This is the right net for landing fish. It is especially good for catch and release trout. Your fish will not get hurt and the flies and lures will not get entangled in the net. If you do a lot of catch and release with trout, you will not be disappointed. Great net.

Not hard to build a successful net. This one seems to be of good quality so far.

5 Trout23
This net was exactly what I was looking for. I went to the fish store and their nets where upwards of$ 100. This is pretty much the same thing but for much less. It works. The long bungee cord is nice in the water because you do n't need to take it off to use it.

Performs well. Hooks do n't stick to rubber net.

5 Green Eagle 72
My old net was a cotton type net which caused a lot of problems releasing the trout while fly fishing. This should solve my problem of the tangles that occurred with the flies getting hung up and should be better on the release of the fish as well. If you are fishing for big lake trout it would probably need to be bigger but for our trips to the San Juan River it will be very functional and make my trips much more enjoyable and a quicker trip back to the water for the trout as well. Good product, well made and classic looking.

Frequently Asked Questions For Rubber Coated Landing Nets

Rubber coated landing nets offer several advantages for anglers. The rubber material is gentle on fish, reducing the risk of injury and helping to preserve their protective slime coating. Additionally, rubber nets are less likely to snag hooks, making it easier to release fish without causing harm.

Choosing the right size of rubber coated landing net depends on the type of fish you are targeting and the fishing environment. For larger species or fishing in open waters, a larger net may be necessary to ensure a safe catch. Conversely, smaller nets are suitable for freshwater fishing or targeting smaller fish.

Yes, rubber coated landing nets are generally more durable than traditional nylon or mesh nets. The rubber material is resistant to wear and tear, and it does not absorb water, which helps prevent mold and mildew. This durability makes rubber nets a long-lasting option for avid anglers.

Rubber coated landing nets can be used in saltwater fishing, but it's important to choose a net that is specifically designed for saltwater use. These nets are often constructed with materials that resist corrosion and are suitable for the harsh conditions of saltwater environments.

When selecting a rubber coated landing net, consider features such as the net's size, handle length, and hoop shape. A telescoping handle can provide versatility for reaching fish in various situations, while a larger hoop can accommodate bigger catches. Additionally, look for nets with a lightweight design for ease of use.
