I got a few of these for my paddles. I am redoing my gear room, hanging kayaks on wall. I got these holders to not mount on kayaks, as who wants to put holes in boats? I got them to screw into the rafters to clip my sets of paddles to the ceiling. The end tips close a tad behind the paddle, keeping it secure and can hang upside down. Tho I am still in process of redoing room, I have not hung up paddles yet, but IT WILL without a doubt work. If you are a gear junkie like me, you can imagine every amount of space possible is needed for storage.

These are quite good. The hook buckle is easy to engage, and unlike plastic buckles, is unlikely to break. Adjusting the straps is equally simple, and it's possible to put a lot of force into them to really cinch them down. They release easily when you want them to, even when wet, but hold tight otherwise. I 've started using them to replace strap systems on other things. Do n't let Mark's `` weighty '' opinion keep you from these straps. The guy has n't even touched them! I agree that the weight should be provided by the manufacturer, so I 'll give Mark's review two stars.

I garden, hunt, fish, camp and hike. To do any of the 4 things listed, I have to control the mosquitos. I would much prefer a Thermacell over any spray repellent. I read a negative review and had to respond. I wear my Thermacell on my belt and love it. It ’s wonderful to not have to cover my body in bug spray when enjoying the activilisted above!!!!
