another pair!
