My 9 year old son loves it. I got him the black bag with red letters and he was super excited that they match his Jordan 4 Breds. It also has a decent barrier between the compartments. He put a full bottle of water in the smaller compartment and it opened somehow and it got everywhere. But it barely let any water from the smaller to bigger part. He had his brand new school binder in there and it did n't get a drop on it. I emptied the bags placed it in front of a fan, and it was dry within an hour. I bought the Kanken mini with a chest strap for when I ’ m going on small adventures round the coast and generally need to do some climbing. I ’ m really surprised at how much it can hold and have been using it constantly! It ’s got enough room to carry my text books for uni with some space left for my water bottle. The side pockets aren ’ t very big but I ’ ve found they perfectly fit my iPhone 6 or a small glasses case. I definitely advise buying this bag if you are considering it!
