I love Merrell Moab ’s, wear them every day and have 5 pair. But as hot as this summer has been, I wanted a pair of lighter weight shoes. I started with Merrell styles, but had no luck getting a good fit for my problem feet—a neuroma and plantar fasciitis on one foot and a bunion on the other. I also tried styles from all the highly rated shoes for walking, including those with gel insoles. They all bothered my neuroma, and the gels were so bouncy they made me feel a little unsteady on my feet. So I went back to Merrell and tried the speed solo, ordered up a half size, and finally found my fit! The shoes seemed narrow at first, but after wearing them a couple of times, they ’ re as comfortable as my Moab ’s.

I 've had these Leikis for a month now and still love them. I wanted something for urban dog walks that would keep my feet dry in rain and puddles but with enough traction to handle light trails. Perfect for shoulder- season weather when it's wet but not yet cold enough for heavier boots. They 're lightweight and cushy. At the store, I compared these to the Versacore. The Leiki is more snug around the heel and arch, but the toe box is still roomy. The Leiki toe box also has more structure and kept its shape, while the Versacore would crease and press against the top of my toes with each step which I found annoying. I liked the lower heel height of the Versacore, but ended up going with the cushier Leiki which seemed to also have more structure for ankle stability.

This is my second pair of this shoe. I wore the first pair nearly every day, year round for three years until the soles wore down. Fit perfectly from day 1 and I used them for hiking, ordinary wear around town, and even to a casual restaurant dinner. Got many compliments along the way. I am male, wear a men's size US 6/Euro 39 shoe, and have difficulty finding my size, and a women's size 7. 5 works with this shoe. Asolo was a new brand name for me and I 'm sold on their quality and fit. The waterproof feature is a bonus, especially in winter.

[ I love the look of these and they were generally comfortable, but just wearing them around the house for a few minutes it was clear that the narrow footbed would be a problem on longer hikes, so sadly having to return. I have worn so many different hiking shoes/boots over the years and have struggled to find something that I really like. I love these Talus ATs. My feet are a little bit wide and these are the perfect width for me. They are sturdy and there was no break in period for me. [ I was on a quest to find a waterproof, cushioned hiking shoe for Torres del Paine “ O ” backpacking trek The final pairs were from Columbia and Hoka Speedgoat. The Peakfreak was my final choice as I found that the cushioning level matched that of Hoka, without the bulk. I completed the trek and was compelled to write this review as the Peakfreak surpassed my expectations. The trek was around 70 miles with unforgiving terrain. This shoe softened the impact on my low back and foot pads, yet was sturdy for the uneven trail. We hiked through snow, rivers, mud and my feet remained dry. The soles gripped every rock and slippery root. My Peakfreaks kept me upright while others were slipping and losing traction. Oh, and no blisters and no break- in necessary. The only recommendation is to order 1/2 size up. I ’ m a true 9 1/2 and my toes were a bit crammed. I bought a size 10 and it fit perfectly.

[ I have been wearing Vasque coldspark a for 6 years but they have not been so waterproof last winter maybe it ’s due to a tear I don ’ t know. I was looking for the same pair to replace these and I did but also bought the Breeze. I must tell You they are the most comfortable hiking boots I ’ ve ever worn. My feet are cushioned and they never hurt after a long strenuous hike where the others left my feet screaming after only a few miles. The breeze are super lightweight too! I sincerely hope that Vasque does n't discontinue the Breeze LT GTX. I 've had a pair of clunkier Vasque's and a pair of Merrell's and these outperform both hands down. I 've worn these in the winter with a thicker pair of socks and in the summer with a thinner pair of socks over the last year of having them and they hold up great in both( although not designed as a winter/snow boot). Hiking summers in Boise desert heat is hard, and these have not once given me a blister, been uncomfortable, or made me question my footing. Everything about them is phenomenal! I recommend them to all of my friends and will continue to buy more pairs. Now I just want more color options please!:)

I bought these for a photography trip to Iceland. As with all my Vasque boots, they fit right out of the box. I hiked on rocky hills and through streams and wet sand beaches and they were a dream. Fully waterproof and comfortable after 12 hour days. Loved they were so much lighter than other hiking boots. Tread on bottom gave sure footing on wet rocks. I couldn ’ t have asked for more!

[ I 've only done about 20 miles in these boots so far, but am VERY happy with them! I read reviews all over the place and decided to follow the advice of ordering a half size up, I will always have to wear a thick sock with them but feel it was still the right way to go. After reading the reviews I was a little concerned about the `` strange arch support '' mentioned by many. I was worried it was going to be similar to Chacos, which I cant wear because of the large arch support, however it's not like that at all and gives more support under your heal( not sure how to best explain this(:) and I find it very comfortable. These seemed pretty stiff at first but after one 5 mile hike they loosened up and feel very similar to a tennis shoe. I do have to mention that the heal box is oddly large, this does n't seem to be an issue for me, but thought I would mention it incase it would be helpful to someone else. All in all I would say if your on the fence about these you should just go for it!

The FloatPro insole is the equivalent to an expensive orthotic insole in that it is supportive and yet has good cushion. It will be a go- to hiker since it did very well in the ice and snow. I wore these for several hikes including the challenging Kalalau trail on the North shore of Kauai and the Captain Cook hike on the Big Island. They served me well with good traction and good fit( I bought a half size larger than I typically wear to allow a bit of wiggle room). I washed the red dirt of Kauai off pretty easily with just water and left them in the sun to dry. They dried relatively quickly. These are waterproof and while I did n't submerge them in water, my feet stayed dry after crossing a few streams. Overall, these are terrific hiking boots! The only downside is my feet did get hot hiking in the 80 degree weather so maybe not as cool as some other styles, but I was having so much fun hiking, this was barely noticeable! They 'll be perfect for hiking in my homestate of MN!

I wore them in some slush/ice and had no issues. I think they ’ re really attractive. Was worried that the white sole would stain easily and look junky, but so far it ’s been fine. Haven ’ t been in mud yet though. I gave the comfort 4 stars because there ’s a spot where the upper was rubbing when I was breaking them in. It ’s gotten better and I imagine it will go away once they ’ re fully broken in. I ’ m also not used to having that much ankle coverage, so it could be that that ’s affecting me.

Amazingly comfortable. They make my feet feel loved. They grip well enough that I can step on slimy rocks without slipping. Only downside is they 're a bit warm for midsummer in the sun, but I think that's just the tradeoff for them being cozy in the snow as well as surprisingly waterproof- I 've dunked them two inches deep in streams and the water sheeted right off. My only request is to please bring these back in men's wide sizes- my husband has heard me talk about how great these are but ca n't find a pair in his size!

My orthotics fit in these perfectly. Without my orthotics the shoes rubbed against my ankle, but the inserts lifted my heel just enough so that was not an issue anymore. My feet love these shoes! The heel is a little higher than I am used to, so I wear a little higher socks( normally I would wear the no- show socks, so I just bought regular ones). Would 100% recommend these for everyday use. But I don ’ t recommend them in the snow.. they become pretty slippery.

I took these boots up to the mountains with me this past week and hiked in them on 3 long day hikes. I thought I would have to break them in so brought my old pair with me as a back up. I never had to change out! I loved how comfortable and light they felt the entire time. They didn ’ t feel clunky or stiff which I ’ ve experienced with other hiking boots. These are high quality and reliable. I ’ ll be taking these everywhere with me!

I love these boots. They are immensely comfortable. Wore them as cold weather boots for walking through fall& winter. But the colorways are absurd. I beg Vasque to release a colorway that can vibe in an urban setting… please!! Tonal, crisp, austere, understated… think: something that could be worn with a suit, to a meeting, restaurant, or any other grown- up activity. Think: city to trail in the same day. Please! I keep looking for another colorway to repurchase.

[ I love these boots. Wearing them feels like walking on giant marshmallows- they 're supportive without feeling constricting. I have weak ankles and narrow feet so the slim footbed and structured sides are perfect for me. These are my second pair of Vasque boots, the first being the snow boots I bought last season and loved. So far I have worn these on the beach and through the woods- looking forward to taking them on their first bigger hike this weekend. They 've proven to be waterproof and comfortable. Also, even though I was n't excited about the color scheme( teal& purple), they look really cute on.

I bought these for Oregon as an all weather wear. I love the no slip sole. I wore chains to walk around outside as a camp host in the snow and ice. I no longer need my shoe chains. The vibram sole never slips. I can go from outside to inside the kitchen without changing my shoes. My boots are very comfortable and lightweight. I always stay dry. Thanks for the excellent product. I have never worn a better boot. I have Red wing I had Danner, Columbia, Sorel, Solomon. These are by far my favorite yet.

Finally found a hiking boot that works for my wide foot and narrow heel! So comfortable... feels like wearing a running shoe. But has the support, durability, GTX and traction I like for hiking on snow, ice, and dirt. And waterproof+ zero drop too! Lace system makes it easy to adjust for different socks. Just feels good to wear, which I have not yet found in a hiking boot. And I have tried a lot!

I want to love them. They are extremely light and the ankles feel supportive without digging. Unfortunately they are a half size too small for me. I was also disappointed to see they arrived dirty and scuffed, with muddy soles and dog hair inside and out.

I don ’ t buy ASICS anymore. They are not of the quality I have experienced in past years. I have 2 pairs of water shoes from KEEN and they have traveled with me to far places and have worn for years. My new KEENS did not disappoint. I love, love love them. I ’ ve been wearing some iteration of the shoe daily since 2019. I like that they have streamlined the shoe's look, making them a little less chunky. I have flat feet and wear an insert. I use Keen ’s when I will be on my feet all day, and for all my daily activities. Great for walking on trails and slippery surfaces!

When I took them out of the box, I thought that they looked liked they were made of plastic. If they are made of leather the quality seemed very low. Most of the plastic quality made them very stiff. I tried walking around the house in them to see if they would soften up but the sides rubbed against my ankles. I didn ’ t think that would improve so I packed them up and returned them.

I got these for work, I work in landscape. I really love the style of these, I get lots of compliments on them. I got the tan leather color which I love. originally went half size bigger like website suggested but it was to big so I went with my true size a 10. I ’ ve worn them the last week so far so good took a day to break them in they were tiny bit stiff but so far I enjoy them. Wore them during the rain as well and was impressed with the waterproofing feet stayed nice and dry.

I took these on my rafting trip down the GRAND CANYON. I brought them for the side hikes from the river. Which are usually washes with some water crossings. These shoes did so well! They have incredible traction for climbing over big rocks in dry washes, or on slick ledges. The traction is incredible! They were comfortable right off the go and my custom orthotics fit in then since they have a removable foot bed. I loved these boots on the trip! Completely waterproof over the foot but if water gets up to the mid part where the laces are water does come in. I am going to look for a goretex hiking gater for that.

I wore this hiking boot, with 1/2 size up, with thick socks to Iceland, Finland, Norway, and Banff. Warm and comfortable for doing a lot of walking and hiking in cold, rain and wind. Did protect the ankles too. I ordered a second pair as backup for my next trip, but I still have the old one. Wish there are brighter color choices.

Absolutely LOVE these boots! True to size. VERY comfortable. Also very warm insulation with secure footing in the snow and slush of what has been an excessive northern Michigan winter! My coil style ice cleats fit on the sole no problem. My first ever pair of Merrell's. Zero drawbacks. Zero complaints. I needed something `` less '' than my tall Sorels but `` more '' than my tie- up ankle height `` work boot '' style non- insulated winter boot. These are the perfect `` in between '' for my needs. Have worn them often so I could give a valid review. I rarely take the time to write a product review but these boots have earned a 5- star rating. I risked my size going out of stock waiting for a sale and it was worth it. The price has gone down another$ 10 since I ordered. Get yourself a pair now- you wo n't regret it.
