The original skate was too small I got online with Dick's Chat line and within a few minutes a return was processed and a replacement skate was ordered in the correct size. I received the replacement skate in 3 days and the return slip was emailed to me the same day. Dick's went ahead and shipped the skate without me having to purchase the same pair and before they received the incorrect pair back in stock. This was not Dick's error but mine, I ordered the wrong size. The skate is great it looks like a good quality of material and is what I expected. For sporting goods Dick's will get my business.

I recently purchased these skates because I ca n't afford$ 150 skates at the moment. They are great quality for it's price. Did n't need major sharpening when I received it. They work great on the ice. I can do some jumps just do n't go too hard on it. I recommend using these skates for beginning classes but if you want to get into major competition I suggest spending the extra money to buy competition skates. I usually wear a size 7. 5/8 and I purchased a 7, it fit nicely.

As a young boy we could n't afford hockey skates so I always wore my sisters figure skates. Much later when I was now on my own I took back into ice skating but this time wearing men's hockey skates. The problem with the men's skates they did n't have toe picks and that was what I really missed. I hope if you ’ re looking for skates you ’ ve done your research about the differences in gliders, figure skates, and hockey skates. Got these as beginner skates for getting back into skating this year. I 've used 3 different rentals from different skating rinks and this has definitely outperformed all of them. They feel really stable and snug around the ankle( which is why I tend not to like figure skates) and they look great. I would definitely recommend them. Not sure if this is relevant but I 'm about 155 lbs, and use these for leisure ice skating, not triple axels lol. These are obviously not figure skates, I 'm not sure why other reviewers are so confused and expected them to be.

The boot was very comfortable and roomy. This was my first pair of traditional roller skates so I can not really compare them to other brands or models. I have owned several pairs of roller blades in the past, and I think these skates are far better for traditional, indoor roller skating. Overall I am very satisfied with the skates given their price.

It amazes me how much better you can skate owning your own pair of skates rather then renting them at the roller rink. My Grandsons skating improved 100% within one night of skating with these new skates. You figure the average rate to rent skates is about 4. 50 per night. I do n't like figure skates because I keep toe picking when ever I was skating. So I thought hockey skates would work. I trying on about a dozen men's hockey skates at the store, but none of them seemed to have the ankle support that I wanted. So I found these online and they seemed to be exactly what I need. Comfortable easy to get on and have a lot of support at a reasonable cost. My only suggestion is go bigger then you think. I tried on the same brand skate in figure skate and fit a size 6 fine, so I ordered those. But when they arrived my toes were jammed in the end when I tried the hockey skate on. I had to reorder is a size 7.

The laces are WAY too long. I changed them out with a 60 '' boot lace and they are perfect. The Velcro tab could be longer. When you strap it it does n't cover the Velcro and the laces get stuck in the Velcro. The skates appear to come sharpened but the edge was very inconsistent. I ’ m size 9 women US, 40 EU and if I had ordered what the chart says I should have ordered skate size 7 but I didn ’ t I ordered 8 since a neighbor who is an ice hockey ref told me order one size down Bauer skate size as opposed to your shoes size. I ordered 8 skate size and it fits perfectly although the box says 42 EU. Sizing is way out of wack. Just order one size down in skate sizing from your shoe size.
