This bat pre break in is even better than the last generation. If you look back at the Cat9 Comp.( red and black) it was the hottest Marucci for a while. Much more explosive than the last CatX version!

Bought this for my son- the ball really pops off the bat... much harder than his regular USA bat. It's also very nicely balanced too.

Bought this for my 6 year old son. Right out of the wrapper the bat has some pop to it. I can only imagine after he plays with it more and it gets broken in how much further he will hit.

I bought this bat for my 6 year old grandson. He absolutely loves this bat. He went to ball practice and I took the wrapper off at the ball field. They practiced on a high school baseball field that day. The first ball to ever touch that bat was a line drive that went all the way to the center field fence. I couldn ’ t believe it because they say composite bats have to be broken in and so many balls hit off it. Since that day he has been crushing the ball. Great bat and when he outgrows this bat I will be getting this bat in a size up! So far so good with it and no complaints whatsoever as of now!

My son saved all of his birthday money to buy this bat and he loves it. He hits 'nukes' with it. It's a bit heavier, he's used to- 10 and this is- 8, but it's made him stronger. He tried a few other brands in- store but this was the one he liked the most. Tapered handle is a plus. He's a 10U player and average size for his age. This bat will hopefully last a few years!

We purchased this bat for my son to use in colder weather. In warmer weather, he uses his Rawlings Icon but in the early season it ’s the Cat X2 Connect. It swings similar to the Icon. He thinks it a bit more balanced than the Icon. They are both 32 ” drop 5 ’s.
Composite baseball bats are designed to provide a larger sweet spot and improved performance, making them ideal for youth players. They often offer better energy transfer upon contact, resulting in increased distance and power. Additionally, composite materials can enhance the bat's overall feel, allowing for better control and swing speed.
Selecting the right length and weight for a USSSA baseball bat is crucial for optimal performance. Generally, players should choose a bat that allows them to swing comfortably while maintaining control. A good rule of thumb is to hold the bat out to the side; if you can hold it for 30 seconds without strain, it’s likely the right weight.
One-piece composite bats are constructed from a single piece of material, providing a stiffer feel and more direct energy transfer. In contrast, two-piece composite bats consist of a separate handle and barrel, allowing for greater flex and a more forgiving swing. The choice between the two often depends on personal preference and swing style.
While composite bats perform well in various conditions, they can be sensitive to extreme temperatures. Cold weather can make the material more brittle, potentially leading to damage. It’s advisable to avoid using composite bats in temperatures below 60°F to maintain their integrity and performance.
The lifespan of a composite baseball bat can vary based on usage and care, but they generally last for one to two seasons with regular play. Factors such as frequency of use, type of hitting surface, and maintenance practices can all influence durability. Players should monitor their bat for signs of wear or damage to ensure optimal performance.
