I like the extra weight for the light resistance and gentle `` impact '' it provides to build muscle and bone strength. I even bike ride with the vest. I 've had mine over 2 years, and it is finally showing some age... slight gives and tears in fabric, but hey, I 've put it through the ringer... use it 3 to 4x a week. I never did use the water bottle attachment though. Too floppy. UPDATE: So my first review was 7 years ago. I bought another vest because I finally am seeing some wear on the Velcro straps on my first vest. It is still usable, but over time, it has gotten dirty and I figured just get another one. I still bike with it but I am also power- walking up hills with it. I love that the weights are dispersed on the back and front because then you do n't have an uneven pull just on your back and risk injury. This vest is solidly made- the stitches in my older vest never tore( although the fabric thinned creating small holes where the weights constantly rubbed during the work outs- but after 7 years of excessive use- that's nothing!). My new vest is black. At first I thought I 'd be disappointed because black holds in heat vs the grey, but then it also wo n't show dirt as much either. This vest is only$ 5 more than when I bought it 7 years ago. This company puts out reliable product that reflects highly on their standards and excellent design.

Works better than I imagined. Have used it daily for nearly 3 weeks now, and am ahead of my goals so far. Seems durable and comfortable. Can be adjusted for various body types and strength levels. Would recommend starting off with a small amount of weight, and building up over time, so not to risk stress or strain to your joints. Also, fill your lungs with air while strapping it on, that way you can still take deep breaths while working out.
