It was extremely hot and humid( sweat rolling down the legs and into my shoes), but the socks prevented hotspots and blisters. These socks are warm even without the heat on. I use them hunting and only have needed the heat on in the very cold hours in the morning and evening In Wisconsin, and the low setting has been enough.
