Upgraded from my Fenix 7 to get the full color display. Much more vibrant and readable, with excellent battery life( about 3 weeks with moderate GPS use). As with prior models, it is a bit of a chore to get the menus, display fields, and the watch face customized to your liking, but after that, it just works, with excellent functionality. Main hesitation in recommending it is just the price. Unless you use the microphone/speaker functions( which I do only occasionally) the main upgrade from recent models is the display and battery life.

I love the Garmin ecosystem and have invested heavily in the Garmin fitness products as well as navigation. Coming from the Fenix 5 and Forerunner 955 Solar, I noticed some features didn ’ t carry over to the 7X Pro Sapphire Solar. I miss being able to see Notifications in a folder and the lack of wear- detection passcode are creature comforts for daily wear that I would, personally, like to see back. Other than that, I can ’ t recommend the watch and ecosystem enough.

This has been the best fitness watch I 've owned. I used to be a Fitbit person, but since switching to Garmin, I 'll never go back. The solar charging feature with this particular model is advantageous for outdoor users. There are many features with this watch that might be more geared towards experts, but anyone can benefit from it. Sturdy and robust design built for the hardships of everyday wear in all conditions. Great fitness tracking, gps, sleep monitoring, and the flashlight is awesome. UI is kind of weird like in most garmin products but the button interface makes it friendlier than most. Best suited for the committed adventurer and athlete. The solar display is less vibrant so watch faces can be a bit dull, the simpler face the better.

I mainly use it for running and cycling and its amazing. While this has all the bells and whistles it is definetley meant for the more serious consumer. The battery life is great on it, using this watch for all around activities but tracking your runs are great, I love that the screen is pretty much unbreakable and that the bezel doesn ’ t catch too much light causing glare. This is my very first Garmin watch- just made the switch from Apple! I have no regrets. It took me a day to understand how it works as it ’s definitely not as intuitive as an Apple, but once I figured things out and got used to the system it ’s fairly easy to navigate. I have been amazed by the level of tracking and data analysis, and oh the battery! It lasts 7- 8 days, and I train every day outdoor. I did disable all smart notifications, which is maybe why the battery lasts so long but I did not buy this watch to have another phone tied to my wrist. I am so happy with this purchase, and besides the functionalities, I also find it good looking.

[ Bought this last month. First of, MJ was great in replacing the first unit I received, which had clearly been used( likely prior buyer had returned it after wearing it). The unit I received as replacement has been phenomenal. Very user- friendly, awesome battery life, and what is impressing me so far is that Coros is very actively improving its features. Just this week they started rolling out turn- by turn navigation. While music functionality is somewhat limited right now( only storage of MP3s on the watch itself I have no doubt this will keep getting better as well. But even if not this watch will serve me very well for running, cycling, swimming, indoor rowing, and many other things for years to come.

This was a replacement for my Apple Watch. Never going back again. I like the rugged styling, which encourages activity, rather than being just an accessory. Lots of features, many of which I haven ’ t explored yet. Some of the interface controls are a bit confusing. It took me a long time to decide on the model I wanted, considering that there isn ’ t a easy way to compare all the available features and decide which one I want for the price point. Apart from the above, this one is a keeper. It almost grows on you.

This is my second Garmin, I also have the Instinct Crossover Solar( great watch). The Epix Pro( gen 2) has a bright display, ease of function, more data and tracking than anyone could need. The gps is the most accurate I have seen. The battery life is excellent, but I keep the watch face on the basic analog out of the box one, all I need. Easily my favor smart/sports watch, fits my lifestyle well. Though pricey, if you are looking for an Apple alternative, you can ’ t go wrong and will be more the pleased. Added value for uploading music to the expansive storage and ditching your phone during activities. Great buy. 5 stars.

The functionality of this watch is seemingly endless. It is great for regular wear and covers normal watch features, and the screen is bright and easily visible even in sunlight, which is a huge change from other digital watches I have had. The exercise tracking provides a plethora of health tie ins that really give a good idea of how effective that walk, run or hike was and the GPS mapping shows performance throughout the entire route. I ’ m not entirely sure about the sleep tracking. It seems to do a fair job, but sometimes tells me I had a nap when I have just been reading or watching a movie. Great idea and probably some real functionality to it. Lastly, the look is perfect. The dark grey titanium and the sapphire glass is awesome, and the ability to change screens and straps means you can have multiple “ different ” watches with very little extra cost. Overall, this watch is exactly what I have been looking for.

I ’ ve had it for a couple weeks and I like all the data it provides with regard to quantifying exercise volume, recovery, and optimal levels of activity. As a personal trainer training for several athletic pursuits, it ’s helping me track my recovery. It ’s inspiring me to take my sleep more seriously. I ’ m still learning how to use some of the advanced features. I no longer carry my phone hooked up to my HRM when I exercise. Anyway.. lots of positive changes to my life after finally biting the bullet and getting a smart watch. [ I absolutely love this watch! The battery life is amazing-- I only have to charge it once every two weeks, and I usually use it every day for activities that are 1- 2 hours long. The GPS has worked great, though I have n't tested it out on routes that might have reduced signal. There is no 'mountain bike' activity, though the regular 'ride' activity works perfectly fine for mountain bike rides. I really like that you can customize the watch face for each activity. Overall, great watch! Highly recommend!

I got an amazing deal on my epix watching for sales. All the features are great. Awesome battery life. The OLED screen looks amazing but have to do more than tip it to my face for it to engage. When sleeping and I need to see the time. It is great it glows but I have to touch it to my nose to turn on the screen;). Otherwise excellent training watch. Favorite feature is the sapphire screen. Had a FitBit years back for the purpose of tracking steps to keep healthy. Seriously think the item never tracked accurately. Came across Casio G- Shock watch/ Digital step tracker. 1st off, for Me not being a `` Watch '' person, I thought I would have a difficult time adjusting to it. NO. Very comfortable band, do n't really know it's there, seems to be tracking steps well. Appears more accurate than FitBit. Seeing the numbers also helps motivate for more steps if you 're short of your goal.:)
