I have been wearing the Devotion X for a few years now, but, as shoes with cushiony midsoles do n't maintain support for very long, and the turnover rate is high, I have been looking for a shoe that is, at least, more environmentally friendly. While the eco creds on this shoe are not high, they are, at least, a step in the right direction. They seem to fit and perform just as well as the Devotion X, so I 'm happy with them. These have become one of my favorite Adidas running shoes now- that means a lot because I have every Adidas performance line running shoes. I just got these last week and put in about 10 miles. I like the previous Rise 2, and this one is better in terms of comfort and shock absorption. The previous version was a bit firm but had a good energy return. I prefer Rise 3 much better as a long run and daily trainer companion.

But with this recent Nike design, Vomero, well, Im now on my 3rd pair. About the fit: not too high of a sole but lots of bounce, plus this shoes hold up really well. My feet are med/narrow, and I have the dreaded second long toe, which makes shoe fit even harder. Often a shoe is either not long enough or too wide... This is my third pair of Teva sandals and, I only bought these because I loved my last one so much, and wanted to experiment with color this time. So this is actually my first time buying this specific model. First impression out of the box... The colors are beautiful and vibrant! I noticed padded straps for comfort! So, check mark for looking cute and another check mark for suspecting these will be great for long wear! The first try on... Holy cushion! I list my last Teva 's were great? They are! But these are superior in their comfort and cushioning! Sizing... I 'm typically a pretty true 7. 5 with a fairly narrow heel to midfoot, though I need a wider toe box due to the shape and alignment of my upper foot and toes. Tevas in size 8 always work great for me, and these are no exception( half sizes are n't available). If I 'm being really picky, if they could be like. 25 size smaller, they 'd be perfect but I guess that allows for expansions in the foot due to temperature, weight, fluid, etc so really no complaints. The one part that took some adjusting was finding just the right spot for the heel strap.. I typically do n't adjust that one very much, but on these sandals, I tightened them because there is what I 'll call a heel cradle at the back of the sandal. So keeping the strap tight simply makes the sandal feel very secure against my heel. Other info... These are super comfy right out of the box and I comfortably wore them for an estimated 3 to 5 miles the first wear. Nobody likes to talk about bunions, but I have one and these sandals are very accommodating without inducing pain in that area. This is subjective but, I think they look really cute with different styles of jeans, as well as short and skirts!

I really love these shoes right off the bat. I was nervous because I read reviews on past versions of this shoe that they run tight-& smallish so I ordered these in a half size bigger and they fit perfect. The sole is very cushy, and the design provides a lot of support on the sides and on top which I appreciate for lifting. My feet are more narrow and I think someone with wider feet might not do well with this style- the sides are stiff for support which could hurt people ’s feet. Overall super solid choice for me- plan to use for running and lifting, might buy another pair for nursing.
