I love Merrell Moab ’s, wear them every day and have 5 pair. But as hot as this summer has been, I wanted a pair of lighter weight shoes. I started with Merrell styles, but had no luck getting a good fit for my problem feet—a neuroma and plantar fasciitis on one foot and a bunion on the other. I also tried styles from all the highly rated shoes for walking, including those with gel insoles. They all bothered my neuroma, and the gels were so bouncy they made me feel a little unsteady on my feet. So I went back to Merrell and tried the speed solo, ordered up a half size, and finally found my fit! The shoes seemed narrow at first, but after wearing them a couple of times, they ’ re as comfortable as my Moab ’s.

I 've had these Leikis for a month now and still love them. I wanted something for urban dog walks that would keep my feet dry in rain and puddles but with enough traction to handle light trails. Perfect for shoulder - season weather when it's wet but not yet cold enough for heavier boots. They 're lightweight and cushy. At the store, I compared these to the Versacore. The Leiki is more snug around the heel and arch, but the toe box is still roomy. The Leiki toe box also has more structure and kept its shape, while the Versacore would crease and press against the top of my toes with each step which I found annoying. I liked the lower heel height of the Versacore, but ended up going with the cushier Leiki which seemed to also have more structure for ankle stability.

This is my forth pair of these shoes. I wear them every day( whether I 'm going hiking or going to work) and they me last 4 - 5 years. I like them because they 're very comfortable and the GORE - TEX keeps my feet dry. They also get a great grip on the trail and protect my feet from all manner of trail hazards. On the negative side, the sole separates from the shoe after a few years. It ’s possible to glue the sole back on, but for what these cost, the soles shouldn ’ t come unglued.

Had the normal one full day break - in period. This is my third pair and I keep coming back for them. They are rugged and durable and last a little over a year when used roughly for hiking, trail running and slogging through the mud. I compete with these a lot because they keep the water out( unless I go in the streams) and they hold up really well. The soles start to get thinner after 1. 5 years but I have n't found any others that hold up any better and still stay together like these Moab 3's.

I wear them as daily shoes and they have excellent traction in all the wet and slick spots that are pretty common this time of year. That being said, the memory foam in insoles of the shoes make these super comfortable on my feet when I ’ m going for walks and little treks around the neighborhood. I want to start by saying that I have been a loyal follower and buyer of Salomon boots for as long as I can remember. For at least the past ten years, I have worn them every single day. I replace my boots annually—not because they wear out or break down, but simply because I love the feel of new boots. In fact, I still have all of my previous pairs, except my very first ones( which I should have kept as well). Each pair continues to serve me in different ways. When I first purchase a new pair, they become my work boots, while the older ones transition into hiking boots, allowing them time to break in naturally. After about six months, I begin using the newer boots for hiking, always carrying an extra pair in my pack in case I need to swap them out—usually due to an issue like water getting inside. Let me emphasize that under normal conditions, these boots do not get wet inside. However, if fully submerged underwater—which I have done on several occasions—they will absorb moisture. When this happens, I hang the wet boot on the outside of my pack to dry while I continue my journey. I can confidently say that Salomon makes outstanding boots. They have been an essential part of my adventures, and I highly recommend them. Great boots, great company, and great experiences with Salomon!

I really like these shoes! I use them for walking around town and some trail walking. I find them to be excellent in terms of support. The sole is hard but has great traction. They protect my foot from the rough terrain without adding 2 ” of padding. That said, because the sole is hard and not thick or really cushioned, these would not be my choice for standing all day. I would definitely buy them again, but only for when I am active.

Have been wearing Targhee xx's for quite a few years. Obviously, they have worked great for me, and now my wife has a pair. I wear them year - around, on snow, ice, wet leaves, steep hillsides.... Good replacement for Vaya
I bought this boot about a month ago to replace a previous model I had from Salomon. It was the closest to the Vaya. Feel is great overall, however the size is about 1/2 size too small. Ordered same size my old pair. That is the only complaint. I was a 6. 5 in the Vaya and believe a 7 in these would have been better. They are super light weight, rugged, super water resistant too

This boot the sizing has changed slightly they are smaller in the toe box. I went with a half size larger but I probably could have stayed with my regular size 10 and just broke them in. They are to me a light version on the quest boots that are much heavier and clunck than these. I 've bought a few different salomon hiking boots over the years and you ca n't go wrong if you are a day hiker with these they are agile and do n't slip dry or wet they get the job done and protect your feet in every situation. Excellent boots for summer to fall hiking that will last.

I ’ ve worn Salomon boots for years. Since they dont have the older model x ultra mid boots. I decided to try these ones out. They look nice and seem to have all the features from the previous model. However, they have an uncomfortable pressure point located on the inside middle part of both boots. Which makes it uncomfortable to wear as soon as you wear them. This is my second pair of Konos TRS shoes and they are just as comfortable as the ones I bought last year. Taupe color is exactly as pictured and fits true to size. I 've walked trails and sidewalks in these shoes and have no foot pain and my feet stay put, no sliding in the shoe and no heel slips. Easy to clean up if they get dirty on a trail. Suggestions: wear ankle socks the first couple wears to break them in, I wore no - shows the first wear and had some uncomfortable rubbing on my achilles till about the 3rd wear.

I gave these as a Christmas gift to my dad. He was so thrilled with them. He loved the firmness of the sole as he is using them on his mountain bike. He has a similar version without the extra black textile on the side but they really stretched out. The black textile seems to help hold the shape of the shoe better than just suede. Width is perfect not too wide.

Last May I put these on to begin a pilgrimage “ walking with a backpack ” from Assisi to Rome. I choose the men ’s style( on sale and perfect for my wide feet and I went down a size. I didn ’ t even break them in and walked over 250 kms and not an issue. I just replaced the shoe with the same pair as I plan to walk from Florence to Assisi with a backpack in September.
