I really appreciate being able to have a well built and functional batting cage that isn ’ t a permanent fixture in our backyard. ... Bigger than I expected, but solid frame for a removal

I bought this to use in our backyard. The cage and netting are easy to set up and take down. I really appreciate being able to have a well built and functional batting cage that isn ’ t a permanent fixture in our backyard. When the season is over the cage comes down and the space in the yard can be used for other activities. Great product that is well built.

I don ’ t have a huge yard, and I wanted to get a portable cage for my son, who kept mashing balls into my neighbor ’s yard. I researched virtually every available option. Yes, there are cheaper models on the market, but do yourself a favor and spend more for the Skywalker cage. Easy assembly and came well packaged. Was up in under two hours with two adults doing the work net is sturdy enough for both me and my son to hit hard balls into it. I would buy some extra bungees, and definitely make sure that you pick up an L screen separately. Overall great product and I ’ m really happy with it.

It fits perfectly in my small back yard. One of my bast investment. It is much better thank hitting to 7x7 net. My son can now see how he is hitting, and adjust his swing to hot line drives off the tee, front toss and live pitching BP.

This cage is taller and wider than I expected. The frame seems sturdy and bigger than others on the market. The paint coating seems good, but I did notice some rust in the interior frame, but it was n't too bad. The netting is thinner than I expected, so we 'll see how many seasons it will last before needing replacement. There are other reviews on amazon about adding extra carabiners, tarp ties, and chains to stretch out the nets. I would recommend reading that write up.

I have to admit, I was skeptical when I saw in the instructions that we have to `` bend the poles '' into an arc. I was sure they would snap. I even called the 1800 number to question them, but they assured me, they would bend easily..... and they did. I took about 100 swings the first day, had a blast with it, and it held up well. Works nicely with the Heater pitching machine, which hooks perfectly to the cage. Do n't try to use it for a golf cage, though. I hit seven golf balls, and four of them went right through the netting.

Bought this item online and was excited to get it because of the price. I had read some mixed reviews before purchasing, but figured I could always take it back to the store if it did n't work out. The cage set up in about 45 minutes and seemed really stable. We also have a Heater baseball machine we use with it and it was fun to get inside and take swings which were even too fast for me. After about 2 months, we had a big storm come through and one of my fiberglass rods broke( after going back and reading the instructions I now realize I should have taken the cage down before the storm). Obviously I was upset because it 'd only been a few months, but I called the Heater customer service line and there was a girl who was extremely helpful. They sent me a replacement pole for free and I replaced the part in 5 minutes. I would definitely recommend this cage to my friends. It's worked real good since it's been up and the only time it had an issue was when I was lazy and did n't take it down when we had a storm. My son has improved a ton since we got it and I 'm very happy with the purchase.

Great batting cage. Not difficult to set up BUT do not pound the ground stakes in all the way until you are close to the final steps. Reason being, that you will have to remove them once the actual netting goes on the batting cage. We had originally pounded them all the way into the ground and it was a headache, not to mention all the time it took when we noticed the instructions told us to remove them so that they went through the netting. So just pound them in a bit and then you can pound them all the way in AFTER the netting is on. Other than that, installing it was very easy and so far it works very well!!

Bought this for my 9 yo Little Leaguer for backyard BP. Set up was not very easy, but not very difficult either. Support posts were well marked and easy to fit together. I made sure all support ropes between posts were measured precisely before putting support posts up, as would be difficult to adjust them later at 10- 12 feet high. Knot tying skills are helpful, although mine are middle of the road at best. Putting net over support structure was the tricky part, but I was doing this alone. Until you advance the net over the apex of the support posts it tends to slide right back off in the early going. I ended up using a large push broom to lift up the net and advance it over the structure while still standing on the ground. Much easier than climbing up and down a ladder. While the ground stakes work well, we ended up placing support lines from the end support posts to nearby tress to avoid having these lines running to the ground where people, or our two dogs, might trip over them and/or dislodge them. Cage has only been up about 2 weeks but has already weathered two wind and thunderstorms without loosening up. We have ordered a pitching machine to use with the cage which has not yet arrived, so thus far we have only used this 24 foot cage for fast toss BP, which works just fine. At this close range a solid protective screen is a must. I wanted the 30 foot Xtender cage but it would not fit in the space we had, so we knew this would be a bit tight. With a Heater pitching machine that stands outside the netting and even back a few feet, we will still be able to have a pitching distance of 20+ feet. We also put some twine through the netting at the batter's end of the cage to pull that wall back a bit and give more space to swing. Again, a little small but big enough, relatively sturdy once up. Will be interesting to see how netting holds up over time.

This cage is awesome for the at home baseball player! The cage is big enough to place an actual batters box and home plate. Plenty of time for the pitcher to react to a struck ball, but really needs an `` L '' screen. The only down side is the cage is actually 2- 24' cages and requires cutting the ends of the nets. I just tied the 2 ends up at the top and you can separate the cages later and have 2 smaller cages. Very easy to set- up and holds up well.

Bama Baller
My son who plays 10U travel ball and rec ball wanted this to improve his pitching. It works great, the thing I like a lot is that each colored square has its own `` sock '' so after balls are done you can see the targets he was throwing too when getting them back out. The product might look a lot to assemble at first, but after our 2Xs set up, take down, you can easily do it within 3 minutes. Very well made product, everything collapses and fits in a heavy duty nylon bag about 3 feet long. Easy to tote for an average adult.

I bought this about a month ago, daughter loves this net( 16U). Replaces an older Skillz net with a square target. Net is off better quality as is the entire frame. Pockets should last a long time. May take a few extra seconds to retrieve the balls due to the individual pockets and some ball bounce off the yellow and red if hit directly, but still consider this a 5 star!

This product is great if you have a pitcher who needs practice. The stitching is thick and holds together well. The velcro comes on and off with ease for the numbers. The numbers once hit the ball goes through it with no problem. Sometimes the velcro loosens is needed. It attaches with ease on all four corners. So far it is very nice quality product and has helped my daughter.

Fun to use. It ’s has instructions so use them when putting the net together. Rebounds pretty well. Don ’ t hit it too hard or it will bounce back on you. Otherwise I it is a product I would recommend buying.

My nephew is a baseball player and he was the first one to test it out. We both agreed that it is a product that definitely helps with throwing accuracy. He also likes that the ball can be thrown through the target or you can remove the target altogether. It was very easy to attach to the net. The sticking is thick and all together is a high quality product.

Material used to make this is very durable. There may be some fraying as time goes due to the velcro used but it still good. Will easily attach to a pitching net with the hooks. Straps are easily adjustable as well to fit different size nets.

Great product and very durable pitching Target attachment. Attaches to net with no issues. My son even throws a football at the target and it withstands a heavier ball. No issues with different levels of speed.
A baseball cage in your backyard provides a dedicated space for practicing batting and pitching skills without the need for a field. It allows players to train at their convenience, improving their swing mechanics and overall performance. Additionally, it can enhance family bonding time through shared practice sessions.
Backyard baseball cages are typically constructed from durable materials such as heavy-duty netting, steel frames, and weather-resistant fabrics. These materials ensure longevity and can withstand various weather conditions, making them suitable for outdoor use. The choice of materials can also affect the overall stability and safety of the cage.
The space required for a backyard baseball cage depends on the size of the cage and the type of training you plan to do. Generally, a minimum area of 10 feet in width and 20 feet in length is recommended to accommodate the cage and provide enough room for players to practice safely. It's also important to consider the height of the cage to allow for proper pitching and batting.
Yes, many backyard baseball cages are designed to accommodate both baseball and softball training. This versatility allows players of different skill levels and preferences to practice their hitting and pitching techniques effectively. When selecting a cage, ensure it has the appropriate dimensions and features to support both types of training.
When choosing a baseball cage for your backyard, consider factors such as size, material quality, ease of setup, and portability. Additionally, think about the intended use, whether for casual practice or more serious training, as this will influence the features you may need. Budget is also an important consideration, as prices can vary significantly based on these factors.
