I have never seen another hoop with the trigger option for raising and lowering. It is superior to the crank. This is the only hoop I have seen it on making it the best one out there. The build was not easy, and took me around 3 hours and you definitely need 2 people for parts of it( i would suggest 2 strong people). The hoop is really heavy even without the sand/water in it, so make sure you are careful when bringing it up and down. Now that it's up and in place, love it. Great hoop.

I was not in a rush to set up the hoop, but it went rather smoothly contrary to some reviews. The combination of the paper instructions, the youtube video and the app made it rather clear. There were even a couple steps where I was not sure where a piece was supposed to go, but when you refer to an alternate instruction the specific location was made clear. So far it is working well.

Assembly was definitely not 90 minutes but family enjoyed putting this together as we all participated in it. Agree with another review that it is heavy once filled up and the fact the instructions pointed that out in the beginning. Would highly advise to have it where it will be used before you fill it up! It is heavy and difficult to move so I would n't try by yourself! We added a weather proof bag with another 100 pounds of sand to keep on top and it survived 60mph winds that came through where we live. I will say, I keep it lowered to 8 feet when it was windy and it kept it lower to the ground vs extended to 10 feet. Crank is easy to work and markings on pole are easy to read. Would buy again!

I have seen other ball return units but this one seems better constructed. A convenient feature is that it can be folded after use to save space, others do not have this feature. The net takes some force to apply, I think you need 2 people to get it on. Otherwise it is easy to assemble. Highly recommended basketball trainer.
