I bought this a month ago for my G3 Eagle 166 bass boat, I have the trolling motor battery in front, and the crank battery in the aft well. Of course, I had to add an extension line to the aft battery as the cables on the MK210D are only 6 ft. long. After a difficult time running the cables through the hull and various bulkheads, I ended up installing this heavy unit under the steering wheel console. Plugged it in and it recharged my batteries fully in 2 days to a perfect charge level while continuing to trickle charge. The crank battery was old and was actually limiting my power to my Hook7 but I think this charger has reconditioned the battery to work great again! Very pleased with this item and the problems I had installing were my own and not those of the unit. Highly recommend, and maybe get the 10A/bank version... it will be faster.

Works great! I use it to charge my dual purpose AGM battery after fishing. I do n't run the big motor enough to get a good charge, so the MK 105 tops it off overnight. All indicator lights work as advertised. Very pleased so far!

I now own three MK chargers: A 4 bank charger for my saltwater bay boat purchased in 2016, a 2 bank charger for my aluminum freshwater river boat purchased earlier this year and a new, small 1 bank charger for my bait system aeration battery! I have had very good luck with the two other MK chargers so I purchased a third charger, replacing a discount brand when it failed. MK charger quality has been very good. I also own two MK trolling motors. Both of these motors have been excellent, too. My only concern is the battery chargers are manufactured in China. MK should have US based manufacturing.

Background: I ’ ve owned 3 Ulterras from version 1 though the last version before Quest. All of them broke multiple times each. Steering modules and trim belts mostly but also a couple of trim modules. Installed the new Ulterra Quest about3 weeks ago on a Northwest style deep vee aluminum boat with a hardtop. The mount is huge and bow space is limited on this style of boat. Measure carefully before you commit to this motor. Also consider that the motor/mount protrudes very far out from the side of the boat. This iteration of the Ulterra seems to be built a lot tougher than the previous versions. The aluminum chassis looks about 3x thicker and the stow/deploy mechanism looks a lot more robust. The steering torque is many times greater. The holding torque is also greatly enhanced- will hold live image transducer mounted at 90 degrees to the motor in position even at high trolling speed( 5mph for me). The motor itself is much quieter than the previous versions and seems to be stronger- at least it pulls my boat faster- about 4. 5mph vs about 3. 2mph. The remote control is a bit of a disappointment. The display is almost unreadable while wearing sunglasses. The buttons, especially the side buttons are stiff and difficult to press. The remote is not intuitive to me, the combination of keys is cumbersome. I 'm sure I will get accustomed to it over time. Not having to charge it with that silly cable that never stayed connected is its biggest advantage from my point of view so far. Overall, I ’ m satisfied with the new motor. Time will tell if this is truly a more reliable motor and will let MinnKota earn back my trust.
