[ Received the bottle and inserted the carbon filter and then ran tap water through it. Then, I used this product to filter water at a stream on a hike, and the flow was great and the product is so easy to use. I just strapped the bottle on my pack and could easily get to it to fill up and drink cold fresh water. It cleans easily and the filter worked great. This product can be used by a beginner or an expert. I 've been using BeFree for years and I think what I really like about this new bottle is that it fits on the side pocket of pack as well as in the attachment I use on my front strap.

[ Over the last couple weeks I tested this bottle while hiking. It's incredibly lightweight and easy to use. Placing the carbon filter was easy, just have to be cautious to not damage the fibers. Using on the trail was no issue. Simply pull from flowing water, put the lid on, and drink! I did n't notice any unusual tastes through the filter. Cleaning the bottle after a hike is quick. [ I was genuinely impressed by how fast this filter flows, significantly better than other filters I ’ ve used in the past. Straight forward to use and clean. The bottle itself is slightly softer than a standard cycling bottle, which makes it easy to squeeze and noticeably boosts water output up to 2L/min when you need it. One important consideration: the filter components are sensitive to freezing and can be damaged if they freeze, so extra care is required in cold environments to prevent freezing. Beyond the sensitivity to freezing, I don ’ t question it ’s durability and ability to hold up in typical outdoor activities. Overall, this is an excellent option to keep on your mountain bike or in a backpack when heading into the backcountry. It offers the convenience of refilling from nearby water sources without sacrificing flow rate or usability. It is too big to fit in a running vest front pocket, but thankfully Katadyn makes filtration bottles that do! Katadyn Group gave me this free product to try.

[ I know this isn ’ t the 1st water filter bottle that can fit into a bikes water bottle mount but it ’s the first one I ’ ve used and I ’ ll tell you about what I love about it. The first is that it uses the same method to install the carbon filter to the nozzle as other Katadyn products. This method does not increase the size footprint of the product. I like my LifeStraw but to add the carbon filter you have to attach another filter to the original which almost doubles the size of it. Second thing is right out of the box there is no chemical taste from a new filter. Other brands require some filtering first to get the taste out. As a bikepacker I can see myself carrying multiple of these for long trips. I did some testing to see if this would work on other brand bottles and the thread pitch is different between brands so you have to use it only with the Katadyn bottle. The only thing I can think that would make this better would make an insulated version of it to keep it cooler on hot days. Highly recommended. Katadyn Group gave me this free product to try. [ This bottle is excellent. Fill the bottle, put a filter puck in the screw on cap, and drink; it does not get any simpler. I went on a few multiday trips with this bottle in stow, and I have yet to find a bottle more packable. A few inches is all you need as far as space goes. Basically, it take about as much space as a tennis ball and it's very lightweight. I was worried that it might be a little tough to clean, but that's not the case. I have narrow bottle brushes to scrub if need be, but honestly fill it with soap and water when you get home, shake it out, and hang it upside down.

[ I ’ ve used it to filter well water in the desert, trail runs in the mountains, and fly fishing in the creek. It ’s compact enough for easy storage but has enough volume so that you could use it as your only bottle. The flow is decent and the cap is secure even knocking around rocks. This little thing just works. I haven ’ t had to clean it yet but the directions seem very simple. Highly recommend for any trip where you need to filter water!

[ I have tried just about every ultralight water filtration system on the market and been repeatedly impressed by the BeFree's flow rate. The BeFree AC seems even faster than the original model, filling up my one- liter water bottle within seconds. After receiving this system in the mail, I tested it on multiple dayhikes and trail runs. It held up well, and the collapsible bottle made it exceedingly easy to pack. I usually stuffed it into the mesh front pocket of my backpack so I would have easy access to it when I came across a stream. I filtered probably a few dozen liters and saw no decline in the flow rate. The bottle's large mouth opening makes filling up a breeze. Throw on the filter cartridge and cap and you can drink straight from the bottle or filter water into another container. Simply put, this filtration system is very quick and easy to use. Because I saw no decline in flow rate, I had no reason to clean the filter cartridge in the field, but I know that this is also easy. All you have to do is fill the bottle with clean water, put on the filter cartridge and cap, and shake. I know from using the original BeFree that this method works to restore the flow when gunk from water sources clogs up the filter on long backpacking trips. This method is much easier than filters that require backflushing. The BeFree AC is also slightly sleeker than the original version, which makes it easier to keep the filter in your pocket during the winter so it does n't freeze. I have several long backpacking trips and mountain climbs scheduled this year, and I will be taking the BeFree AC as my primary water filtration system. Katadyn Group gave me this free product to try.

[ I have always been skeptical of soft or flexy bottles because they don ’ t seem very durable, but this bottle exceeded my expectations! I accidentally stepped on it and it was totally fine. The flexible bottle made it super packable, as it is about the size of my fist when empty. There is also a loop when you can attach a carabiner to it, which is nice because it makes it easily accessible being that the soft bottle might be hard to get into a side pocket on a pack when the pack is full. It was also very easy to use because there aren ’ t many components. One you put it together you just have to run a liter of water through it to prep the bottle, and then you ’ re good to go. When filtering out the first liter it looks like the flow rate is super slow, but it ’s perfect when you ’ re actually drinking from the bottle. I used this bottle while hiking and camping at Table Rock State Park. The creek water had some silt in it as the area had just experienced some wildfires, but the water filtered through clear and tasted great. Finally cleaning the little was super simple too. You either shake the bottle or swish the filter in clean water, and you ’ re set. A deep clean consists of running a bleach/water solution through the filter. Overall I am super happy with this product and will definitely be taking it on all of my hiking/backpacking trips! Katadyn Group gave me this free product to try.

[ As a life long, card- carrying member of the reusable water bottle club, I 've gone through and used my share of water bottles: plastic and stainless steel, pop tops and screw tops, wide mouth and slim. I really did not expect to be wowed by this bottle. I do n't really care what brand things are as long as they work, so being a Stanley did nothing to assuage my skepticism. But after using this continually for a few weeks I have to say it's the nicest water bottle I own, has been extremely durable, and has surprised me with it's ease of use. I did not think I would care much about how the body of the bottle can screw apart since I do n't actually like super cold water and never use ice. HOWEVER I do live in Texas and do n't appreciate my water turning to molten hot lava if I leave it the car for ten minutes, so insulation is an important factor to me in that sense, and this bottle held up nicely, keeping my water at a cool temp. The thing for me that was so nice about having the body of this bottle screw apart was the ease of cleaning. I love a good screw top bottle, but often it begins to taste swampy after awhile because I ca n't seem to get it clean enough. This one I unscrew, put the three parts in the dishwasher, and never need to think about if a bottle brush will fit through the neck. That brings me to the other thing I love about this bottle: the slim neck and small mouth. Most screw top bottles ca n't have this petite of a mouth and neck in order to accommodate cleaning, and so they end up having a mouth that is slightly too big and the water sloshes out around your mouth as you drink. This spout has an ergonomic curve that fits your lips as you drink, and it's small enough that I could take a drink while driving down a bumpy road without getting water running down my neck. Miraculous! This little mouth would make filling the bottle a pain if it did n't have the secondary opening. But opening it at the shoulder to fill instead of at the top is a game changer. I took this bottle to a waterpark and filled it at one of those bottle refill stations that activates via sensor. It was so much easier to get the bottle in front of the sensor and aim the water into the vessel at the same time with the wide opening. The only sort of funny thing to happen with this bottle was at said waterpark where an attendant wanted to check it-- he thought it was some sort of fancy alcohol bottle. But as soon as he saw the brand he waived me on. Made me chuckle. Overall, this bottle is great. Neither seam leaks. It's easy to fill. It's a dream to clean. It's a pleasure to drink from. 10/10! I was given this water bottle to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

I mainly use water bottles like this for when I go out or to put next to my bed at night and it did not disappoint! First off, I wanted to say how much I LOVED the color of this bottle. It doesn ’ t show as well in pictures but it ’s a light baby pink( almost whitish). Very feminine and fun. My daughter wanted to take it from me because of the color alone. I loved how slim it is because a lot of other bottles are too thick and don ’ t fit in the sides of my baby bag but this one fit perfectly! I also really loved the two openings, one for drinking and one to add ice( although I will admit I don ’ t use ice as much as some other people might). I add cold water before bed and it stays cold all night even without the added ice. It also hasn ’ t leaked since I ’ ve been using it which is a major plus because there ’s nothing worse than cleaning up after a spilled drink in your bag. The one thing I didn ’ t really like was the fact that I dropped it once on my home floor and it scratched on the bottom. I definitely didn ’ t expect it to scratch so soon after receiving it. This simple water bottle is excellent for daily use. Note that it is NOT insulated and works best if you don ’ t plan on trying to keep your drink cold for long periods. It will “ sweat ” depending on the liquid temperature. I use it if I need to have some water for a quick trip of errands, but also works well when I need to mix some simple, powdered supplements. The wide opening and cap are rubberized and easy to grip, remove, and replace. The only thing I think would make this bottle better is if the cap was an attached flip cap rather than the tether, which is a little awkward, so I removed it. The transparent blue is great for giving it some style and visibility to see how much liquid you have. This bottle is consistent with Yeti's quality and durability.

I loved my original Stanley Stanley IceFlow Flip Straw Tumbler... 30oz the one with the bottom that is small/then gets large on top. The btl started to leak just a little so I went in serach of a new water btl. Thought I 'd upgrade to this newer Stanley flip straw and I liked I could get a 36oz. Well this btl has been truly leak proof. Feels a tad lighter than the older version. For sure it's way easier to sip out of with less effort. Not sure I NEED this but when you close the straw on the lid.. it clicks into place. I suppose that's good as you know it's locked, but takes a tad more effort to close one handed esp in a car. NO, overall I do n't think this will fit in most cup holders. An easy fix is that big on- line store that starts with Am... sells these car cup holder expanders.... mine works well I can fit ANY size btl in a tiny Honda now. A shout out to Dick's as they have an AMAZING large selection of water btls... many brands. My one negative is they had SO many Stanley btls they are about 4 deep on the shelf. I spent a LOT of time trying to find MY btl, which had to have no teeny dents or scratches. I 'd suggest Dick's gives more rooom for these btls on display, if you do n't want one that already has some MINOR imperfections having been squooshed up against other btls. Anyway Love this Stanley btl!. It's a bit tall but that's fine.. seems to keep water cold as it should and love the handle and color!!
