I use 3in and 4in Big Hammers as my go to swimbait on 1/4th and 3/8th ounce swimbait heads. They have a great tail thump/ body wobble that it just right, not too little and not too much. The tail swims on the fall and does it's thing on the slowest of retrieves. I really like the keeled body because it helps it get down to the bottom quick, rather than round body swimbaits that might suspend in comparable situations with a ton of line out or in moving current. They are reasonably durable and they have a great color selection. They are literally the only swimbait I use on a swimbait jighead!

After almost 50 years of fishing in PA, VA and DE, still my favorite trout and panfish lure. I 've used different colors but yellow body with a silver blade and black with a gold blade( 1/8 th oz) seem to work the best for me in creeks and ponds. I tie a tiny barrel swivel with a clip directly on to my line( 10 lbs. braid) and attach the lure to the clip. Simple lure, casts and retrieves well, good construction. Explosive hits. Fun to use.
