Something about this club is different from the predecessors. I ordered it with the Kai ’ Li blue shaft in a stiff flex. I cut the shaft down by about a half an inch so it matched my height and I changed the grip to a midsize golf pride MC +4 It ’s early on in the season however I have to say this club is aces. I ’ ve had the Producers as well which are also excellent clubs however I really like the look of this Driver. I also went from 10. 5° down to 9° and I ’ m actually hitting the ball higher, and about 10 yards longer. I look forward to the warmer weather to see how the golf ball reacts under normal conditions but as for performance in cold weather, I have zero complaints.

I got fitted for this after playing G425. I originally got fit for a 50g stiff red Denali, cut down a half inch with a 9 degree head. But when I got it felt different than fitting, too stiff, hard to launch. Returned and ordered a Calloway quantum with red denali, after after waiting just under 7 weeks called Callloway and found out it would be another 5 weeks at least, I could n't take it, went back and my guy at Dick's was very understanding and said that was unacceptable, he knows I play everyday. Went back to G440 but this time I used my own specs, 60g regular flex, 10. 5 head. The 60g is slightly stiffer than 50g regular like an R+, and the head weight went from D3 to D4 which it states on Ping website, and kept standard length which for that shaft is 45. 5. I love it, can launch at will but still keep it down if I want or need to and the head weight gives me a much better feel. I 've been playing a cut down driver for 10 years for control, head always felt light. This feels natural and great and the length is n't a problem either, finding strike as well or better than cut down, with extra length. Saw a great youtube video on this subject where the guy gripped down an inch then 2 inches then cut an inch and cut 2 inches, very eye opening. Main points were his control did n't get any better as it got shorter and the feel changed for the worse. And he pointed out you 're going against the manufactures design when you cut it. Not saying you should n't cut down but not as straight forward as I thought. Bottom line really like this club and gained some distance not because of new club head or engineering, although I think the forgiveness is higher, but from shaft length. The 60g shaft is really stable which if I am losing speed from extra weight is made up for with stability and better strike.

Did a fitting and liked it but that day my swing was a bit off. Bought it and practiced with it in a simulator for a few days. It's very easy to hit straight and get the clubface closed. Seems like it would be well suited to slow swing speeds because it's light but I struggle to get much distance from it. I ca n't give it less than 5 stars because it's a great fairway finder and I know it's capable of good distance. But I may need something a tad heavier in the head to give it some power.

My wife bought me the new Qi35 Standard driver, but I went in to Golf Galaxy to hit all 3 models to see which fit my game the best. They set me up with the same shaft in each of the drivers and let me hit into the launch monitors until I had made my decision. I have only played one round since I purchased on February 1st. Replaced a Ping G400 LST driver. First impression was very good as ball seemed to jump off the face. I 'm 76 years old and swing speed is not as good as when I was younger, however, I still swing at 90+ mph and had no trouble getting ball in the air. My dispersion was middle left with slight draw. I just demoed the new GTS drivers. I must say that all three felt extremely good at impact. However, I had the most success with the GTS2. I had my longest carries and furthest overall distances with the GTS2 for my swing speed of around 95 MPH. The spin was between 2000- 2700, which is optical for me. My moderate swing speed did not require the low spin options of GTS3 or GTS4, although they both felt great, they were not as long as the GTS2 for my swing speed. I put my order in today. It ’s been longer and more accurate than my TSI2. On average it ’s about 15 yards longer due to lower spin and my longest drives are about 25- 30 yards farther than my longest drives with the TSI2.

I ’ ve been using Ping drivers for years as they are always among the best. This G430 Max 10K is no exception and what I believe is their best driver to date. I ’ ve seen a marginal increase in yardage but where it really shines is the forgiveness. It doesn ’ t penalize a miss hit and still seems to find the fairway with little loss of yardage. This driver would be hard to beat for forgiveness and wouldn ’ t be too far behind the best in distance, you won ’ t be disappointed!

This thing is a high launching bomber. I tried the Elyte triple diamond and I just wasn ’ t quite good enough to play it consistently. The Elyte TD Max launches considerably higher and wants to go straight with a baby fade at the end. I tried multiple drivers from the big four this year and this one gives me the best overall performance. I love the sound this thing makes!

Best driver that I ’ ve owned hands down! I was a Taylormade loyalist for years going all the way back to the bubble shaft LOL. Switched to the Callaway AI Smoke Triple Diamond Max last year. It was a great club, but the Elyte version is simply better. My SS is only about 97 or 98 right now. I ’ m hitting this thing consistently over 260 on a good strike with 149 mph ball speed. I switched from the MMT 55g reg flex to the Tensei AV series blue 55g stiff flex. I ’ m even getting 250+ out of off center strikes( launch monitor validated). I ’ m glad that I took advantage of the 50% trade in bonus. Consistent forgiveness, straight,& long. What more could you ask for?

The elyte*** max driver has definitely flew under the radar unlike last year's*** max but the smoke was the first edition so of course there was more attention. The elyte*** max is a monster on toe strikes, producing long playable shots while overall being super forgiving, easy to hit straight and does not sit open. Spin and launch numbers are fantastic and do exactly what is claimed. If you would put the core model, the X and triple diamond together you come out with this beast. Hopefully more people give this a try, just a beauty to look down on at address. This is a really good driver from Callaway!

I just got this less than a week ago and here are my observations. I 'm replacing a standard Elyte 10. 5 driver. I love the way this feels. I 'm getting more draw shots than with Elyte. I was around 65% fairway and equal amounts both left and right.( do n't judge- lol) With the TD Max, I 've managed around 60% fairway and 33% going left of fairway. Yes, this is from fewer shots versus over 500 with the standard Elyte, but I certainly saw some bias left. I would expect that. What was also quickly apparent was that I picked up 10 yards on average with the TD Max over the Elyte. The TD Max is forgiving enough and the best hits are being rewarded with solid distance gains. I look forward to continuing the journey with the TD Max and finding out what other gains I 'll see.

Titleist yet again exceeds on this driver. I 'm a 15. 4 HCP with a driver swing speed avg of 85. This felt amazing off the face. The performance I received was absolutely awesome! I could work my typical shot which is a fade and I could tell there was a difference from my old driver. The stock shaft is pretty good but I have AV orange R Shaft and it's an amazing pairing. I would definitely recommend this driver to someone who does have a driver swing speed below 90mph

I ’ m really happy with the Taylormade Qi4D, after a fitting and trying several different drivers and shafts, the Qi4D with a blue S flex works best for me. I ’ m 67 years old, 6 ’ 1 ” 210lbs. Swing speed between 94- 98. I ’ ve gained 10- 15 yards and a much tighter dispersion with the Qi4D( was using the Qi35, RBZ before that). Get fitted!!! It gets you into the right equipment!!

Purchased this Driver as I was fitted for it a few weeks ago. No problem with the looks, it really looks great at address. Cover is pretty tough as well. My only gripe was I was n't expecting to hit the very first ball and it cause a bad knick and bubble on the face. I also was not aware that since the Taylormade Stealth's appearance in the world, that all models since then has a film of some sort on the face of each Driver. Did it affect the ball trajectory? I say no but it was really disappointing for it to happen on the very first ball? With all of that said, I did return it to Dicks Sporting Goods and they sent it back to Taylormade and it looks like I 'll receive a new one. Only time will tell if it happens again. For those really looking at any Taylormade Driver, just be aware of the film like substance on the face.

This is hands down the best driver I have ever hit. When I hit it on the screws( old guy talk) it goes for miles. Even off center hits, hi- toe in particular, still gets way out there.
