This is a great basic skate for the recreational skater. They 're just like the skates I remember from childhood, they get the job done& the price is right. I read mixed reviews about sizing, some said true to size& others said order larger than street size. I normally wear about a 7. 5 so I ordered an 8& it's perfect.

I recently purchased these skates because I ca n't afford$ 150 skates at the moment. They are great quality for it's price. Did n't need major sharpening when I received it. They work great on the ice. I can do some jumps just do n't go too hard on it. I recommend using these skates for beginning classes but if you want to get into major competition I suggest spending the extra money to buy competition skates. I usually wear a size 7. 5/8 and I purchased a 7, it fit nicely.

As a young boy we could n't afford hockey skates so I always wore my sisters figure skates. Much later when I was now on my own I took back into ice skating but this time wearing men's hockey skates. The problem with the men's skates they did n't have toe picks and that was what I really missed. These Tricot Figure Skates in ladies size 11 fit me perfect and they are exactly what I needed to be able to enjoy ice skating again. It would have been nice if they came in black but I will get useto wear white figure skates again.
