I ’ ve had my 800 for 9 months now, it ’s done nothing but impress me over and over. I was using a Whites V3i and Garrett ’s AT Pro before buying the equinox. I sold off both of those machines with no regrets and now use the equinox as my primary machine and have never done better. The battery life is great, about 13 hours on a charge. It ’s lightning fast recovery and processing speed are where this thing shines. Along with really good depth. I ’ ve took this machine to spots that I hunted heavy with my old machines and found things I missed or couldn ’ t hit with them, same outcome at spots that have been hunted by others before. I own a Minelab Equinox and bought the Vanquish 340 as a backup detector. I have owned it for a couple months now. The coil size makes it ideal for working school and park play areas. Performance is outstanding and the auto noise cancelling makes it a smooth quiet running detector. Target ID and Depth are right on.

The Minelab Vanquish 340 is an excellent entry level detector for a beginner. It is easy to operate, goes deep enough to find good older targets and has very accurate numerical target ID. It is extremely versatile and can detect at salt water beaches, open fields, low level trashy parks and playgrounds. It is very lightweight, well built and can be adjusted for use by anyone of any size from roughly 8 years old to an old guy like me that was looking for a light weight detector to swing. Great for the casual, vacation, weekend hobbyist. For the more experienced detector user, it can fill the part of a quick grab and go detector you can trust to find good targets up to 8 '' deep in any situation. Mine has already made some good finds and was easy to learn and use for my newbie grown kids. They found some nice targets first time out. I wish it had a pinpoint mode. Otherwise, I highly recommended it. Well worth the price.

I became a member of the Patriot Guard Riders after they escorted my 97 year old father to his graveside service. Daddy served as a Navy Signalman during World War II. One of the members told me to purchase a quality 3x5 foot flag and get a telescoping flag pole. He sent me the link to this flag pole. He told me it was a good price and looked like it would work well for me. Most Patriot Guard Riders travel by motorcycle and their flag pole collapses to fit into their saddle bags. Since I travel by car to join the Patriot Guard Riders when the group does a Flag Line, I just put my flag in the car. It holds up well when the wind blows and it is sturdy. Brief background: Playing pool volleyball at a friends house when I realized my ring was no longer on my hand. 12- 15 people panic searching everywhere with no luck for ~1 hour. I had left and drove to our local DSG to pick this up. Once we came back we tested it on a friends gold ring to get an idea of the low tone for precious metals vs high tone for other. The search area was relatively large with hundreds of high tone finds( aluminum, nails, yard debris) and then there was the distinctive low tone and ring find. It was in an area that we were n't initially looking( I really launched this ring when I hit the ball!). Overall very happy with the purchase, and now I will be switching to silicone band that check- it- out- im- married feeling.
