You have to boil it like a non braces mouthguard when you first get it and you have to boil it again after your teeth move and you feel like it does n't fit right. This is our second Shock Doctor adult mouthguard for upper braces. My 15 year old son who plays soccer and wrestles feels like it is secure and protects his teeth.
