Absolutely. But after hiking all day with a heavy pack, it's heaven to sink into a comfy chair at your campsite. I ’ m 6 ’ 4 ”, 260 pounds. This chair is the bees knees! I sat in this thing for 6 hours on the beach and have the sunburn to prove it. Crazy comfortable for long term use and solid as a tank. This makes it so much easier to carry to and from the beach. It is very low to the ground so it is good for keeping your toes and feet in the sand. It is sturdy and light. You do not have the option of reclining back but you are not sitting up to straight or back too far. It has padded arms and a headrest. It is very comfortable and easy to use.

I love that it comes in its own carrying case so it is easy to bring even if you have to park super far from your destination. This chair is very comfortable too, it has a nice firm but also supportive fabric. It is very low to the ground( standard for beach chairs), so some may find it difficult to get in and out of, but it is not a problem for our family.
