[ I always pack some 550 with a carabiner already attached. I like the small light weight carabiner because I can quickly setup a ridge line only having to tie one knot. So this just made sense for me. It is hard to find the color black locally so that's a win too.

I took a chance buying a 100 foot coil of this `` extra heavy duty1100 paracord. Seemed pricey, but looks and feels sturdy. The package describes this as 100% nylon with 16 inner strands. There is no WLL or any other strength specification listed anywhere on the package. I have successfully used this line to hold heavy cargo tarps on truck and trailer, as well as to tie down and secure tools and gear. This line is easy to work, knot and untie as lighter 550 cord. Though made in China, hopefully this will serve me well.
