Do yourself a favor when purchasing this bottle. There is a rubber o- ring locating inside of the cap. It has a pull tab molded into it on the mating surface( of all places I know). Carefully take a razor blade and remove that tab. Your bottle will now be “ factory issued ” leak free.

Love that the silicone is painted on the glass. The silicone bumper adds a bit of slip and bump protection, especially when placing the bottle on a granite counter top. I do wish there was a simple cap, with or without a drinking spout, so the bottle does n't leak. For instance, my water bottle often ends up tipped over on the passenger seat of my car, and the current lid does leak, a little quicker than I realized originally.

I got this one because I am worry having the parts that I put my mouth on exposed to the outside environment. I considered the quencher flip straw, but the top of the straw is still exposed when folded down. I also worry about mold gathering in the crevices.
