If you could only bring one bait fishing with you, what would it be? For me it would be the classic Culprit worm. I 've caught more bass on this lure than any other bar none. Culprit plastics are my goto for big bass all over the US. No other brand brings confidence like Culprit.

The Zoom ol monsters are my soft plastic of choice. The 10 1/2 '' worm will get the bass' attention. They are very durable and come in a good assortment of colors. My most productive have been: black shad, red shad and California 420. I love texas rigging these worms and practically fishing anywhere on the lake. From fallen timber to points to deep water structure, these are a sure bet

Calsdadhunting
This is the soft bait I put on when nothing else seems to work. Good for Texas rigging, but great for drop shotting, especially wacky rigged. The only issue is that if you rig them with an o- ring, the bass will occasionally pull them out of the o- ring( even with the small o- rings). The bass grab them and won ’ t let go!

I 've been cleaning up on big bass with these lately. Watermelon slice color. Fished weightless, Texposed on a 3/0 Texposer hook. Cast to likely cover, let it sink and watch the line. Better action than Yamamoto Senkos, less expensive, more durable... great wacky rigged, too

I love using the zoom mag speed worm. It has a great action that I can use to buzz it across the top, hit the middle of the water column with a slower retrieve, or let it sink and slow roll it on the bottom. Whatever I need it for it is a constant in my tackle box!

My go to for big fish. The magnum size triggers fish from larger fish. The vibe tail makes this bait come alive and can used as a swimming worm. It can also be fished on top the water and the tail makes a buzzing sound and sends of multiple ripples
5
Lunker Larry
A great grassy open water bait. Can be retrieved at various speeds. Can also be used as a topwater bait.

Overall this worm is by far the go to worm, dark worm in winter and lite color in summer. For some reason the 6 '' works the best.

Zoom speed worms are the hottest bait on my local lake. I get a lot of bites on the initial fall. The nice option of this bait is that it also catches fish on the retrieve, especially on the top. My biggest bass ever, a 10- 12, caught on a June bug color on top.

5
Having little experience, my 8 year old wacky rigged the trout worm with a spilt shot and cast in stream in Tennessee himself. Immediately began catching fish, worked so well, I could n't fish for constantly taking nice rainbows off for both my kids fishing with the pink 3 '' worms.
5
Hawkeye203
I have used these in orange peel before, as well as regular orange, pink and green. Orange peel works the best, I think due to the added sparkle. These power worms will always be a part of my go to tackle. I have caught many Yough river rainbows with these.
5
Kannacker
I use these every year and they out fish any other power bait product I have ever used. Most people really do not know how to rig the worm or present it to the trout. I fish right next to people that are using night crawlers& meal worms and I out fish them. Presentation and the right choice of color. Sometimes Pink, Red other times Orange and sometimes only the green is working for me. Try them I think you will like them.
5
AlexGB
Doesn ’ t look like much but works way better than powerbait. Stays on your hook fish after fish! Just caught 6 trout on the same “ worm ”. My new fav.

5
MinorPentatonicAddict
T- rig with 1/4- 3/8 oz tungsten bullet weight and a 4/0- 5/0 off set worm hook. You can use a 1/16- 1/8 oz bullet weight if you are using spinning gear. Cast to some cover and let it set on the bottom for a stretch with occasional twitches. Hits most often occur as the worm is falling to the bottom... but I have also had hits shortly after the worm hits the bottom and is just setting there. Stitch it along the bottom by lifting and dropping your rod tip 6 '' or so. Slowly works best, but the bass will tell you what they want. Do n't be afraid to tie on a big worm when you are fishing for largemouth bass! I 've had bass< 1 lb hit this worm like a train. I keep my colors simple... black and green pumpkin are all you need. Those 2 work in all conditions. A great worm by Zoom!!
5
Deltona Dave
These worms are kinda skinny and at 9. 5 '' long they catch a lot of smaller bass

Guarantee to catch surf perch and even corbina and halibut during the season.

MacAttack
When you 've tried all the other colors- you can sometimes get the bite going again with these `` tan '' colored pieces. A lift- and- fall retrieve usually works for me and I just got back from Moonstone Beach in Cambria, CA where I scored 2. 5 puund Barred Surf Perch with this bait. They 're pricy- but worth it. Forget about the pouch once you 've open it- put the sandworms in a glass jar to keep them from dying out. BTW- the `` Recharge Juice '' they sell is worthless- so save the original packing liquid with great care.

The fish go crazy for it!!! I 've tried all kids of artificial bait and this is by far the best!
Red worm bait is highly effective for attracting a variety of fish species due to its natural scent and movement in the water. It mimics the appearance of natural prey, making it an appealing choice for anglers. Additionally, red worms are versatile and can be used in different fishing techniques, enhancing your chances of a successful catch.
Red worm bait is popular among anglers for targeting species such as bass, catfish, and panfish. Its effectiveness in freshwater environments makes it a go-to option for many fishing enthusiasts. The bait's natural appeal can entice fish that are otherwise difficult to catch with other types of bait.
For optimal results, red worm bait should be rigged in a way that allows it to move naturally in the water. Techniques such as Texas rigging or using a jig head can enhance its action and make it more enticing to fish. Experimenting with different presentations can help determine what works best in specific fishing conditions.
Red worm bait tends to be most effective in warmer months when fish are more active and feeding aggressively. It performs well in both shallow and deeper waters, especially around structures like rocks or vegetation where fish like to hide. Understanding the local fishing conditions can help you choose the right time and place to use red worm bait.
When selecting red worm bait, look for features such as durability, realistic texture, and a strong scent. Quality bait should be able to withstand multiple catches without falling apart. Additionally, a lifelike appearance can enhance its effectiveness, making it more appealing to fish.
