As a father i didnt really anticipate my daughters getting kicked below the belt for likely cheauvanistic reasons but it happened and she couldnt continue. My girls take tkd and there was n't a great many groin protectors out there size xxs for little girls but we tried this one and my daughter loves it. Shes 7 and in good shape. 48 '' tall give or take. This was the best price out there as well. The xxs did not fit my 8yo tho. I am returning and getting just an xs for her.

I have n't been hit in the pelvis yet( I 'm sure it's only a matter of time), but the shorts and the pelvic protector both fit well. There's been no binding or riding up, and the protector stays where it needs to be. I 'll be recommending both of these to anyone who needs them. I will note that `` Loose '' is a loose definition.;-) They 're mesh, so they do n't grab as tightly as solid spandex would, which is* fine* on my non- skinny butt. The leg straps help keep the protector from shifting, which is, of course, the primary concern.

After over 10 years of playing baseball, my high school son( catcher) will ONLY wear these cup shorts. Why? because the cup pocket is on the OUTSIDE of the short! Easy to put the cup in or take out after a game, no pinching or pulling if the rubber cup sticks out of the pocket. He's about 6' tall, a thinner frame( not husky), about a 31 '' waist and prefers the medium- they fit him perfectly. Been buying these for years- they are very well made, last for years, great compression, wash well- I highly recommend.
