This is 1st larger or oversized putter grip I have ever tried. I like the way it looks and feels. I wanted an Odyssey since I have an Odyssey putter. I did n't buy it thinking of game improvement, I 've always been a fairly average putter. Too many other issues to focus on to worry about my putting. Or so I thought. I have been putting better than I have ever putted before since going to an oversized grip. I noticed it at first and chalked it up to just a good round of golf. Then I realized that I was making longer putts with ease and next to never 3 putting. I putt the ball right on the line I 'm setting up to and ca n't believe how consistent I putt now. This is after a lot of rounds. I used an old putter with a smaller grip to practice one day and I was awful. I 'm replacing that grip immediately. I absolutely recommend this grip.

True story. I bought this putter without ever having so much as picked one up. It was delivered Tuesday. I took it to Lake Forest Golf& Practice Center on Wednesday to test it out on their practice green. The green was closed that evening- for their `` LFG Masters Putting Contest ''. Still wanting to try it, I entered the contest. I got to the first `` hole '', took the cover off the putter and found the plastic wrap still on the putter head. So, I peeled that off and started putting. Like. A. Boss. Wound up winning the tournament and a special Masters putter cover( unfortunately it is for a blade putter). I look forward to a long relationship with this S2S Jailbird Cruiser. I only hope it continues to do what it did, which was get in the hole. It feels great and the most important feature I found was that putts went where I expected, both in direction and in distance. When any golfer puts that together with their ability to accurately read greens and breaks, they 'll be deadly. Here's to a long, healthy relationship with my new Square 2 Square. For reference, it replaced a 12+ year old 2- Ball Backstryke putter for which I just seemed to lose touch and feel.

I bought this putter two weeks ago, and it ’s very effective. However, I would ’ ve given it a five- star rating if it had a better grip. The Odyssey grip I got was poor, so I replaced it with a SuperStroke grip. I suggest offering an arm lock grip for this putter, as the shaft lean of The Jailbirds Cruiser square- to- square putters may require it.

Great putter. Feels really stable. I really liked the look and feel of the regular S2S# 7, but at 6' 4 '', I needed a 36 '' or 36. 5 '' putter. The best thing about this putter compared to other zero torque is easily the face insert. The entire thing feels soft yet springy-- like the entire thing is a sweet spot. The fitter( 2nd Swing) said I did n't get enough forward press, but the nice thing about the Odyssey is that they could adjust the loft and lie at the fitter. Apparently you ca n't do that with many other zero torque. I 've been putting on my putting sim and after just 4 or 5 sessions, I know it's keeping my face square since my face angle at impact have improved. I 'm sure that will translate to more 5- 15 footers made where I know I previously struggled. This putter is worth a try, but definitely get fit. The jailbird is theoretically more stable but I just could n't line it up-- something about the shape and alignment of the# 7 suited my eye better. I 'm giving it a 5 overall, but if I had to ding it, it would definitely be on the grip. The feel is fine, but it does n't seem terribly durable. I 'd also like to see Odyssey make a grip with built in press since it's hard for me to put the 3- 4 degrees of press on my own.

Your Very Average Golfer
Bought this recently, upgrading from my Odyssey Versa 2 Ball that I ’ ve used for many years. Wanted to get into the Broomstick game, without the high prices from other companies plus, I ’ ve always used Odyssey. This broomstick putter helps my wrist movement and flick significantly. It does take getting used to, different grip styles and stand height will vary person to person. I ’ m 5 ’ 10 ” and the putter comes up to mid chest, so I ’ m standing more straight and less hunched than other broomstick putters I see in videos. I feel it should be 2- 3 ” shorter for my height, but I ’ m finding overall control and speed a significant increase over traditional putting for me.
