Easy to use/attach. Stays in place without any rechecking or refastening. Doesn ’ t let in even the smallest rock or other irritant. I put it on at the start of my run and don ’ t think about it again until I ’ m back at my car.

Took me a while to figure out how to put them on. Add great coverage to the ankle area and laces. I have only used them once so far, but it looks like the bottom white strap will probably get torn eventually, all depends on the type of terrain it gets exposed to. I hope Black Diamond made this strap replaceable.

After trying several different brands and having trouble finding gaiters that didn ’ t feel super tight around the calf and that felt durable for even the most rugged trails, I landed on these and will never look back!

I 've tried all the rest, these are the best! I must walk funny or whatever, but I seem to kick up rocks, dirt, sand and everything else into my shoes. They fit perfectly, breath amazingly, and are durable like steel, simply put, they will exceed your expectations! I use them in the winter in snow, in the summer in sand and everything in between. I primarily use them for hiking, backpacking and alpine climbing. Worth every penny you 'll spend, even at retail.

These are great pants but they do run big. My son who I bought them for is 6' 2 '' and weighs 220lb. I ordered the XL and there was ample room, more than any other pants I have seen.
Mountain gaiters are protective garments worn over the lower legs and footwear to keep out debris, snow, and moisture during outdoor activities. They are designed to enhance comfort and protection while hiking, trekking, or climbing in rugged terrain. By creating a barrier, gaiters help prevent dirt, rocks, and water from entering your boots, allowing for a more enjoyable experience.
Mountain gaiters are typically made from durable, water-resistant materials like nylon or polyester, often with added features such as breathable membranes. These materials help ensure that gaiters are lightweight yet tough enough to withstand rough conditions. Some gaiters may also include reinforced areas for added durability in high-wear zones.
Choosing the right size of mountain gaiters involves measuring your calf circumference and the height of your leg to ensure a proper fit. Many gaiters come with adjustable straps or closures to help secure them comfortably around your leg and boot. It's important to select a size that allows for ease of movement while still providing adequate coverage and protection.
Yes, mountain gaiters are versatile and can be used for a variety of outdoor activities, including hiking, backpacking, snowshoeing, and climbing. They are particularly beneficial in environments where you might encounter mud, snow, or rocky terrain. Depending on the design and features, some gaiters are better suited for specific activities, so consider your planned use when selecting a pair.
When selecting mountain gaiters, look for features such as waterproofing, breathability, and adjustable closures for a secure fit. Additional features like reinforced areas for durability, lightweight materials for comfort, and compatibility with different types of footwear can enhance your experience. Consider gaiters with reflective elements for visibility in low-light conditions if you plan to be out at dawn or dusk.
