These things saved my knees more than a few times this week during figure skating camp. In one incident I tried to avoid a skater who tried to avoid me by going the same direction. I went down on my knees full force with her in my arms without feeling a thing and was able to keep her back and head off the ice at the same time. on another occasion I went down on my knees after catching my toe pick on a corner, bounced, and slid the rest of the way on my butt. Hightly recommended for figure skaters.

I was looking for a really low profile knee pad for street skateboarding( mostly at concrete and wood skateparks with a street layout). These things are amazing. Very low profile( they fit right under your pants or shirt) and they really take the sting out of a fall. The best thing is that you do n't even notice you have them on( they do n't restrict mobility at all). I took a knee right to the pavement at one point in a way that would have taken me out of commission for a few days in the past and I did n't feel a thing.( I was a little sore the next day, but as I said the kind of fall I had would normally have been a much more serious injury). For the usual bumps and falls, these things really do the job( especially when the board knocks your knees or you fall on an elbow doing a trick). A word of advice for McDavid: I think there is a really big untapped market for you guys in skateboarding.

Bought this set as a replacement for my son ’s tball set, which was also an All- Star set. Our set arrived and my 11 year old noticed a discoloration on the helmet. I reached out to customer service, they responded immediately and provided an upgraded replacement. We weren ’ t sure about the upgraded helmet, the color didn ’ t match the original set( was an off white compared to the bright white) and the interior padding is definitely upgraded( and removable for cleaning or replacement), but covered the air vents at the top of the helmet and if you remove that padding Velcro is exposed. Reached out to customer service again, they responded immediately and offered to send another replacement helmet, this time the be that came with the set. By this time my son had already worn the upgraded helmet during a game and decided to keep it. But I really appreciated their prompt responses and professionalism. Aside from the discoloration on the original helmet, we had no other issues and I LOVE the better chest protector that comes with this set vs the t ball set( these 11U pitchers throw hard) and the leg guards are great too.

LL Minor A Catchers Gear
This gear was great for my 9 year old son and protects almost everything needed at his level. The only thing tha was missing that would have made it better was the Throat Guard( Same Color if possible). At his level, which is Minor A division, Throat Guards are required, so he wasn ’ t able to wear the mask right away until I ordered a throat guard for it. Which was hard to find that would match the color. The closest one I found that did not have the other brand ’s logo( to not make it obvious that it wasn ’ t the same brand) was from a brand called Champ Sports I believe on another website because All Star ’s website was sold out of the matching color. The color is supposed to be the same( Royal Blue/ Dodger Blue) but instead it is like a lighter blue, but from far away you can ’ t really tell.

Bought two years ago and very happy with the gear. Daughter was too big for the small and the medium chest protector and shin guards were perfect. The helmet was a large and was a little big but adjusted well, plus she hit that growth spurt at 12 1/2 which took up the slack. Jen Schro gear it tops in quality and protection. My wife said, make sure my daughter is protected so we did our research and asked around with coaches and catchers from the tourneys. We visited. Many rave about Jens gear. My daughter has taken several foul balls to the face and a bat tip to the side of the helmet, and it didn ’ t phase her. We pulled her and checked for confusion and nothing.
