This is my son's first year in football and his original guard just did n't seem comfortable. We followed the directions as best as we could and my son could n't be happier and he says it's really comfortable. He is able to leave the guard in his mouth for his entire practice and does n't complain. The only issue is getting a child to understand how to hold the guard in their mouth for fitting it. This guard fits tighter than the regular braces mouthguard. You have to boil it like a non braces mouthguard when you first get it and you have to boil it again after your teeth move and you feel like it does n't fit right. I like it better than the regular braces mouthguard even though its more work. It does n't move as much when its in because your teeth and braces are kind of stuck up in it so its easier to talk too.
