Really warm underlayer. Used to ski on freezing temp and this plus good ski jacket was enough… even when it was snowing… The only thing is that it feels way different then the 2. 0 shirt. I also have one of that and the 3. 0 is more stiff and feels smaller. Specially in the neck and chest.

I purchased this Base Layer 3 shirt when I visited our local outlet store to place an order for another Under Armour shirt I liked. This shirt is thicker than a normal under layer shirt but is still comfortable if you wanted to wear additional layers. The cut of the shirt is super nice you might not want to hide it, though! It has thumb hole openings which are nice. I wore it alone several times since I bought it and was pleased at how well it kept me warm. I liked it so much I went to get a second one. They had sold out of the 3s but I snagged a 2 at least! My only negative comment would be it looks wrinkled when you remove it from the dryer. I only air dried it so maybe some heat might have gotten the wrinkles out. It's black so not that noticeable. Great shirt. I tried to get a 2nd one so obviously am happy with my purchase!

[ This is my go- to base layer for skiing( or any other outdoor cardio activity... if I ever did one). It's form fitting and has great mobility. I always use merino fabric as my base layer since it's' breathable and odor- resistant. This top kept me warm but not overheated in 30 degree weather with a down ski jacket. Reviewing this from the POV of an end user& tech fabric geek. Love the materials of the MH AirMesh. Already have the hoody; just bought the crew. Agree w/ those who say it's very warm when at standstill or w/ a wind layer over top, yet while moving or with wind and no wind layer it's like being naked. To me that says the fabric is functioning precisely how a base layer shoulder. Only con is hypothetical: delicate fabric. I 've had no issues with snags, pilling, abrasion, etc. But I would n't be surprised were I to, given the softness of the fibers and the openness of the fabric they 're arranged into. Cut/fit are unremarkable w/ exception of the somewhat high neck hole and the different accent fabric used there. Packs tiny, resilient fibers bounce back into shape immediately. Most comparable to the Patagonia Cap Air wool base layer, minus the itchiness/roughness and the ultra premium price point. Also, like Polartec Power Stretch pro, but much lighter and more airy fabric, fwiw.

In the first image, it is very light and breathable, but the fibers inside seem to be easily lost, and there are some fibers in the hand after a little scratch. I am 167cm tall and my bust is 98cm, so I wear a size M which is very comfortable. I bought 2 at the same time, for me it should be good for sweating a lot without losing warmth. I tried wearing it the other way around and it was a different feeling, like a normal sweatshirt. A very special piece of clothing, worth trying. When washing, do n't turn it around, it's better to put it in a laundry bag

It's a great base layer and good for cool/cold weather chillin'. Be aware that there is zero wind blocking- it's a mesh fabric- you must have a shell if you 're hiking/skiing/walking to mailbox. That said- I 've hiked in 15- 20F with wind and just this base and a heavy shell no problem. Note: It's very `` roomy ''. Great for me, but if you 're a bean pole you may be swimming in it- think about that when selecting sizes.

[ Merino is THE stuff for active comfort in the cold. The key is staying dry between rain, snow, and sweat... it's challenging. 100%( 95 and 88 also good) merino helps to achieve this goal. It's warm when you need it to be and water( all types) evaporates quickly to keep you from getting chilled from damp clothing. It's got to be part of a system though, and you have to use that system properly or you will get damp and cold. We just came back from five nights in our tent@ an avg. of 26F at night. After hiking all day in these and then, putting on fresh Smartwool tops and bottoms we were warm all night( we could have stayed in the same set if we had to). Medium weight is probably fine for most applications, but do be sure you 've got the right system for the conditions. In summer and spring it's less critical, but in winter( THE best time IMO)... having the wrong gear can make for a miserable experience... and a dangerous one. Smartwool has the added benefit of being able to go in the dryer at home... not all merino products can. That's my take.

This shirt is fantastic. It ’s basically just a much needed upgrade version of the 1/2 zip elements. What I mean by that is the material is soft and comfortable and stretchy. I love this top for my daily walks and runs. I just started running and i don ’ t like carrying my phone in my hand but I don ’ t want to wear a belt because they bounce too much. I put my phone in the big back pocket, and other things like keys, tissues, etc. in the other pockets, and I don ’ t feel them or notice them at all the whole time! I 've tried several sun shirts of different brands and majority feel clammy and make me feel hot in the sun. Not this shirt! The material is thin, breathable and very soft on your skin. I actually prefer the quarter zip version over the MH hoody due to the bottom hem design( hoody has a draw string at the bottom which I do n't care for). This shirt also has better neck protection for me since I always wear a wide brim hat when I hike and I would n't use the hood. And I really appreciate having quarter zip to allow more air through. [ This is a great shirt. Super soft and light. Great for travel and as a base layer for chili days or evenings. The only gripe is that I bought one of these a year ago, size large. When I bought the most recent one the large was now too tight. So I bought an extra large. Body fit is now great but sleeves are long!!

[ The top exceeded my expectations greatly! It is extremely comfortable. I like how the sleeves have the hole for your watch. So smart! The shirt is very thin, therefore I thought I may be cold and need a jacket in cold weather, but it amazingly held my body heat in perfectly without making me hot. I would not change a thing about it. I am normally a medium but got this in a large since I thought I might layer underneath it, but it does not run large. A medium would have been fine. I will wear this for exercising outside, but it will also be a great base layer when snowboarding.

This tops is soft like butter and super comfortable to walk, run or run errands in. One of my favorite features is that it has a hole in the sleeve for you to have your watch out if you don ’ t want to sacrifice the thumb holes to do so. Very genius! I would love to purchase other colors and add to my collection. Great job on this one Nike!
