The laces lock in when pulled in and out of the first and second eyelets and the tongue itself is attached to the rest of the shoe up high so you can wear these with very loose laces and they ’ ll stay on well.

[ The Air Pegasus 2005, has checked all my son ’s boxes when it comes to his shoes. The stitching is perfect, and the combination of breathable fabrics make the shoe sturdy and I know will stand the test of time. The color way worked out excellent as they match his favorite team( Go Raiders!). As far as comfortability, he states they are 9/10, not being his most comfortable pair but very close. They are easy to clean off and the laces are the perfect length. The only complaint he had was the toe box is different than most of his other shoes and he had to get used to the feeling of his toes springing up with each step, but now it doesn ’ t bother him at all.

Did a plyometric session in these and they were great. Very cushioned and the carbon plate in the shoe gives good feedback. Kept my foot stable and secured. Bounding felt great in these. I have not competed in them yet, so we will see. I 'm usually a size 10. 5 but ordered an 11 because they do run small. The 11 was fine for me so I would n't worry about ordering a size up.

As a high school triple jumper I can say that this is the best triple jump spike on the market. I have tried other options and I can confidently say that if you do not have these spike you are at a major disadvantage in a competition. I have had 3 pairs and all of them are still in perfect condition to jump after 2 years I would recommend that you go a minimum half a size up if you would like them to fit snug. other than that I have no complaints about the fit. The cushion on the heel is in my option the best part about the shoe. It allows to be able to absorb the impact that face on the second phase of your jump while not taking away from that power that you can create on your first and last phase. The bottom plate of the shoe works exactly how you would want while performing your jump. the flat heal and aggressive toe design allow you to get the desired heel to toe movement that is so crucial in the triple jump. The carbon plate is very strong and helps create power in the third phase of the jump. In the next generation of the spike I would like to see firm feel of the toe much like the Adidas sp2 so that you can maximize the total push of that you are able to get in you last phase to drive you into the pit even farther.

I have arthritis in my left big toe joint, and tendonitis on the top and inside of that foot. I have been struggling to walk without increasing pain for the past 6 months, and have not been healing. It has been very discouraging. The tendonitis even caused pain while biking. I have been wearing this shoe for 3 days and am amazed! I am walking with very little pain in my big toe joint, and my tendonitis has already improved, both while walking and biking. I have tried all kinds of carbon fiber inserts inside all kinds of good athletic shoes, with no improvement, for six months! This built- in carbon fiber shoe, with the widened toe box, is working the magic. Please do n't change it( except to add the option of a wide width), and please do n't discontinue it. Best running shoes I ever had. I run 5 miles every other day and have wide, flat feet and these provide a nice combination of stability and cushioning. I did experience the “ suctioning ” phenomenon that others noted, but it ’s minor and only really noticed it on the treadmill or inside…not running outside.
