I bought these with skepticism- Nike usually has good looking shoes, but often underdeliver with quality and functionality. These shoes get the job done. I purchased with the intention of wearing them in the weight room- no desire to run and/or jump in them. They provide excellent ankle support and a wide toe base so that you 're able to get your feet set before every lift. The firm sole provides little toe bend, which I appreciate. I would n't recommend them if you 're wanting to run, they 're heavier and on the clunky side, but think they 're well suited for a lifting or HIIT type shoe.

Do n't know how these caught my eye but as my title explains I am an Adidas fan. These are probably the first Nike sneakers I bought in 20 years or more. The orange color combo is sleek, the fit and comfort is very very good. The kicker was the price. I train on the gym lifting weights and do some light running. I ’ ve bought Reebok Nano 6 ’s for years and they ’ ve been great for CrossFit workouts. I recently switched to more HIIT workouts and really felt the need for more cushioning- especially going from box jumps to sprints and more. I bought the metcons in both 8. 5( my normal size) and 9 ’s as people said to size up. They were comfortable and had more cushioning yet the same stability as my metcons but the sizing was a bit weird. My normal size felt a little bit tighter/smaller but the 9 ’s felt huge. I stuck with my normal size and did my first HIIT workout and they were SOLID. Super comfortable, stable for heavy lifts, and most importantly didnt feel tight. Definitely my new favorite shoe. Highly recommended.

For reference: I am 5 ’ 7 and wear a size 10 in women. So far so good. First off Thank you Nike! I ordered a size 11 because of my last pair of Nike I bought were a 10 and the fit was to small. Per a review I read and doing some research I ’ m glad I went a size up. I guess I could have gone with 10. 5 but why risk it. I had these on for an hour just walking inside the house and so far so good. I have plenty of wiggle room.

The Nike MC Trainer 3 is my favorite of the three styles of Nike trainers that I own. It is very comfortable with lots of cushioning, including padded tongue and all around the top. I like the sturdy pull- on tab on the back plus toe cap on the front. The shoelaces are round, just the right length, and stay tied. The lateral support is supurb making my BOSU ball workout easier. If I were designing them, I would probably add a bit more arch support, although they are adequate. Other reviewers have mentioned that they are rather plain, and that is true. Mine are gray, and the green on the bottom is a soft green so the silver metallic swoosh on the sides is a welcome touch. I 'd definitely buy this shoe again, especially if it comes out in all- black with black sole.

My nephew is 12 and still struggles to tie his shoes. It ’s not that he doesn ’ t know how, he just has some dexterity issues in his hands. As he ’s going into the 7th grade, I wanted him to have shoes that looked like everyone else ’s sneakers, but that he wouldn ’ t have to keep tying. We looked EVERYWHERE and he decided on these. He loves them. I will say, I am disappointed that they still tie. It makes sense that they do so the shoe is the right tightness on the foot, but I just assumed they had elastic laces for some reason. He loves these though. In true Nike fashion they run an entire size smaller than most other shoe brands.
