These were for my two and a half year old grandson. They come with a stamped steel blade that ha no lateral traction. But with a flat file you can ad an edge by filing at slight angle until there is an mildly sharp edge on the out side edge of each blade. It really changes these to a usable skate and my little buddy was truly skating around the rink on his own. We had to pull him off after an hour and a half when the session was over. He absolutely loved it. They stayed on his feet pretty well, until the wing nut losened up a couple of times and allowed the skate to expand and come off. It could use a lock washer to keep it tight, With a little blade sharpening and a lock washer it's perfect for a toddlers first pair of skates. He had almost as much fun as I did.

[ This 31 '' skateboard is great for beginners. The top deck is all grip with a cool design. My 9 and 6 year old are having a blast practicing on it. The wheels run smooth on the sidewalk and driveway. The Hot Wheels graphics are crisp on the bottom. Seems easy to steer and sturdy for them starting out.

So he loves hot wheels and he wants to try skateboarding. He's going to be very happy with this on Christmas morning. The skateboard is very sturdy I stood on it and it's a sturdy board and it's nicely designed with the Hot Wheels theme.

[ My 3 young boys have been wanting to learn how to skateboard. This is actually a good skateboard the wheels are not as loose which may cause them flying like other skateboards. Because the wheels move slower, they feel more in control and motivated to learn. Design is pretty cool and the board is sturdily made. Size is pretty standard. Glad they can start learning with this snowboard as I have less worry about them going uncontrollably full speed. They love the skateboard as it bring them so much fun..

[ My son was real excited to get this skateboard as he loves Minecraft currently and enjoys the graphics of the `` creeper '' on the deck. The grip tape holds well and has a great grip, also it has `` Minecraft '' wording on the grip tape. My husband was also able to ride and do a few tricks on it although I would recommend it for kids/teens. The wheels can be a bit slippery on smooth surfaces but that may go away once they get worn in a little more. Overall the durability and appearance of this board seems great.
