Love this piece so far. I 'm 6' 4 '', 250lbs and the XL fits me great. I typically need to order XLT shirts but this is sized well for me. Sleeves are good length but would n't have minded another inch. Thumb holes would have been nice. I have to maneuver a little to get it over my chest( 46 inch) but it 's not a problem, just noticeable. The material has a nice stretch to it. Might have a shirt on underneath or nothing under depending on temperature and wind. Love the hood fit with or without a hat. Zipped up the hood stays on well. Zippers work well. I 've washed it several times now and the material and color still look new. Washing on delicate and hang dry. I like it so much I might get another.

This is my favorite everyday light jacket for so many different reasons. First I love how light and effective it is as just a little something to keep the chill away. Secondly it dries so fast it blows my mind, no complaints from me on how quick it dried up when doing some sprinkler repair. It is very comfortable and has a very nice appealing look to it when worn. A cool feature on the women 's version that my wife pointed out is the hole in the hood for a ponytail when running. Will definitely be buying another if this one ever wears out.

This is my favourite Base layer hoodie for day to day and backpacking. There is a nice wide brim on it to shade your face. The fit is relaxed so it never feels uncomfortable. The sleeves are long enough to cover your hands to keep them shaded. The fabric is crazy breathable and dries super fast. The hoody is a bit heavy at 170grams but not having to use a stupid ball cap on my head more than makes up for that.

I ’ ve used this shirt for countless fishing trips and about 2, 800 miles of backpacking. The fit is non- constricting and the material is super breathable. I really like the size of the hood and the fact that it covers your neck. If you wear it with a brimmed hat the hood protects your peripheral from sun as well. After thru hiking the Continental Divide Trail wearing this as my everyday shirt with a backpack on it showed very little wear. Great shirt!

[ I recently bought a bunch of sunblock hoodies and have been wearing this a lot more than the others so far this summer, I love it! I 've been hit with skin cancer on my face twice now so trying to find ways to cover up when I 'm outside that do n't require me to bath in sunblock lotion. For context: I live in Arkansas and it 's been super hot& humid. We 're currently in the upper 90's/lower 100 's with pretty high humidity- dew points in the 70- 75 range most days. For that kind of weather this is the by far the most comfortable of the 3 other sun blocking hoodies I 've tried. This material is very breathable and lightweight like a tech shirt, but it fits loose and does n't show off the finer details of every fat roll I have like a tech shirt. It looks good just wearing it around. The `` activeice '' part is n't entirely obvious like wearing an air conditioner, but I noticed the other day that my exposed legs felt hotter in the sun and took longer to cool off once I got out than my arms/torso so it does seem to actually do something. If you live in a hot climate that is also humid, there is n't a better option I 've found, so just buy this. Most of the others I 've tried use some cotton- like materials that soak up humidity or they are thicker& less breathable and start to get a bit too warm when the temp hits 90 's and the humidity is high. My only complaint is the collar/base of the hood. The closest pic of the hood up on OR 's website you 'll find is a guy reaching back to start to pull it up, so I 'm assuming they already know the hood looks a bit funny, but sharing on the off chance they read this for next years version. I wish the hood had two sections that crossed under the chin or something similar instead of the solid strip. I do appreciate the neck coverage and it looks good when the hood is down, but when the hood is up you look like you 're in one of those face- in- hole photo boards or about to go bee- keeping. Most of my friends are master- level wisecrackers so it will have to be really sunny day before I wear this around them with the hood up. Pro- Tip: It looks better( to me at least) when wearing a hat and pulling the hood over the brim, and gives better sun protection on the sides of your face that way as well. My second minor improvement would be that it could be maybe just one inch longer, I 'm 6'00 '' and 200 lbs. The length is great for the most part but if I 'm reaching straight up it shows a bit of belly. Overall though, this is easily the winner of the bunch I 've tried for the dead heat of summer.

[ The Nike Primary Men 's Dri- FIT UV Full- Zip Versatile Hoodie is just what it says it is; a versatile hoodie. I 've been wearing it in a couple scenarios since I 've gotten it. At the time of writing this, the weather has been a bit all over the place here on the East Coast. One day it 's 90 degrees, the next in the 70s, but this hoodie fits with both for my uses. During my commute, I ride an electric kick scooter and wore this while riding for protection against the sun, and not only did it do well, it kept me much cooler than expected. It 's made of this great, breathable material and even has eyelets in the armpit region to help even more. It 's super comfortable and has a bit of a looser fit( mostly around the arms) which I thought was great with helping regulate temperature. When it dropped to the 70s, this was still the perfect fit to keep myself from getting too chilly during those cooler days and nights. It 's a very simple design featuring a double zipper and everything being all one color, black in my case, with a small Swoosh on the upper left part of the chest which made it very easy to wear and style. It features Nike 's signature Dri- FIT, which is both super soft and comfortable, and is great at sweat/moisture wicking to keep you cool no matter what you 're doing. Lastly, the pockets are super deep and can fit a good amount of length, whether that be a phone, water bottle, or something else. Very hard to find something I 'd want to change because I think this was a very well engineered hoodie!

[ This full- zip hoodie is one of my favorites in my collection. Because it ’s so warm right now, I haven ’ t had an opportunity to wear it outside of my house, but I have worn it at home and it ’s super comfortable. The material has some stretch to it and has a great feel overall. I get cold on flights, and this hoodie is so comfortable it will likely be my new go- to option for traveling. It has a double zipper to allow for some extra room around the waist area if needed, and two side pockets with zipper enclosures to help secure anything that you put in them. I also really appreciate the drawstring on the hood that enables a snugger fit around my head. There are two eyelets under each arm. These combined with the stretch in the material leads me to believe that this hoodie would be great for maintaining a good body temperature during an outdoor workout on a cold day. Also helpful for the outdoor workouts is the UPF 40+ UV protection of the material. I ’ m 6 ’ 2 and about 250 pounds, and the XL fits perfectly. Overall, I ’ m really impressed with the quality and design of this hoodie.

I 've had over a dozen different sun hoodies since they became popular. For Me, this is the best one overall by a wide margin. While some may feel more 'woven', and others more 'plasticy', this one seems to be the best of both worlds providing comfort and protection. It is very soft to the skin, and the material sort of 'hangs' on you without feeling 'clingy'. It has plenty of stretch, but does n't feel like a set of drapes. So far the shirt seems to be retaining it 's shape /size perfectly. Interesting enough, I wore it under a hoodie on a cool damp morning... casting really hard, I got too hot for the hoodie, but was reluctant to take it off. Finally I did due to sweating and was very surprised at how well this shirt regulated my body heat. The sweat evaporated quickly, and the shirt provided a nice light layer of protection from the cool damp air and light south wind. Once the sun came out the shirt really shined. Sleeves are plenty long, and the wrist/ hand coverings are a nice touch in case you forgot sun gloves. The hood is fitted nicely, proving excellent coverage while not being obtrusive. I chose the 'Neptune' color and I like that it is understated and does n't scream 'SUNSHIRT!!! So, everyone loves a good hoodie, and this might be the perfect shoulder season hoodie. It 's been a beautiful spring so far here in the PNW; cold in the mornings, but still kind of chilly in the afternoon. This hoodie is perfect for this weather. It 's nice and warm in the morning, but does n't seem to over heat when the sun hits it. A perfect hoodie for around the fire or those early morning inconvenient coffee bike meetups. The only low point of the hoodie is that it 's sizing is a little on the smaller side. Fit 's a little more like an XL than a XXL Other than that, it might be my new favorite hoodie.

So far I have only used this jacket for spring( alpine) skiing, at which it has been amazing! With temperatures in the low to mid 40s at the top this jacket, along with OR Trailbreaker pants and Gripper gloves, was warm enough, with just enough wind protection for riding the lifts and skiing fast, but breathable enough to prevent me from get sweaty and catching a chill. With temps below that I threw on an ultra- light softshell and was plenty warm.( Note that 1. I run warm when working hard and 2. I wear a hydration pack while skiing, without which it is possible my back would 've been chilly sitting on the lift) And it fits( size S, I am 5' 6 '' 145lbs) perfectly and looks great even just around town. So far one of my favorite items by OR( and I 've got quite a few of them) Looking forward to using this for snowshoeing, cool weather hiking etc.!

This thing rocks. Originally, I purchased this to do winter trail runs in, but have since used it to paddle, ice climb, mountain bike, backpack, and travel. I have found the Deviator to be one of the best if not the best light, active piece for me when it is chilly outside. The front/hood fabric has a good DWR and sheds light wind/rain well, while keeping just the right amount of heat in. I have found that it needs to be under 25F while running to keep myself from sweating, but with the other activities, I find it to be very comfortable in the 30- 45F range( when I am moving), even if it is windy. The zippers are a little fragile, BUT it is meant to be a lightweight piece. I have found that being patient with and keeping the zippers clean and waxed go a long way. I am a Medium/Large and bought a medium, which worked for me well. Overall, I love this piece. While it is not a replacement for a puffy, It retains way more heat than I expected for such a light jacket, especially when moving.

Man, this hoodie slaps. I primarily use it for days when it 's cold but I need to get my miles in whether that be running trails/roads, snow shoeing or whatever else I do in the winter. The back is covered in what seems like waffle insulation which breaths super well so when I get hot, the excess heat has a place to go. It wicks sweat and keeps me feeling dry. The front has wind resistant panels that keeps warmth where it should be, and keeps wind out. It definitely fits snug in the arms so layering with a long sleeve base was a bit challenging considering how snug they are, but they are not too tight. I actually feel like the sleeves had a 1- 2 use break in time because now they seem more roomy and it 's no longer a struggle to get a long sleeve skin tight layer on underneath. That 's my experience, but not really a bad thing considering that putting on another layer over the deviator is that much easier. Please do not buy this piece expecting to hang out in 15 degree weather and to be toasty. This is an active layer that will absolutely keep you warm while you 're on the move. I use it for its intended use, and it produces a 5 star experience.

I absolutely love this hoodie and have ordered more in other colors. I hesitated at first due to the high cost, but this is worth it. The design keeps the wind out but lets your back and arm pit breath while running or wearing a pack. The fit is intentionally slim- fit, as the product can keep you warm that way. Paired with a base layer this keeps me warm in temperatures just below freezing while running or hiking. If it gets cold, I just throw a soft shell over this and it 's perfect. I highly recommend this.

Ok so at first I wasn ’ t sure how I was going to feel about this lineup for the Primary Hoodie because I was a big fan of the fleece version and thought that was near perfect. But with that said this is a perfect light weight hoodie for a workout at the gym or a run. The hoodie has this nice light weight stretchy material. If you were going to wear this just as casual it ’s perfect for warmer days( not hot). I can safely say Nike nailed it again with by adding a new hoodie to the Primary lineup. If Nike continues with the Primary hoodies I hope the keep this and the fleece version and add a Therma Fit style to the Primary rotation.
