Ironic that Dick's asked me to review this today since today was its first real test. I 've been using it for a few weeks for Jiu Jitsu and it does make breathing easier. It feels so light that I 've been nervous about the durability. Today I caught a knee right in the center of my mouth. It was enough to give me some fat lips and drew a little blood, but the mouthpiece held up good. Thankful to say, my grill is still fully intact.

Happened to my first one; went to the gym after BJJ practice and I kept the case connected to my water bottle but somewhere along the way the mouthguard fell out without me knowing. Bought another one in a brighter color and now I keep it in my bag; no problems since. The mouthguard itself fits great. Might take a few tries fitting to your mouth, but with patience and some retries you 'll get it. I use it primarily for Brazilian jiujitsu. Offers excellent breathability, the ability to talk well, and sufficient protection for my particular hobby.

This is my son's first year in football and his original guard just did n't seem comfortable. We followed the directions as best as we could and my son could n't be happier and he says it's really comfortable. He is able to leave the guard in his mouth for his entire practice and does n't complain. The only issue is getting a child to understand how to hold the guard in their mouth for fitting it. You have to make sure you understand how to do it or you both will be stressed

This mouthguard fits over your braces good and you do n't have to boil it. It does n't cause mouth pain but if you are sore then any guard might make it worse. This one is soft and it did n't give me any trouble. If it pushed the hooks in then there is something wrong with your braces.
