purchased for my daughter who is a club level soccer player. she decided she no longer likes the guard thaw rap around the ankle and wanted to try insert style ones. I would say size up from the suggested heights posted on the package. I know it is by design and these ar supposed to be minimal, but if your used to it covering more of your shin buy the next size up.
