This is my second parka I brought the black last year. Alot of compliments on the color. Performs as expected in extreme weather. Just make sure you order a size down.

The
The Nuptse Parka is very warm and fashionable. The quality is excellent. I get compliments every day that I wear it. Thank you The North Face for making such a fine item.

This is the warmest coat I own. It's perfect for all this cold weather. It looks good dressed up or dressed down.

I live in southeastern Massachusetts, and it's been unusually cold this winter. I researched different brands of insulated parka coats for men and came to the conclusion the North Face Nuptse Parka is supreme. I love how immediately effective it is in blocking all of the frigid cold even with less layering underneath. On my workdays in the office, I wear a business suit year- round, and this parka takes the place of my usual black wool overcoat. It is light and versatile enough even for warmer days. I 've been a fan of North Face since 1989 when I purchased my first Gortex down parka from them. I adore their quality workmanship, and the zippers last forever!

This jacket is a light, packable, and comfortable. Perfect for warm weather adventures that just need a little extra layer to block the wind. It packs down into a small pouch that can be tossed in your pack or beach bag for that `` ace in the hole '' when needed. Unlike many competing brands, this jacket is made of a very soft material and does not have the crinkle feeling like you are putting on a trash bag. Also unique to this jacket compared to it's competitor's is that it has front handwarmer pockets as well as a chest pocket( most packable options do not). The pockets in my opinion bring it from just being a quick grab backup plan to an intentionally worn and functional jacket. The chest pocket is a great spot to quickly store your cell phone and the front hand pockets give you that sensation like you just put on your favorite hoodie sweatshirt. I have worn it while hiking mountains during the summer in Maine to hanging out on the beach in Costa Rica on a windy day.
5
Intermittent Grouch
This jacket is extremely comfortable. I 'm 5' 6 '' with broad shoulders and a more or less triangular shape( not a body builder by any stretch, though). The medium fits me perfectly with room to layer. I expect it's long enough for taller people, too. It breaths well, provides good wind protection, and a small amount of protection from precipitation. The first time I tried running in this jacket, the hood flopped annoyingly into my field of view. I have since discovered that you can just fold the brim back once or twice to tighten up the fit. This may look a little wonky, but it works beautifully, and it's the only option, since there's no drawstring adjustment on the hood. It's very nice to have hand- warmer pockets, which many wind shells omit.

PNWhiker28
I bought this to try out in spring/summer in Washington and it is fantastic. It's super light weight but does a great job at blocking the wind and light rain. The fit is trim but not overly loose( I got a large with a 41 '' chest, 6', 188 lbs). It has quickly become my go to windbreaker and has replaced my Arc'teryx Squamish hoody. Definitely worth the buy!

Jacket fits me very well and has definitely been a good addition to my winter setup( temps in the 30s and damp). Warm but not bulky, packs down small enough to easily stuff it in my bag.

I love this jacket- it ’s lightweight, comfortable, and packable. This is my second shadow hoodie, and the most recent version has longer sleeves. Not a huge deal, but if I ’ m not using the thumb looks, I fold the sleeves inward to sit on my wrist. I ’ m 6 ’ 2 ”, 205lbs and ordered the large.

This jacket is great!! I received this jacket about a month ago and have been very impressed so far. It is very warm considering how light it is and very comfortable. The level of water resistance is more than capable for light rain and light snow.

This jacket is excellent for the chilly early mornings of a Minnesota fall. I was n't too excited about the color choices available but fortunately for me the orange I ordered came looking darker and more burnt than the picture and I love it. I 'm 6' 1 215ish and ordered an XL, the fit is slim but looks really good on me. It's light weight but enough to keep the wind and chill out until the sun can warm things up a bit.

Best rain jacket yet!. Durable, good movement with kits or gear underneath. Has some versatility in pockets. Also used to double up as a Snow shell for a spring Colorado Snowfall. I really like the hood, no so large that it cuts your vision off but still sheds water off your face like a hat.

Used this on vacation, light weight looks nice and good fit.
5
Joshua Z
The jacket fit my normal sizing( didn ’ t need to size up) with enough room to add a layer or so during the colder months. Initial inspection ended with all seems, zippers and surfaces being in good condition and well made. It withstood the test of heavy winds and salt water leaving nothing to be desired. Additionally if you appreciate a rain jacket with a tall zip up to the neck and comfortable hood, this is a good option.

I wear this jacket for everything- hiking, around town, commuting. The zip system is amazing in terms of letting me vent as much as I need on wet but hot/humid days, as well as drape the jacket over a medium sized backpack when commuting to keep it dry

Finally... A jacket that does what it says its going to do- so happy I purchased this. Excellent rain protection I experienced over 2 hours in medium rain on walk. No wet out, no leakage- water just ran off and kept me dry the whole time. Highly recommend this jacket for sure!

I 'm so happy with this windbreaker! It's super lightweight but really does cut down on the wind. The fit is very flattering. And more importantly, it has hand pockets! That may not seem like a big deal, but I 've been disappointed with numerous other lightweight windbreakers on the market that do n't have hand pockets. The pockets are zippered too. This will be a versatile jacket to throw in my bag for spring, summer, and fall. I can see myself using it for hiking, biking, and around town.

Was looking for a high- visibility running jacket similar to the Patagonia Houdini Air( wind resistance+ breathability). I have both the regular Houdini( size L) and Houdini Air( M). Keeping this in M. FIT: I 'm 5' 1, 150 lbs, 34DD, round belly. With a Smartwool 250 baselayer or a thin long- sleeved cotton t, fit is close to the body, but not tight( Houdinis run much slimmer); pretty forgiving of my belly:) Perfect length for me, falling around mid- hip; Houdinis are longer, falling below my butt. FEEL/FUNCTION: I 've worn this for multiple runs( incl. light rain, strong wind). This feels somewhere in- between the Houdinis in terms of wind- blocking and breathability. V. light rain beaded on the surface of the jacket, but left a mark when smushed into the fabric. Material is a matte, slightly stretchy, more fabric- y( vs. plastic- y) material- like a slightly thicker/heavier Air. Hood fits over thick pony- tail securely when fully zipped, and stays in strong wind. Doubles as a running and casual jacket better than the Houdinis due to a more forgiving fit around the mid- section( for looser- fitting street clothes), shorter length( more flattering for my short stature), and zippered side pockets. Packs down small enough for an upcoming 2. 5 week trip to Europe( 24L bag). COLOR: Azalea appears neon coral in the pictures, which is what originally attracted me. Unfortunately, it actually is not neon at all, and is more like a salmon pink that leans more pink than orange. It is slightly see- through. LOVE the green( Grove) colorway- something about the color+ matte fabric texture+ matching zippers makes it look SO smooth and rich and clean. Did not intend to get this color, but decided to try( and keep!) it based on the( accurate) pictures.

Impressive 3- 1 after wearing out my North Face 3- 1 system I have wore for years. Bought this to replace it and I am happy with what my research settled upon. Love the zip out silk liner as a stand alone lite duty jacket, a nd the shell works excellent as a rain cover. This is a great system for a beginner or an expert in the field or out on the town. Size runs true and is a little longer than expected but I did not mind the extra length to cover my hind end.

I use this as an everyday jacket for plain clothes LE work in PA. It is insanely warm for how light weight it is. Water repellency and wind resistance is excellent. Excellent balance between weight and warmth. Only downfall is the length makes it difficult to get to a sidearm when zipped up.

Keeps me warm in the 30s easily with just a normal shirt and a sweater. With real layers I have been able to walk approx 30 minutes round trip in the low 20s and strong winds. It ’s very warm and also gives you that psychological warmth boost of a fat, cozy puffer. The length is just right if you need a big outermost layer but don ’ t want a full parka length. I am normally between S and M for most things and a S easily fits me even with a chunky sweater. The two internal mesh pockets are clutch.

Excellent light vest for keeping it flashy when you need that extra warmth but do n't want to sacrifice arm mobility. Added to my wardrobe for winter mixed climbing after a few years of feeling like Ralphie from Christmas Story, and sweet mother of god the difference in comfort is a game changer. I stay just as warm, but do n't feel like I have a wad of underwear in my armpits. Great stuff. Sizing runs a bit large- I 'm 6' 3 '' 215lbs and XL is a wee bit baggy on me. Great for layering over thicker base layers, but a bit loose if you 're headed into the office to turn heads. On a side note, I tend to be pretty conservative with color selection as a white hetero dude- all blues and grays. Tried to go out on a limb here, and the warm yellow tones on this jacket make me feel like a little ball of sunshine. Nice pallet, OR. Thanks for giving the bois an alternative to the norm.

I 've used this jacket on longer runs in the temp ranges of 5° to 25° and it performs really well. No issues using it woth just a tee underneath. I like the material layout because it puts insulation where you need it. It has solid wind protection as well. I could see this piece used for hiking as well. For running, only issue I see is there is n't any reflective material for running in low light conditions, but is n't a show stopper.

Backpacking requires the forethought to bring only what you need as weight becomes a significant factor with extended trips. This Helium jacket is a game changer when it comes to weather protection. The weightless feel and bombproof protection it provides makes it a companion on not only backpacking trips, but day hikes, after dinner walks, bike rides and simply dinner outings when weather is sketchy. I 'm 5' 9 '' and the Medium is perfect for me- allowing for a midweight layer underneath.

I live at elevation, where weather conditions can change fast( and wind is common). I 've worn this jacket in a variety of conditions so far: rain/snow mix at 40 degrees,< sub- freezing temps and sunny, dark and 32 degrees. It's kept me warm without overheating, blocked the wind, and kept me dry during light/moderate precipitation. It's lightweight and packs up small, and is my new fav running item! It feels like it might run just a tad bit small in my opinion, so if you want a thicker layer under it, I might suggest sizing up.

I winter hike a lot in the white mountains of New Hampshire and I love this layer! It's perfect for ascents over my 300 weight wool shirt. I rarely sweat in it or need more than those 2 layers. If I do sweat it evaporates very quickly. It's very thin and lightweight however I barely need an additional layer in higher elevations. I have worn this in temps ranging from 10- 30 degrees F. It's amazing. I love the windbreaker aspect of it bc it either surprise snows or you brush up against trees while hiking and do n't get wet. You stay so warm with the fleece lining. Still ca n't believe how thin it is.

I 've had several pairs of rain pants from other manufacturers over the years and these are the best so far. They do n't restrict my leg movements, do n't leak, and are easy to get on and off. The rise is high, so you have good overlap with your top and the waist drawstring seems sturdy enough, although I pair them with suspenders also. Rain and wet brush are expected if you are outside much of the year here in the PNW, so you need some good rain pants.

I was skeptical of the modern, thin, down jackets and vests. I ’ ve loved my old style, bulky down vests, and had full faith in the warmth of down. The Outdoor Research Helium Down Vest has become a daily part of my kit working at a ski area. The cut is definitely very athletic or snug, which does make it amazing for layering over. I ’ m normally somewhere between a large and extra large, the XL fits much closer to a large than a XL. While not the most flattering for fashion wear, but it ’s perfect for how warming layers are meant to be worn. Generally I ’ ll wear this vest over my base layer and under my other mid layer. Thought the day I might remove my other mid layer and use just this vest and my shell. As with all of my Outdoor Research gear I ’ m very impressed and happy with my purchase.

I like the cut of OR jackets. I am 6 ’ 1 ” 235. The Helium Down does not disappoint regarding warmth. It has that soft down feeling with added structural integrity where one might carry a pack. The gusseting in the arm allow for a full range of motion without much rise. I have long arms and can still draw out without the jacket tightening too much in the back. If for some reason I found myself in dire need of more warmth I could wear it underneath a jacket or shell because it could compress enough to almost be a base layer and not sacrifice its loft. At which point I am certain to roast.
5
Finn
This jacket served me well for 10 years of steady use every winter/fall and I finally replaced it. The quality is superb, the new Pertex Shield on the shoulders/arms gives it a much more durable feel. It has a premium feel in the hand and is a nice blend of weight/durability. Fits great with layers underneath, but also works well as a mid- layer under a shell. I 'm a fan of the new color options too. In summary, this is a durable, lightweight, packable and versatile jacket that does its job in the back- country but transitions seamlessly to the front- country. Highly recommended.

I have a number of OR gear/jackets/fleece. For reference I 'm 5'10 '' and weigh 215 average build so I typically wear an XL in OR and L in some other brands depending on fit. I bought a couple of yrs ago and really impressed in all weathers it is my go to jacket as it keeps me warm in all conditions- if its wet I wear a waterproof light goretex jacket on top- my favourite features are the external chest zip pocket for my phone and the internal stash pockets- I need to get another as sadly with age I need a larger one- could n't recommend more highly( and it feels so light)

One of my favorite down jackets in my collection. It has great fill and added material in the arms and shoulders for water resistance and toughness. Not as slim and tapered as patagonia but a great fit and true to size. It worked great for a two week trip through Europe in January. This is a great everyday jacket for the winter months!

This is great three season jacket on its own it also pairs well as insulation layer under any shell. From wearing in town to sleeping in it this has served me well. The waterproof shoulders is great when setting up camp in light snow or rain and not get soaked through
5
Eric M
used this at work during- 30°f temps with layers and kept me plenty warm. the thicker material on the shoulders protected the jacked from a heavy weighted survey vest and the jacket has held up very well for extended periods outside in the woods, may be a bit warm for vigorous activity but perfect for normal use in cold temps.

Absolutely love this shirt. It ’s made of magic. Awesome for summer around water. Dries very quickly. Can wear swimming instead of sunblock. Keeps the sun off you and keeps you cool as it breathes well. Also keeps you warm as the sun goes down. I have a bunch of these. I wear them all the time! Great for most outdoor activities.

I absolutely adore the Rain Defender exterior fabric. Will Rain Defender keep me dry in a cloud burst rain storm? Nope! However I am often required to work outside when it is heavily misting, snowing and sleeting. I have a number of shirts and jackets with a sherpa lining. Layering under the sherpa provides excellent warmth. The last day I wore this sweatshirt it was windy, rainy and around 35 degrees. I stayed warm and dry. Excellent purchase. I am very pleased.

I purchased this hoodie for sun protection on a recent 9- day backpacking trip. I bought the light grey colour because I thought it could double as bug protection, since the mosquitoes were horrendous. I really liked how feather- light it was, it dried fast and the hood was great when the bugs were fierce. Furthermore, all the bug/blood/sweat stains cleaned up nicely after the trip and it looks good as new! As for durability and wind- proofness, I will bring it on my next two canoe trips this July and report back:)
5
Mollie L
Quite happy with this version of the Astroman! Still the same great sun protection and durability but the material seems lighter/faster drying somehow. Not sure how they managed that without sacrificing durability but so far it's held up beautifully! I 'm a sweaty hiker and it's pretty amazing how little sweat this shows and how fast it dries. This lil hoody is also extremely packable- have taken it on quite a few birding/hiking trips and long days bike- packing. I plan to take it to AZ this weekend for a friend's bday trip to really put it to the test( I 've been using it in Idaho thus far). Also- LOVE this pink color. I would buy anything and everything in this pink, so dang cute! I bought a Small and Medium and I 'm keeping the Medium- I 'm 5' 4 '' and about 140- 150lbs( 30 '' waist and 40 '' low hip, aka most of my weight is in my booty/thighs). The small fit fine, but I prefer a looser fit for layering and breathability:) And because this is a sun shirt, looser fit is best for the fabric to keep out sun rays, anyways. The ONLY thing I would change about this: please move the pocket to the chest or somewhere more useful. It's on the right hip and goes backwards which is strange and not natural at all, I really dislike it. I 'd prefer it be on the chest( like the men's version) or even still on the hip but a zippered drop pocket( like the Freewheel Hoodie).

Plan on using this for snowboarding ... Really light weight yet still warm- love the feel of the fabric. ... Very lightweight, warm and love all the pockets and amenities the coat

[ I bought this coat in boysenberry after Chicago got hit with lots of snow and below zero temperatures. As I was out shoveling, I discovered the designer winter coat I bought from a big department store was NOT waterproof. Unfortunately, I weigh 274, so finding a coat is n't easy. After researching, I decided to try this one even though it is over$ 300. It fits great( it is n't loose, but it is comfortable and I can sit with it zipped)! It also is not puffy, so there is no added bulk. The sleeves are nice in that they are not too short and I can tighten them at the wrist with the Velcro. I also love the chest pocket-- I put my phone in there and can listen to a podcast as I walk my dog. Well worth the money!

These pants are awesome. Great baggier fit for people with larger muscular legs. I ’ m 6 ’ 2 or 188cm and I got a L regular. Slightly long but nothing a belt can ’ t help. I took them on a mountaineering adventure snowshoeing through knee to waist deep snow without getting even a drop wet. Incredible breathability, stretch, and comfort. I love the color too! They even ripped because I snagged them with a crampon and still didn ’ t let any water through!

Christopher D
One of the best mountaineering pants you can get- durable, breathable, and yet still warm at any altitude. These are my go- to pants for many PNW mountain treks( Mt Adams, Middle Sister, Mt. Hood, etc). The fit is fairly true- to- size, but I would have expected a bit more stretch in the waist. I 'm usually a 32 in most clothing, and M's feel a bit tight. There's plenty of stretch in the legs which makes for easily climbing, but the waist can definitely be a bit annoying. It's not enough to take away from how great these are, but something to consider if you 're on the border of sizes.
$215.00
It ’s also just perfect to keep you at a comfortable temperature during the day wether in a classroom setting or outside doing outdoors stuff. ... Perfect for cool spring and fall

[ I came across this jacket when searching for a synthetic alternative to my down jacket for backpacking. And while it's maybe just a little too heavy and bulky for my ultralight goals, I bought it because I liked it so much in general( tried in on in a store, bought it on Mossejaw). And now I wear it anytime the weather's a little chilly. It's warm, a great fit-- not too tight, not too baggy-- and the material just feels great. I 've also had it out in light rain for half an hour or so, and nothing soaked in. So it really is at least a little water repellent. Only con is, I do n't like the double, left- handed zipper, but I 'll get used to it. And who knows, maybe I 'll end up bringing it on a backpacking trip, since I like it so much. Glad I bought it during the big sale!

[ This is a very nice jacket. My son changed his mind about the weight of the coat he was looking for, but loved the fit and feel of it. This is a lightweight jacket and feels like it would be easy to pack away or tie around your waste if you 're out hiking or just out and about.

No matter the price or claim all waterproof jackets will eventually wet out. However, why carry something heavy and wet when you can have a helium. These keep rain out pretty good, for the weight conscious, you wo n't get better. Probably the best ultralight rain jacket on the market.

Jacket has performed beyond expectations! I purchased this jacket to use for downhill Skiing, with the expectation that i would use it in more mild temperatures. I live in the NWT, Canada where temperatures can reach as low as- 50C. more often than not i find myself reaching for this jacket( layering during colder temperatures) for most of my winter activities! This jacket has great waterproofing and breathability& very good and breaking the chill from the wind. i would recomend this jacket to anyone who is active in the winter at a range of temperatures as it is very easy to layer up underneath. 10/10

[ This jacket is so stylish and meets my expectations. It ’s lightweight and airy with deep pockets and is easy to style whether you want a street look or a sporty look. The fabric is great quality and feels cool to touch. It also repels UV! It ’s perfect for me to wear in the spring or fall time as a casual jacket or even as a warm up. [ This jacket is so comfy and stylish! It ’ ll be the perfect transitional piece for the fall or maybe even a summer night. It ’s very lightweight and easy to pack and carry and would be really easy to stash away in a tote bag or tie around my waist if needed. I usually wear a women ’s medium in tops, so the men ’s medium is a little big, but I prefer an oversized look for my jackets anyways. The body has a nice loose look but the sleeves are a little long on me, but again, I don ’ t mind it. I like the material which feels like the kind used in parachute pants, but it ’s not swishy and loud. What really stands out to me are little details like the chest pocket which has a stylish little buckle strap as well as a black embroidered Nike logo. These features are functional but also add a cool unique touch. I also love that the side pockets have zippers- I know this is a common feature in men ’s clothing but, believe it or not, not something I see a lot in women ’s clothing!! As a klutz who sometimes drops things, even from my pockets, this extra level of security is really helpful. I can definitely see this piece becoming a staple in my wardrobe and something I can wear on a hike, a flight, or a night out in the city.

[ This top is one of the most comfortable things I ’ ve worn in a long time. It breathes so well. This can be worn from the early months of Spring all the way to the late months of Fall. It ’s roomy and can go well with almost anything else you ’ re wearing. Definitely one of the best outdoor tops Nike has ever produced. 5 STARS!

[ I recently got to try this black Nike woven jacket with a loose fit, and it has quickly become one of my favorite wardrobe pieces. The design is sleek and modern, staying true to Nike's signature style. The loose fit offers a comfortable and relaxed feel, making it perfect for layering over other clothing. The jacket is made from high- quality woven material, which is both lightweight and durable. It provides just the right amount of warmth for cool days without feeling too heavy or cumbersome. The fabric also has a nice texture, adding a bit of visual interest to the overall look. One of the standout features is the jacket's versatility. It pairs effortlessly with both casual and athletic outfits, making it a great addition to any wardrobe. The black color is classic and goes with everything, while the subtle Nike branding adds a touch of sporty sophistication. The only minor downside is that the loose fit might not be everyone's preference, especially if you prefer a more tailored look. However, for those who appreciate a relaxed and comfortable style, this jacket is a fantastic choice.

[ Fits perfectly. I am usually a medium and bought a medium. I was hesitant on sizing after reading some reviews stating the vest runs large. I disagree. I am 5' 5 '' and 140 pounds- athletic built. The vest fits nicely. For those complaining about it being puffy... it is a puffy vest after all, not sure why it is an issue!!! I highly recommend this product. Very warm. I bought this recently after outgrowing a jacket I used for many years! I keep my jackets for multiple years and am very pleased with it so far. It ’s extremely cozy and warm and I get cold easily! I live in the interior of BC, Canada, where it ’s often brisk in the mornings and evenings. I am 5 ’ 6 ” and 170lbs of muscle with wider hips and shoulders- this jacket in a large fits perfectly with room for a hoodie underneath while not being too tight on my bum. The forest green colour is also beautiful and matches my green eyes but that ’s besides the point. I love it and hope it lasts many many years!

[ Bought this for my wife for Xmas- she ’s a long distance runner despite the weather and her other coats just weren ’ t cutting it anymore. She said this is the best, warmest coat she ’s had in 35+ years of running- and we ’ ve tried them all. Well constructed.

I ’ ve had this coat for a few weeks now and I love it. It ’s dreamily warm, looks fantastic and the pack down feature it really going to be great for travel. It has even performed perfectly on walks in temperatures well below freezing. I ’ m just over 5 ’ 6 ” and 150 lbs, athletic build and medium works well. It was slightly larger than what I thought it would be, as I am hoping to use it under a waterproof layer soon, but the small would likely have been too small. Still thinking it will work as a mid layer when I need it to.

[ I bought this jacket for a family roadtrip we did a couple weeks ago to Tennessee. We traveled from Florida- temps averaged in the 70 ’s, to the Smokies where the temps dropped to 22F some nights. I ’ m glad I had this jacket on hand. It ’s really well made, light and you can easily pack it inside it ’s front pocket. It turns into a cute little bag easy to store in a backpack for “ just in case ”. I ’ m 5 ’ 5 ” tall, 112lbs female and ordered a small size. At first I thought it ’s a little too big for my build. But then I thought if I go somewhere where it really snows, it would be nice to wear some extra layers under it. If you 're on the fence to make such an investment, it ’s worthy every penny.

For reference I am W; 5'11, 145lbs, and purchased in size Medium. I live in Ottawa, ON, Canada, and it gets down below- 20C routinely. I have had this jacket for a year now and could not be happier. As someone tall and with long arms, this jacket is a dream! Every time I slip it on I feel like it was made for me, the fit is that perfect. The adjustable drawstring at the waist and knees ensures that no wind is going up your back, but i still have room to layer a sweater underneath. This parka is also super toasty and does a good job of being wind resistant. The hood is also one of the best I have ever had. It offers the same insulation as the rest of the jacket, and when you tighten the drawstring it's then shaped perfectly to your head. No matter how windy or stormy the hood stays in place. As someone who used to dread winter because I was always cold/uncomfortable, upgrading to a quality parka that actually reaches all the way to my knees has been such a game changer. I guess it's true what they say, there's no such thing as bad weather, just bad outfits. I would purchase this product again and again. Please never change the fit or the quality!

I bought this coat when I moved to one of the coldest cities in the US( Duluth). To those who think this coat is not warm enough… that is utter nonsense. If it is above 20F(- 5C) I literally sweat in this coat, even just wearing a t shirt underneath. I have worn it to walk my dogs for over an hour in- 40F windchill and still felt warm. I would say if you don ’ t live somewhere very very cold, this coat may too warm for you. I would absolutely plan to rebuy if ever needed but so far it has held up great! 155lbs, 5 ’ 7 SIZE M fits perfect

As a native Chicagoan, I ’ ve endured some frigid temperatures( as cold as- 20F/- 28C with the windchill) and this parka is my secret weapon. It ’s roomy enough to fit multiple thick layers underneath and super comfortable. The hood helps shield your face from heavy winds and doesn ’ t easily collapse. It ’s a little bulky, but that ’s to be expected for the type of coat it is. It is legitimately the warmest coat I own. I ’ m obsessed. I highly recommend this parka to anyone who has to deal with routinely frigid winters. It ’s worth the cost.

I absolutely love this jacket—it's hands down the best one I own, and I have a lot. The red color is eye- catching, and it's incredibly comfortable and flexible, not stiff or heavy even in the coldest temperatures. Living in the Northeast, I 'm often outside in freezing weather, and this jacket keeps me warm without feeling bulky. After a couple of years, it still looks great, and I get tons of compliments on it. It's easy to care for too: I wash it on a gentle cycle with mild detergent and air fluff it on low heat, and it comes out looking like new. Definitely a five- star product!

I love this coat! I live in Alberta, Canada and I am always cold( I keep my house at 22 C and also sit under a blanket). I have only had this coat a few weeks, but I LOVE it. As other reviewers have mentioned, it ’s a bit like wearing a sleeping bag, but in a good way. I bought the navy blue, which is true to the picture online. I ’ ve already gotten compliments on the colour. I was so warm and cozy today at- 25 C with only a light layer underneath. It is soft, wind resistant and light weight. I know it to continue to keep me warm below- 25 temperatures. I ordered XS as per the size chart( the fit finder recommended size small). The XS fits perfectly with room for layers. I am 5 ’ 10 with long arms and find the sleeve length to be great and the coat falls just below my knees. I love all of the pockets, drawstrings and snaps. What a great investment!

Waterproof, durable, and it looks great! ... I got the XL to have plenty of room for winter layers. ... OR has continued to impress, this true to size( large) fit perfect with room for insulated layer. Light weight, soft fabric that keeps me dry. Limited pockets which is expected in a light weight jacket, it has your two hand pockets and two exterior access chest pocket for your phone, etc. Highly recommend this jacket. If you 're looking for a heavy duty rugged backcountry jacket this likely is n't for you.

This jacket does everything for me. It's my lightweight rain jacket and also my ski touring jacket. It's durable but also breathes. It fits me just right, 5' 8 '', 150 woman wearing size medium.

Ellie
I bought this with the intention of it being my main backcountry ski jacket, and not for rain so I ca n't comment on how well it is waterproof. But personally, it is somewhat of a heavy jacket for rainy warm weather. I loved it today in zero temps with a thin fleece hoody and wool shirt on underneath. I was a little concerned about how the stiff, tall collar would feel on my face, but it was great coverage and roomy enough so my neck gator fit underneath it just fine. I sized up in this jacket because I need to layer and went with XL which meant it was fairly long and covered my bum, but still surprisingly close fitting around the hips which is common for me in OR tops. It is a great weight for cold backcountry ski days, lighter than my older OR Skytour shell but heavier than the Motive. I am posting a photo. Love the color too. In the photo I also have on the insulated Snowcrew ski pants which were toasty on this bitter cold day!
