I tested it out by taking a few slow pitches to the guard on purpose and it definitely works! I was quite impressed with how much it deadened the impact. I also loved the packaging this came in. It was shiny and just looked super rad. Definitely an eye catcher. I also like the shiny logo on the guard itself.
