Very well made slacks with soft 2. 5 inch elastic band that hugs my waist nicely. Surprised to find that the zipper is fake but with the elastic waist they slide down easily after undoing the clasps. The two clasps make the waistband lay nicely. The legs are roomy but not huge. The fabric is a bit stretchy and allow for bending and squatting with comfort. I usually wear an 8 and ordered a Medium. They were big and I believe a small would fit well. The attention to detail and finishing makes these slacks stunning enough to dress up but are comfortable and durable enough to do anything else in them.

I like the way these pants fit with the taper. They can be dressed up for casual or be worn as activewear depending on what you wear with them. They are the only plain and simple jogger- style black pants I have found in women's sizing for officiating. They are n't baggy. They are tapered but without a cuff or notch so the bottom looks clean. They have regular front and back pockets with no extra seams or decoration. They have no belt loops and the waist tie can be inside and unseen. I 'm 5'6 and the length works for me because they are meant to be a little shorter so they are n't bunching at the bottom like some pants are for me. I bought 2 pair because it was so hard to find a basic pant like this. I hope they hold up after multiple washings, So far it has been fine. I wish they were a little cheaper or went on sale, but as much as I have worn them, I felt it was worth it.

I like that the patch pockets are actually usable and unlike sailor style they stay neutral by skipping the button. Like we ’ re part of the law the stitching is high quality and I haven ’ t seen a thread loose anywhere. The weight of the pants reflects that these last and the cuff is nice to dress down or up with heels or flip flops. This wash in particular lends itself to multiple occasions the same day( some of the lighter washes are definitely more weekend or casual day). The shaping/silhouette of the waist to hip prevents the back gap. I would suggest sizing down bc they can get a little loose in the bum after a days ’s wear but they snap back well in the dryer.

I 'm 5'4 '' and the regular inseam just barely skims the top of my shoes. Still give off a semi- cropped feel, but it's more like a 7/8 legging than a cropped. Fabric is a medium weight. I do n't think I 'd wear them on a hot day, but great for regular, everyday wear.

I bought my usual pants size at other brands, a 14L, because I felt like the rise just hit a little bit better than in the 14R. They hit right at my ankle bone. I normally do n't fit into Columbia pants( the hip/butt area is usually too tight), but I took a chance on these and am so glad I did!! This is by far my favorite fit they 've made. These pants are stretchy and so soft. I lean towards natural fibers, so the cotton blend was a big draw. A few design highlights- the pockets do n't flare out because of a nifty little triangle of fabric at the base of the pocket opening that helps it lay flat. The front pockets are also nice and big. The waist hits at the perfect spot and does n't gap in the back- a HUGE win for ladies everywhere. I 've only worn these pants to work so far, but I can definitely see myself taking them on an outdoor adventure when it gets cooler.
