I work outdoors and walk tens of thousands of steps every day in every possible type of weather. I 've tried boots from several other brands/stores, and finally, after hearing me repeatedly complain about said failed footwear, my brother recommended Merrell. I 've only been wearing them for a few weeks, and while my feet have been delightfully dry( yes, they 're 100% waterproof even in standing water), I 'm wary about whether or not they will last as another brand or two also managed to keep themselves together for a few short months before disintegrating miserably and proving themselves not worth my money. Hiked trails, mountains, roads, rivers, explored tidepools you name it. all around a great shoe. I would recommend pairing these with a good insole if you plan to use them for long periods of time as the bottom of the sole( outside the shoe) is very rigid and durable, but at times the stiffness and hardness can be felt on the bottom of your foot.

I was an 8 on Adirondack Meridian Hiker and have been using it for winter trips and cold weather walks sonI figured I 'm also an 8 for this. 1st feel is it can be a little tight because of the fur lining inside the shoes itself but I realized the trick is the shoe laces bec my heels are already sliding out when I walk with it so meaning I do n't need a half size larger. I will going to use it for going to and from work when I have to walk on pavements from the car on colder days and excited because its goretex.

The waterproofing is great for the slushy winters we get here in the Midwest. I typically wear a 2E shoe, so I was pleasantly surprised when this fit well as a 10. 5M. Took about a week to break in, and once broken in, feels great. The traction is awesome, no worries about slipping on the ice. The shoe makes it easier than a boot to take on and off, but I 'd use a boot to shovel the driveway or walk through heavy/deep snow. This is good for walking on icy roads and driveways. I 'm a big fan of Keen's pragmatic sense of style. The toe cap means I do n't have fear of stubbing my toe. Also, it's a great feature when you kick the tire wells of your car to get the disgusting snow that accumulates that after driving for a while and you wonder if removing this snow actually makes a difference performance wise.( But once it drops it feels satisfying like you actually fixed the car.)

I was really surprised how much I liked these. They were definitely a bit of an investment for me, but I wanted to get a pair of shoes that I could wear a little more often. I have worn these on a few light hikes on gravel with my dogs, two days in downtown chicago, 6 miles each, and i now understand what `` energy return '' means. These shoes give you some extra `` spring '' in the ball mound of your foot and feel really lightweight. I like the lacing system but I think people will overtighten these if they 're not familiar with how to use it. I have n't gotten them dirty yet - I do n't want to! They 're too pretty.

Excellent fit and feel with the padded tongue giving extra stability and more security over the regular Agility Peak. Also love the quick lace slide and the cushion sole. My normal size fit perfectly. I would like more hunter colors and I love a black sole which does n't show dirt like white. Have worn these shoes a little over a month. Primarily for everyday use. The shoe is attractive and looks well built. The lugs on the sole are aggressive making it great for wearing on snow and ice. The shoe also has amble cushioning. They can be worn all day with little foot fatigue. The fit is true to size. I wear a medium width. The down sides are for me a little difficult to get the shoe on. The loops that are used to pull the shoe on are too small making it difficult to slide on without breaking down the backs. Also the bungee shoe strings do n't seem to stay tight. I 'm considering going to laces. A good value for the money.

Overall so far these shoes have been great. The couple times I 've been outside in the rain they 've kept my feet dry. I find that they have a bit of a narrow fit, so I do feel that they 're a bit tight on the sides. However the support in the sole of the shoe is nice and comfortable.

These are my first norvan's and they 're running pretty great out of the box. I 've put quite a few kms on this on some crunchy terrain around Banff and throughout the river valley up in Edmonton. The drop is great and not too aggressive and I find it supportive for the running I do. I 'm normally a 9US, 42EU and I found that I was tossing up between the 8. 5US. I would recommend playing with the sizes as I feel I would n't hit it right on the spot with my normal US 9. What I really like is the sole - it's super grippy on the snow and rough ice - compared to the sole on the vertex alpine last year. It has given me a lot more confidence to do my spring and winter runs this year.

I ’ ve had a few pairs of Norvan shoes in the past that I really liked, but this new update is the best. I unfortunately don ’ t live near much off road terrain and end up using these a lot on pavement, but even for pavement, they ’ re quick, durable, and adapt well to road conditions. They ’ re also pretty grippy in snow and icy conditions. The shoe laces are a bit slick, but there ’s a little pocket on the tongue of the shoe where you can tuck the laces to keep them tied and out of the way. One of the best aspects of these shoes is how washable they are. I have a light pair that I get pretty muddy and they clean right up with a run through the washer.

I ’ ve had two pairs of the previous version of this shoe, and I was absolutely obsessed with them. I honestly thought nothing could compare, but I was wrong. The Norvan 4s are just as comfortable — if not more so — than the 3s. The only slight downside is that they feel a little tighter than the previous version, so I did have to size up, but it ’s a minor issue compared to the overall performance and comfort. Highly recommend!

As soon as I received Merrell's email about these several weeks ago, I was intrigued. I really liked their look and style; plus being waterproof was also a benefit. As soon as I saw that they had gone on Merrell's Holiday discount, I grabbed a pair at a great price. I 've been wearing Moabs for years and they have all been exceptional. I did notice that the footbed under the ball of my foot seemed to be a bit thinner than my other Moabs. However, it might simply be that these Moab 3 Luxe have a more aggressive tread. Either way, after a day or so the footbed cradled to my foot, and I 've been delighted. I still do need to get used to the newer thinner slightly flatter laces, and do wish they were a few inches longer.

This shoe is a reinvention of the Moab Smooth from a few years ago that was probably the best boot made by this company. In this new version there have been some upgrades in terms of styling, but as with the original one of the best features is that it's much more water resistant than the traditional boot with the brushed or `` suede '' style material. None of their boots are truly waterproof but this one probably comes the closest so it's my favorite and I 've bought several pairs already.

The new LD4 is my first Arcteryx shoe and it ’s great. The sock lining makes it fit like a glove. Very light weight. Made for the trails and great traction. I would highly recommend this shoe to anyone looking for a shoe with cushion and traction.

These have been a great addition to the shoe quiver. Toebox feels roomier, and the cushion is just enough for harder - packed gravel and concrete between softer trails. I swapped out the original beds for superfeet to support a high arch( like all of my other shoes) and they work great. I also have a narrow foot, so I make sure to lace them up as tight as I can. The only thing I 've noticed is that the tongue is a lighter, stretchy material, similar to the gaiter on other styles. This feels a bit thick/long on me, but I think it will be totally fine on a more medium - sized foot. Still plenty comfy/adjustable. This is my 2nd pair of Norvans( loved my LD 3's!), so excited to continue to put these to the test!

Having owned and heavily used the LD 2 and LD 3 shoes, I can easily say the LD 4's are my favourite iteration yet. First of all, they were the easiest to break in yet. In the past it's taken weeks to run without sore feet, but these ones were a breeze with very little stiff/soreness. They `` feel '' lighter and more responsive than the prior versions too, and the grip has definitely levelled up. I 've used these on both road and trail so far( plus some very old cobblestone roads while travelling) and I 've enjoyed the feel on all of those. I do n't think I 'd recommend it for consistent longer runs on pavement( for obvious reasons) but have done a few 8 - 10k runs with them and still felt great. Finally it feels like the toe box might be a bit more spacious in this version? I have slight bunions on the outer edges( pinky side) of my feet so the room is a big W for me:)

I 've logged just under 200km in the new Arc'teryx LD4s and have been really impressed with their performance. Based in Squamish, I ’ ve tested them across a variety of terrain, and they ’ ve handled it all exceptionally well. The grip is solid — both on rock slabs and in muddy conditions. Compared to the LD3s, these feel sleeker and more dialed in. My feet feel secure, especially on technical terrain, which has given me a lot of confidence on more demanding routes. My longest run so far in them has been 30km, and I found the cushioning to be nicely balanced, it offers comfort over distance without completely muting ground feel. I ’ d recommend the LD4 as a versatile all - trail shoe that really shines on technical terrain.
