[ I 've been looking for an alternative to my Xtratuffs and came across these. The comfort on the midsole is what I was really looking forward too. Long days on my feet on a 10+ hour workday means I need all the comfort I can get and so far these shoes have met my expectations. So far the outer water protection layer is holding up. The only downside I 've found so far is the opening to the shoe is narrow and I have to wear long socks or pants that come down to protect my shins from all the rubbing and hitting from walking.

The boot is fairly lightweight and rugged. Very simple boot without much to it. Fits true to size and is able to lace up securely. Not as stiff as most other wading boots. I like that it has the metal rivets along the eyelights for the laces. These boots appear as if they were made to last. I would recommend this boot to others. It was a tad bulkier than what it appears in the picture, but not excessively so. Fits well with a lot of good support. Easy to walk in for a long day of fishing.

I ’ m on my second pair. They last about 14 months for me. But I truly don ’ t mind because these are by far the most comfortable deck boot/shoe whatever you wan na call it that I ’ ve worn. I compare the soul of the boot to one of the “ helm pads ” that are nice and squishy and comfy to save your feet back and knees on those nasty days running in a 27 ’ cc. With these no matter where you stand you have a helm pad under your feet. I ’ ve had many pairs of the original 6 ” xtratufs over the years and one pair of all black leathers 6 ” boots for work and the sports are still by far my favorite. If I ever hear they are going to discontinue this line, I will hoard as many pairs as I can lol.
