Like it so far- we have a Rav 4 Adventure and had to put the rack in the middle which makes it a little harder to get the Kayaks on the roof. It might have been better if we bought two separate units so they could be closer to the side of the Rav. Also with the support straight up, the bigger Kayak needs to be held until you get the first strap on it. All that said, the rack seem strong and the Kayaks rode well.

I have the Malone AirFlow towers and rails and the BigFoot Pro pads are a great accessory to get the canoe/kayak up off the vehicle roof. Quality construction. I just wish there was a way to lock them to the crossrails.

Installed these on my expedition to use with my 14 foot canoe with my Reese one man loader. They were easy to install and keeps my canoe solidly in place going freeway speeds. Instructions on how to use tie- down straps were very helpful and the whole system works great.

This was a cinch to use straight out of the box. I had to drive to the Boundary Waters at high speeds and then on some back country roads. The canoe was solidly placed with the attached belly straps. I had to use a front anchor strap of my own to keep it centered. I would be the only negative I had. Sure beats the foam pads I 've been using for the last few years. It a nice alternative to buying a Thule rack for hundreds more.

Overall, a great way to store your canoe on your vehicle's cross bars. Felt like the price was about triple for what you actually get in terms of plastic braces, 2 straps, and screws. However, it's a well- built product that should last. Have used it twice thus far for our canoe... have a good hang of it now... could probably reinstall/take- down in 10 minutes tops.

I placed this on a 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited with factory crossbars. These worked great for holding a 16 foot canoe. Never moved and protected the vehicle. I would give it five stars if there was a way to lock the mounts to the car( None of the other canoe carrier companies had locks either. ie thule, Yakima) It would be nice if you did not have to undo all the screws each time you removed the mount from the car, but not a big deal. I would recommend this and I would buy it again.

I like that it had the felt padding in the rear and rubber pad for the front feet. The felt makes it easy to slide my kayak and the rubber help keep it in place.

Until about 2 weeks ago, I had to do a clean- and- jerk type move to hoist my 70 lb. Hobie Revo 13 on and off the roof of my Corolla. Always 1 lift away from an injury to a 60 year old back, till now! I should have gotten this system a couple of years ago.

[ I got this so that I would have an easier time loading and unloading my kayak onto my car by myself. It's definitely much easier than the J hook style of rack. It feels very sturdy and I 've never had any trouble with anything shifting during long drives. The front pads tend to flip backwards during loading the kayak sometimes, which makes you have to do a little maneuvering with the boat to get them to flip back the right way. Otherwise, its great!

Purchased 2 sets of the Hull- a- port for our Wrangler JK. Used the the Jeep brand cross bars and the Thule J hooks fit perfectly. Very easy to put on and take off the cross bars. Our kayaks fit perfectly on the Hulu- a- ports and are very secure. We paid extra for the best and we are not disappointed…would highly recommend and would buy them again.

I have 3 of these carriers. They are solid, sturdy add- ons to my roof rack. One of my kayaks is an unwieldy 72 lb tandem. The design of the rack helps us slide it up on top and into the carrier.

I Bought these racks for a 10 Hour trip to North Carolina. these things are absolutely rock steady. The steel Straps that attach to your cross bars do n't slip a millimeter during transit. also the strap guide on the top bar of these racks are great so you can set the strap and fold it up without having to climb up on the car to do so. Very pricey as far as kayak racks go but worth every penny in piece of mind.

My daughter wanted a kayak, but I did n't want to buy a roof rack for my SUV. I saw these inflatable devices on the shelf and did some research. The online reviews were mostly positive. A few people said they blew out the air bladders with over loading and few others warned that sitting in the hot sun while under load might cause them to fail. Another review mentioned a modification after the bladder failed where the guy put PVC pipes wrapped in pool noodles into the space where the bladder would go. So, I figured that I could try these out and if I popped them, I 'll try the pool noodle trick and still be spending less than rails, bars, and installation on my car. My daughter's kayak sits nicely on this rack. I have also used them to move some long lumber and a piece of large, but lightweight furniture. The straps are very secure but I might buy some ratcheting straps for extra security on the freeway. If you have a car with no roof rack and you do n't want to install one just to carry some light watercraft or the occasional 12- 16' piece of lumber from the hardware store, this is the way to go.

This is one of my better purchases lately. It does everything it says it does. I was a little hesitant but I tried it and i 'm so happy I did. My kayak is so secure on top of my Honda CRV using the Malone Inflatable roof racks. So easy to put on and take down.

I have had a pair of these for years. Tough as nails and the D rings along the top are genius. I 've carried everything on them including hang glider wings. Do n't believe the negative naysayers. These are great!

I have wanted to buy a small kayak for quite some time, but I have a small car with no rack support. I was pleased to find out about the Handirack system. It is great! Considering this is the first time I have used anything like this, I was happy to find that it was as easy to use as my research had suggested. I got my kayak and am now able to enjoy the fun I 've always wanted! I highly recommend it!

I bought this roof rack to help transport my 13. 5 ft kayak and my daughter's 6ft kayak. Before I had just mine and transported it with cheap styrofoam blocks that worked, but made me very nervous while driving. But once I needed to transport 2, I did n't trust the styrofoam ones. This purchase is exactly what I needed! Easy to install, very sturdy, and helped transport both kayaks with no problem what so ever! Very happy with my purchase.

Did n't want to spend for the big name roof racks. Bought this for my Nissan Sentra. Easy to install and adjust. Paired with a soft cargo topper bag and 1500 miles on I- 95 at highway speeds and rain with zero issues. No rattles, whistles or slippage. Perfect for the occasional uses i will have. A bargain.

These are probably the best universal type roof racks you will be able to find. I shopped extensively for racks that would be able to stand up to transporting a heavy kayak over thousands of miles. Other brand name racks like Thule or Yakima would have cost 4 to 5 times the cost of these racks. These were the only ones that seemed to be able to perform just as well as the higher priced options. We used these on a 2016 Honda CRV( does not have a rain gutter or lip to catch other types of attachment systems) to transport the kayak from NY to Florida through a major southern blizzard with these racks on the car. The racks and kayak did not budge an inch. The ratchets seemed to work fine. I cinched them up as tightly as possible and then tied a half hitch as insurance. We kept the kayak on the rack with some budget ratchet tie downs from Harbor Freight. The fact that the tie downs for the rack do go through the interior of the car may put some people off but this also make the racks very secure. I also want to add that these did not mar the finish or cause any scratches or dents to the vehicle. I highly recommend these if you are having difficulty trying to find racks that work with your vehicle.

Bought these for my new kayak. I 've never used a J- Style before. These were super easy to install and the directions were helpful. When loading the kayak, it was fast and easy. For not having used a rack or loaded a kayak, these worked great. I love that the racks fold down, it was worth the additional money.

Easy to install! Overall a great product! Only issues I am having is strapping which is more me probably! Sometimes the strap will not slide that easy! Plus my vehicle is some taller than most. I bought two sets hoping to put a third kayak in the middle with no luck!

Great product. Well- made. Good instructions. Easy to install and use. The only problem I have is with the second one I bought. The rails on a Toyota Sienna are not wide enough for both sets to open fully and lock. Still working on a solution.

I have been transporting my Kayak for almost 20 years and have had various Kayak specific carriers. These are great carriers and very stable. It only took me 15 minutes to install the first time, the next time it took about 8 minutes. I remove them between trips and so far it has been really easy. Highly recommended, esp if you have a tall vehicle or larger size Kayak, as the ramps on the front of each carrier really come in handy to prevent contact with your vehicle, or in my case, my wife's baby!! `` Dont you scratch my car! '':)

I have been wanting this kayak rack for a long time and finally bit the bullet and ordered it. I am so happy that I did! This is a great kayak rack! I am a 5 ’ 3 ” woman and I can load my kayak on top of my compact SUV by myself and be ready to roll in about 20 minutes. The dock grip holds my kayak so well that I don ’ t feel I need to over tighten the cam straps, which is something I felt I had to do with other racks.

This Kayak rack is great. It is easy to install and easy to load. Safe and effective. When I am hauling just a few miles at 45 mph I skipped the bow and tail lines and it was just fine. When I haul on the highway I will strap is down fully. Liked this product enough I ordered a second one!

My Folbot kayak is my family's favorite, but until I bought the SeaWing Stinger getting it on the van was a struggle and my wife was always nervous during the trip. Now I can load it by myself. It looks secure, is secure and no wind noise. the family is very happy.

Unfortunately, I could n't use this system because unlike the picture, the rear piece does not extend over the back of my vehicle because I have to locate the cross rails more forward. Also, my kayak is too heavy for me to lift onto the piece and I had to figure out a difference way to get it on top of my SUV. For most people, though, it's a good system and the price was very reasonable

Bought the 50 '' rails for my 2015 Rogue and using the included spacers, they are a perfect fit. Rails feel very tight and secure. Steal bars are strong and rubber coating does n't scratch up my kayak( like the first set of cheaper rails I bought that had to be returned for that reason). Easy to install and remove with the turn of the supplied Allen wrench. Notice a slight `` hum '' from the wind Without the kayak- after 45 mph, however No Sound at all With the kayak strapped on the rails- getting just over 60mph. Theft resistant Locks completely detach from the bracket so keep them close by. If you are constantly removing and installing, I would suggest marking guide lines near the brackets so you do n't waste time centering the rails over the car each time. Great quality and gets the job done.
