I have already used it for some tree climbing using a Petzl Zigzag combined with knee and foot ascenders and it did the job admirably for its price point( i. e. I 'm sure the SRT Harness would be more comfortable for hanging by a rope all day, for limiting hanging this harness was comfortable and secure enough and at less than half the price). [ I have had this for a couple months. Wearing it is comfortable, and the gear loops work well. I really like having two belay loops too. It is uncomfortable to hang in for long periods of time, and because part of the waist band is not stitched to the tightening strap, it can be a little annoying to get on just right. For trad climbing or multipitching without hanging belays, it's great. It just wo n't replace a sport climbing harness.

[ I really like my Metolius Harness and that basically everything on this harness is a hard point. The waist buckle is an update from their old double back buckles( they are still on the leg loops which make adjustment a little tenuous) which is bomber. Contrary to many waist buckles, this one latches down on the nylon strap when it is tightened inhibiting any accidental openings of the waist strap. I think this is an improvement in speed of putting on the harness over the old double back buckles that you had to feed through each for adjustment. The foam padding is concentrated which could make long hanging belays a little uncomfortable.

[ I 've been using this to sport climb indoors for the past few weeks, and it's been excellent so far. Incredibly lightweight and low profile, and surprisingly comfortable. It feels like you 're not even wearing a harness. It fits on the smaller size, so I went one size up from my momentum harness, and it fits perfect. The gear loops are pretty thin, so I 'm not sure if I would lead outdoors in this unless the draws were already set. Overall, an excellent purchase!

This is a great ultralight harness& super versatile and comfortable( for what it is). Excellent functionality and some of the best racking on this type of harness. Super light and compact too. I prefer this to the Petzl Fly. That said- the sizing is off. I 'm a 32 '' waist and based on Mammut's sizing chart I should be a comfortable medium. In reality I barley squeeze into the medium's hip belt. I have thick legs and the legs are fine though. Overall, I 'd highly recommend this harness, with the caviot that folks should try it on in- store. Hopeful that Mammut can address the sizing issue, but likely plan to size up on this harness. Would be 5 stars, but for the sizing issue.

I love that this harness has indication of when it is too worn to continue use. While this is not a guarantee it is so nice to have piece of mind that you have a indicator just in case. I love the 4 way adjusting and the gear loops are great as well. Great for a intermediate climber and works great in canyons as well. look at the sizing I wish I had gone a size smaller. This harness has a really wide range of adjustability. I 'm a size 32 waist and ordered the M- XL. My waist is on the smaller side of the recommended range for this size, but it still feels very secure. The leg loops have a wide range of adjustability too. This adjustability really comes in handy when you want to add an extra layer of clothing for cold weather. It's a solid all around harness- I mainly use it for sport climbing and it works great. It's very breathable and comfortable as well.

I 'm 5'10 '' and about 250, and the XL fit with room to spare, but the legs did n't have much more room to grow. I love the accessory hooks and elastic components that add a lot of comfort. I also appreciate that they built in material alerts if things are fraying or wearing out. I know that the white will get dirty, but it looks great, is built well, and I really appreciate that it comes with the bag... although it's hard to fit in there after you unfold it.

I have ran through my previous orphir 3 slide and it is a fantastic overall beginner/intermediate harness. Overall use it for gym and outdoor climbing. I am more into comfort padded climbing harnesses vs lightweight and non adjustable climbing harnesses. The adjustable leg straps and hip are great and can fit me and friends if they borrow the harness. I like the wear stitching being bright red and easy to locate/see is fantastic. I also love the semi hard gear loops they can fit all my quick drawers and climbing gear when outside. Overall would definitely recommend this harness to anyone looking for a comfy great harness.

I 've been using the ophir 3 for 5 years and have had zero complaints about it. although I do n't get to climb as often as I used to, it still is very comfortable and sturdy and I have no concerns going on a climb. So I finally was able to use the harness due to the gym being closed, but the waist portion is a great material and doesn ’ t feel uncomfortable. The attachment loop for the d ring in the front is solid and I feel safe when climbing. The only complaint I have is the leg straps hurt when being belayed. I 'm 5'10 '' and about 250, and the XL fit with room to spare, but the legs did n't have much more room to grow. I love the accessory hooks and elastic components that add a lot of comfort. I also appreciate that they built in material alerts if things are fraying or wearing out. I know that the white will get dirty, but it looks great, is built well, and I really appreciate that it comes with the bag... although it's hard to fit in there after you unfold it.

I have ran through my previous orphir 3 slide and it is a fantastic overall beginner/intermediate harness. Overall use it for gym and outdoor climbing. I am more into comfort padded climbing harnesses vs lightweight and non adjustable climbing harnesses. The adjustable leg straps and hip are great and can fit me and friends if they borrow the harness. I like the wear stitching being bright red and easy to locate/see is fantastic. I also love the semi hard gear loops they can fit all my quick drawers and climbing gear when outside. Overall would definitely recommend this harness to anyone looking for a comfy great harness.

I 've been using the ophir 3 for 5 years and have had zero complaints about it. although I do n't get to climb as often as I used to, it still is very comfortable and sturdy and I have no concerns going on a climb. So I finally was able to use the harness due to the gym being closed, but the waist portion is a great material and doesn ’ t feel uncomfortable. The attachment loop for the d ring in the front is solid and I feel safe when climbing. The only complaint I have is the leg straps hurt when being belayed. I bought this harness back in 2018 prior to going ice climbing for the first time, I have n't found one I like nearly as much since. For a lightweight harness; it's well padded, durable, packs super small, has all the gear loops I need and I LOVE the fifth gear loop. When I 'm trad or multi- pitch climbing I really appreciated that added organization. Detachable leg loops are also another thing I like about this harness, as I see a lot of lighter weight harnesses relying on elastic non- adjustable. The detachable feature gives more options for bathroom use and layering more comfortably when on longer/alpine style routes.

This is my favorite harness that I ’ ve ever owned. The reason why is because it ’s so light and compact, I never question whether or not I want to have a harness with me. I just toss it in the pack, and it disappears. When I need it, I ’ ve got it. I love how it can disappear under the hipbelt of a pack. Something that frequently irritates me with other harnesses while climbing and skiing. The packbelt, and harness are fighting for the same space and the pack ends up losing and riding up on my torso. When I ’ m not wearing a pack with a big belt, this harness has nice, but minimal gear loops that can hold my crevasse rescue, rappel, and other climbing gear( as long as I keep it to a minimum or rack in trees off of my carabiners.) [ I wanted my new harness to have a waist and leg loops that could be opened completely so I can put it on when wearing crampons, skis, or do n't feel like standing on one foot while putting it on. I was pleased that the gear lops and the ice clippers I added are lined up evenly on both sides when the waist is adjusted.( I have a 32 inch waist and got the large harness because the leg loop size matched my leg measurements.) This harness gives me the comfort of taking big whips and light on my hips. Used the Ophir Slide 3 for years and just found a new upgrade. The hard draw loops are way nice for single pitch sport outdoors as I do n't have to worry about my draws flying all over the place. [ We bought this harness in an XS for our puppy when we first got her and she was only 15lbs. It fit her until she hit about 45lbs and then was at its max size and getting a little snug, so we upgraded to the size M, which now fits her comfortably and should fit her for the rest of her life since she's almost done growing. These harnesses are durable and even though they say to hand wash, I threw the old one in the wash on delicate cycle and hung it to dry and it was fine.

[ I love this harness. My dog backed out of her old harness and I wanted something that felt more secure. This extra belly straps on this harness make it so she ca n't back out of the harness. It is also very lightweight which is an added bonus. I got it in the blueish/teal color, and I wish I would have gone with a darker color that did n't show the dirt so much. The only thing that I would change is the front leash attachment is not metal and it makes me concerned that it is n't as secure.

[ This is a very comfortable harness with a good set of features. The front gear loops do a good job at feeding quickdraws as you climb, and the rear ones feel comfortable with a backpack on and reduce the weight without reducing functionality too much. The split webbing seems to split into 2 sections in the leg loops and waistband, which distributes load a bit worse than the 3 section webbing you sometimes see, but allows for better breathability, and it contours over bony parts of my body better. It's not necessarily less comfortable than 3 section webbing, it's just a different feel. Compared to my black diamond harnesses, the buckle is smoother and there's a higher degree of waistband adjustability.

[ A friend of mine had a misty mountain harness and always raved of how great it was. My cheap petzl harness was almost falling apart from the chimneys and crystalline granite I had made it subject to, so I decided to upgrade. The Cadillac is great, definitely comfy enough for all day climbing and makes the hanging belay while my partner flails on that 5. 8 offwidth so much more survivable. I also don ’ t mind the extra weight versus some other harnesses, it still feels sleek and works great for hard cracks in the creek.

[ Misty Mountain makes some of the best climbing gear around. I love that it ’s made in the U. S. This is my second Misty Mountain Cadillac, and I ’ m not sure I ’ ll ever use a harness from another company. Do yourself a favor, get one!

[ I purchased the this a couple months ago, and it has been great! I have had no problems with it whatsoever. I was a little worried about the part where the harness connects to the rope, but it has seemed stable ever since it arrived.

[ My family goes climbing indoors quite often. Both of my daughters outgrew our child size harness that they were sharing and I was looking for a new one. This is on the smallest setting for both of them so they will have a lot of time with it. I know it will get used often and have no concerns about their safety on the wall.

[ I used this harness outdoor climbing and have no complaints with it. Everything worked great, and it was comfortable when I had to take breaks from climbing. The gear loops are places well for accessibility as well.

[ This is my second Camp Energy as the first one which I 've had for about 8 years was starting to get a bit ratty. It is very adjustable, super comfy,( I just hung in mine for about an hour photographing some friends), feather- light and has all the features you would ever need for sport and trad climbing. It does not have ice clipper slots and only has 4 gear loops but easily holds a large rack of cams and a dozen draws. Do not be fooled by the low price. This is a first rate harness.
