Heater over delivered on the Heater Pro Curveball Pitching Machine, it's the single best single wheel real baseball pitching machine I have ever seen. Before delivery I was somewhat skeptical but I was impressed immediately with the construction and the easy of assembly, I fired the first ball out my front door 15 minutes after it was delivered. I will say this, speed 10, 50 MPH at 46- 50 feet is going to overpower most kids under 12, it seems more like a mid 80's pitch from that range so if you have a small cage 50 foot or smaller this is your ideal machine as the kids wo n't outgrow it for a few years. I 've shown this to several coaches and they all said the same that it throws much harder than what it advertises. Great machine and the price is fantastic.

This Pitching machine was bought for my Grandsons( ages 11& 7) Both boys play on leagues in the summer. This was bought to practice with in the off season. The description is very accurate. It is a very well built, solid machine. Easy to put together& store. The boys are loving it. I believe it was not recommended for the age of 7 but it challenges him and he does well with it. Just tried it for the first time. It assembled quickly. Of coarse height adjustment is required for changing speeds. The higher the speed the more consistent the pitch. I am very pleased with the purchase. The smile on my daughters face makes it priceless.

First time, first pitching machine. fairly easy to assemble. At 100% can probably throw over 55 mph but the motor vibrates and its noisy. Around 85% does not. Since I practice slow pitch I get various speed options to practice.

Bought for 2 daughters who play fast pitch, ages 10 and 12. You wo n't find a better Machine for the price. Housing is all metal, the wheel is a very small rubber tire type. A lot smaller than the Jugs Jr but throws about the same speed. Maxes out at about 50mph. The wind speed and direction affect the overall ball speed. Pitching into the wind slows the balls down noticeably, as does the wind from behind increase speed. Overall for[$] with a feeder you simply cant go wrong. we have thrown over 2000 balls through this machine so far and it still works fine. I would recommend the Juggs Sting free type balls( 2 dozen) these seem to work the best. We have tried the heavier batting cage balls and they come out slower due to weight and sting the batters hands more.

Unit is surprisingly accurate. Get a net to catch the missed pitches or you will be chasing balls all day.

We bough this machine a few years ago for my son when he was in little league. It helped him greatly with his swing. Since I have a bad elbow that prevents me from throwing accurately& could n't help him practice, we were able to use this for not only his hitting practice, but you can easily adjust it& use it for fielding pop- ups& grounders as well.( Great for pop- ups!) I used to film his swings& we could see it together& work on his mechanics. It tends to bog down a little in speed after a few dozen balls go through it but just give it more time# an extra couple of seconds) between balls. My only real complaint is that we went to use it after a few seasons& the motor quit working. At the time Dick's was n't carrying them in their stores anymore or I would have replaced it with another. Instead we bought another brand that is no way near as accurate or consistent as this machine was. I think that's what I liked the most about this machine. You could get it set up& it would be real consistent. Find the strike zone& you were good!

This is exactly what it says it is. Perfect pitching machine for the smaller golf ball sized balls. My son and I hit wiffle golf balls before every game to get hes eyes on the ball. This machine is perfect for that, indoor or out door. I live in the Cleveland area so its pretty windy and this pitches through it no problem. I enjoy hitting off it as well. The balls have a true flight to them also, you can really hit them far. As accuracy goes its really like any other pitching machine you have to dial it in and it will occasionally throw some bad ones. Which I think is fine, you dont get perfect pitches when you step in the box.

This past season he struck out once with 22 at bats. The `` small ball '' helps your child track the ball all the way in. The downsides are machine only comes with 3 balls so make sure you buy extras. Also product says it has a number of settings but I truly do not see much if any difference between speeds/settings.

Just used it for the first time with my high school son. I was skeptical that the Changeup would somehow be telegraphed to the hitter. I thought for sure you could see the wheel slow down. I was wrong. I thought for sure you would be able to hear the motor slow down. I was wrong again. Finally, I figured the machine would take too long to adjust from Fastball to Changeup. Wrong for the third time. Hitting off this machine is just like being at bat in a game. When I played in high school and college, batting practice off machines became almost automatic. You knew the type of pitch, the speed and the general location before the next ball was pitched. This machine changes everything. Agree with others that switching the assembly between softball and baseball takes a couple minutes and is n't really feasible in the same session. I ’ ve been using this machine for 2 weeks now and it ’s working out great. The pitches are all strikes but not exactly the same place so it ’s not too easy. It ’s a bit of work to switch the legs back and forth from the baseball to softball ones so you pretty need to do one or the other in one session. My daughter feels like the low profile legs give her pretty realistic look at how pitches come at her on the games which is a huge plus compared to having hit her off the baseball machines. It was a bit pricey being$ 500 over the machine that throws 60 mph( this one is 70) so I hope my kids are still using it when they face that velocity. I would recommend product!
