Built and indoor batting cage in the basement and this machine is perfect. Had to figure out the math since I 'm using `` response time '' based on the distance instead of the actual speed dial. My basement is 40 ’ and had several “ higher level ” kids practice with it and verified real life game speed and the machine settings. Using the pitching machine balls only for about 8 hours a week with no issues at all. The self- feeder is also great so we can set it up and get close to the batter( next to the net) and really watch their swing without feeding the balls manually.

We use this with the xtender cage for our two sons who are avid little league baseball players. So far it has held up well. The neighbors all come to hit in the cage as well. We have the machine in a 24ft cage and it pitches the perfect speed for 11yr olds at about# 6- 7 on the dial. Our older neighbor plays for our local high school team and loves to hit off this machine as well. He hits at about# 8- 9. Which means we have more speed than we will ever need. Do n't be fooled by 50mph rating thinking it's too slow, the closer you put the machine the faster the speed feels. In a 24- 40 ft cage 50mph will feel closer to 90mph. We live in a cold winter climate so it will need to be put away during the winter, but set up is very easy. We purchased a BBQ grill cover to lay over the machine when not in use and it works out perfectly to protect it from the sun and sprinklers. Buy the yellow heater balls to use with this machine. Synthetic balls disintegrate when going through the wheel and leather are very expensive- but do work well.

Heater over delivered on the Heater Pro Curveball Pitching Machine, it's the single best single wheel real baseball pitching machine I have ever seen. Before delivery I was somewhat skeptical but I was impressed immediately with the construction and the easy of assembly, I fired the first ball out my front door 15 minutes after it was delivered. I will say this, speed 10, 50 MPH at 46- 50 feet is going to overpower most kids under 12, it seems more like a mid 80's pitch from that range so if you have a small cage 50 foot or smaller this is your ideal machine as the kids wo n't outgrow it for a few years. I 've shown this to several coaches and they all said the same that it throws much harder than what it advertises. Great machine and the price is fantastic.

It is a very well built, solid machine. Easy to put together& store. The boys are loving it. I believe it was not recommended for the age of 7 but it challenges him and he does well with it. A great starter model for my seven year old with plenty of higher speed settings to work toward. Let the machine get up to speed before turning on the feeding mechanism and you will have no problems. Unit is surprisingly accurate. Get a net to catch the missed pitches or you will be chasing balls all day.

We bough this machine a few years ago for my son when he was in little league. It helped him greatly with his swing. Since I have a bad elbow that prevents me from throwing accurately& could n't help him practice, we were able to use this for not only his hitting practice, but you can easily adjust it& use it for fielding pop- ups& grounders as well.( Great for pop- ups!) I used to film his swings& we could see it together& work on his mechanics. It tends to bog down a little in speed after a few dozen balls go through it but just give it more time# an extra couple of seconds) between balls. My only real complaint is that we went to use it after a few seasons& the motor quit working. At the time Dick's was n't carrying them in their stores anymore or I would have replaced it with another. Instead we bought another brand that is no way near as accurate or consistent as this machine was. I think that's what I liked the most about this machine. You could get it set up& it would be real consistent. Find the strike zone& you were good!

Can load it up and watch the kids swing. The rotating head is an added bonus. It allows us to use the machine for fielding practice as well. Had experience with the single wheel machines in the past, but in my mind, there is no comparison to this Heater. With that said, buy the Net somewhere else... not their speciality.

This is exactly what it says it is. Perfect pitching machine for the smaller golf ball sized balls. My son and I hit wiffle golf balls before every game to get hes eyes on the ball. This machine is perfect for that, indoor or out door. I live in the Cleveland area so its pretty windy and this pitches through it no problem. I enjoy hitting off it as well. The balls have a true flight to them also, you can really hit them far. As accuracy goes its really like any other pitching machine you have to dial it in and it will occasionally throw some bad ones. Which I think is fine, you dont get perfect pitches when you step in the box.

My 10- year- old can set this up himself! Very easy to set up/take down. This pitching machine really helped my son over the last 2 years with his hitting ability. This past season he struck out once with 22 at bats. The `` small ball '' helps your child track the ball all the way in. The downsides are machine only comes with 3 balls so make sure you buy extras. Also product says it has a number of settings but I truly do not see much if any difference between speeds/settings.

Bought for my 10 year old, speed is legit and setup was pretty easy even by myself. Have used it multiple times and really the only issue is even after front leg stakes are in the ground the accuracy is a little inconsistent. Some will be good and then they start to go high or drift left or right. As long as your ok with making adjustments it ’s a good product
