My nephew recently moved from Florida and has started playing hockey. He is working really hard on and off the ice to become a better player! He was so excited to open the Green Biscuit up as part of his gift. It's worked out great for his off the ice training.

I love Green Biscuits. They are the most authentic and useful training gear for off ice practice!

The `` snipe ''( dark green) is designed for shooting practice. The `` original ''( light green) is designed for quick- hands.( Your best bet for your first purchase is to get the combo pack, one of each, at a slight discount.) The snipe is still OK for stickhandling... a little like using a weighted puck. Scuffing is actually good, and it was designed to scuff which decreases friction just enough. You will get `` strong hands '' stick handling with a snipe. Shooting a snipe is where it really shines... it wo n't break even if you shoot it against a curb or brick wall. It feels as close to shooting a real puck on ice as you will ever get on dry land, and you do n't need fancy tiles or a shooting pad. The snipe is also great for playing catch, especially saucer passes.* Here is a good garage or basement drill: set up a bar- high target at one end to shoot at, a ground- level target at the other end for saucer passing, a piece of wood in the middle to shoot and pass over, 2 originals( one at each end), 3 snipes at the low target end, and( very important) put on some tunes. Starting at the low target end, stick handle the original in between the 3 snipes. Now shoot all the snipes at the bar- high target. Next stick handle the 2nd original around the 3 snipes, wherever they landed. Next saucer the 3 snipes back to the original end, over the piece of wood, at the ground- level target. And repeat. You will probably notice a difference on the ice after two short sessions.

I love the Green Biscuit Snipe. Green Biscuits are amazing off ice and the snipe allows you to shoot the puck without a high chance of cracking. The Original biscuit would explode if you nailed the post, but the snipe holds up well. After a bit, chips and cracks do occur, and eventually it will break. But hey, you are hitting a metal post with a plastic puck. Highly recommend this product.
